Colony Flow Level 1054 drops you right into a beautiful pixel art scene of a dolphin jumping out of the ocean against a bright sunset. You have a massive number of tiles to clear and a major obstacle blocking your path on the right side. I play through every single level to find the safest routes and this one requires careful traffic management. I will show you how to pull the right blocks in the right order so you keep the ants moving and never jam your board.

Colony Flow Level 1054 Overview

What You Are Working With

The picture on this board features several distinct color zones. The top and outer edges form a deep red sky that transitions into a pink and purple sunset in the middle. The left side holds a bright orange and yellow sun with extending rays. The center of the board features the black and dark grey silhouette of a jumping dolphin. The bottom section is filled with light blue and cyan water tiles.

The biggest obstacle on this board is the Hungry Door sitting in the bottom right corner of the picture. This is a large wooden chest with a giant 90 stamped on the front. It covers a large portion of the right side water and sky tiles. Your tray at the bottom of the screen contains blocks with high numbers like 49, 58, and 60. This means you need wide open spaces for these large ant colonies to march and eat without backing up into the nest.

What It Takes to Clear Level 1054 Board

To win this level you must clear every single colored tile from the board and allow all the ants to finish their meals. The game gives you five waiting slots at the bottom of the screen. You pull a numbered block from the tray into a waiting slot to send that color ant onto the board.

You lose the level if all five waiting slots fill up with blocks that have nowhere to go. If you pull an orange block while the orange tiles are blocked by the blue water tiles the orange block will just sit there and take up space. You must always keep a clear physical path from the nest hole to the matching tiles. You also need to feed the Hungry Door early on so it opens and stops blocking the bottom right corner of the puzzle.

Colony Flow Level 1054 Step by Step Solution

Step 1: Open the bottom edge with water and sky colors

You need to attack the tiles closest to the nest hole immediately. The light blue and cyan water tiles sit right above the starting area. Pull your blue 55 block and your cyan 42 block into the waiting slots. The ants will stream out and begin eating the water on the left side. At the exact same time you must pull a red 60 block. The red ants will march out of the hole and travel to the far right corner to start eating the red sky border. This opens two completely separate traffic lanes and keeps your waiting slots moving.

Step 2: Begin clearing the dolphin body

screenshot

With the lower water tiles receding you now have a direct path to the black dolphin in the center of the board. Pull your black 55 block from the tray. The black ants will march straight up the middle of the screen and start eating the belly of the dolphin. You need to clear this central area early because the dolphin physically blocks the pink and purple sky tiles located behind it. Clearing the black tiles creates a massive central highway for your other colors to use later.

Step 3: Keep the tray moving by clearing the sun and rays

screenshot

The sun is made of orange and yellow tiles sitting just above the water on the left edge. Now that the light blue water is mostly gone you have a clear path to the sun. Pull your yellow 40 block and your orange 48 block into the waiting slots. The ants will march up the left side and eat the sun rays. Do not pull these bright blocks too early. If you try to play an orange block before the water is clear the block will sit in your tray and risk a dead end.

Step 4: Manage the Hungry Door countdown

screenshot

The Hungry Door chest on the right side requires 90 ants to interact with it before it opens. You cannot ignore this element or it will ruin your late game. Keep pulling purple and red blocks to send ants up the right side. As the ants pass by to reach the sky tiles they will hit the door and drop the counter. You will see the number drop from 90 down into the 60s and 40s. You must maintain a steady flow of ants on this side of the board so the door vanishes in time.

Step 5: Clear the middle sky section

screenshot

The sky directly behind the dolphin consists of pink and purple tiles. Since the belly of the dolphin is gone you finally have a clear path to this area. Pull the purple 49 and 48 blocks from your tray. The purple ants will follow the central highway you created in the second step. They will spread out across the middle of the board and eat the sunset sky. Always watch your waiting slots during this phase. Ensure the path is wide enough before pulling another large block.

Step 6: Wrap around the top border with red ants

screenshot

The red sky forms a massive frame around the entire picture. As you clear the lower sections you open paths up the extreme left and right edges. Pull your large red blocks now. You will see huge groups of red ants march out of the nest hole and travel all the way up the sides. They will start wrapping around the top edge and connect in the middle. This creates a huge square border of red ants working on the outer limits of the puzzle. This move consumes your largest blocks and frees up valuable tray space.

Step 7: Break through the open Hungry Door area

screenshot

Eventually the counter on the Hungry Door hits zero and the chest completely disappears. This reveals a new cluster of tiles that were hidden underneath it the whole time. Immediately pull the matching colors to clear this newly opened section. Do not let these exposed tiles sit there. Send a mix of purple and cyan ants to clean up this bottom right corner. This clears the final major roadblock on the lower half of the puzzle and gives your remaining ants complete freedom to roam.

Step 8: Finish the remaining pixel art outline

By this point the solid picture is mostly gone. You are left with a thin skeleton outline of the dolphin and some scattered sky tiles at the very top. Pull your remaining black blocks to finish off the nose and dorsal fin of the dolphin. You will see smaller blocks in your tray now like a cyan 2 and a purple 3. Pull these smaller cleanup blocks to finish the straggling tiles. The board is very open now so the ants have plenty of room to move without colliding. Keep matching the final few colors in your tray until the last tile disappears and you win the level.

Final Thought

Level 1054 looks intimidating because of the high block numbers and the giant Hungry Door blocking the right side. The trick is simply maintaining two separate lanes of traffic so your waiting slots constantly empty out. If you open the water on the left and feed the door on the right you will naturally create enough space to win. If any step is hard to follow in text I encourage you to watch the video above this article to see the exact ant paths in motion.
