Welcome to Colony Flow Level 302. This board presents a distinct picture resembling a flag with horizontal stripes and a central sun emblem. You will need careful block management to dig through the layers and collect three different colored keys. I played through this exact layout and will show you the precise sequence to reach the end without jamming your waiting slots.
Colony Flow Level 302 Overview
What You Are Working With
The board is arranged in three wide horizontal stripes made of colored food tiles. The top and bottom stripes are made entirely of light blue food tiles. The middle stripe is composed of white food tiles. Right in the center of the white stripe sits a sun shaped emblem made of brown outer tiles and orange inner tiles.
You have three distinct keys resting on top of the food tiles. A light blue key sits on the right side of the middle white stripe. An orange key sits on the left side of that same white stripe. A green key rests high up in the middle of the top light blue stripe. Down in your tray you will find single numbered blocks and connected boxes linking two colors together. You will also see hidden boxes obscured by locks. The colored locks in your tray match the colors of the keys scattered on the board.
What It Takes to Clear Level 302 Board
Your main goal is to peel back the food tiles layer by layer from the bottom up. The ants enter from the central nest hole at the bottom and immediately have access to the bottom light blue stripe. You must clear enough of this bottom stripe to carve a direct path to the white tiles and eventually the keys. Every key you collect flies down to the tray and removes a matching lock. This action reveals new blocks you desperately need to finish the remaining tiles. You lose the level if you fill all five waiting slots with blocks that have no open path to their matching food tiles. You must only deploy a specific color when the ants can actually reach it.
Colony Flow Level 302 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Start by targeting the bottom light blue stripe.
When the level begins the ants can only reach the light blue food tiles located at the very bottom of the board. The nest hole sits directly under this stripe. Do not pull any white or brown blocks into your waiting slots yet because the ants have absolutely no way to reach those colors. If you pull a white block now it will sit in your waiting slot forever and push you closer to losing the level. Instead look at your tray and find the available light blue blocks. You have a few options including large blocks that require twenty ants. Pull a light blue block up into an empty waiting slot. The ants will stream out of the nest hole and begin eating the bottom edge. As long as the light blue path remains open the numbers on your blocks will count down and clear out of the waiting slots. Keep feeding light blue blocks to the ants until the bottom stripe thins out significantly. Your goal is to make the ants reach the edge of the middle white stripe on the right side of the board.
Step 2: Push through the right side to grab the light blue key.
Your first major objective on the board is the light blue key located on the right side of the middle white stripe. The ants need a clear path through the bottom light blue tiles to reach the white tiles holding that specific key. Continue deploying light blue blocks to eat away the right side of the bottom stripe. Once the white food tiles are finally exposed to the open air you can safely pull a white block from the tray. Send a white block up and watch the ants carve into the middle stripe on the right side. They will march past the remaining light blue tiles and eat the white tiles directly underneath the light blue key. Once the supporting tile disappears the light blue key drops down and flies straight into your tray. This action unlocks the first hidden box secured by a matching lock. Collecting this key gives you access to a massive white block that you absolutely need for the next phase of the board.
Step 3: Deploy white blocks to clear the middle section.
With the light blue key collected and the large white block unlocked you can now make a huge dent in the middle section of the board. Pull the newly unlocked white block into your waiting slots. The ants will swarm the middle white stripe from the right side and begin clearing their way toward the left side. You will see multiple blocks requiring twenty ants in your tray. You can pull them safely now because the white path is wide open and the ants will not get stuck. Your goal here is to open paths to two new areas. You need to reach the orange key resting on the far left side of the white stripe. You also need to reach the brown and orange sun sitting right in the center of the board. Keep a close eye on your waiting slots as the ants work. If a white block is taking a long time to count down do not pull a brown or orange block yet. Wait until the ants clear a path that actually touches the center sun before you introduce new colors to the tray.
Step 4: Collect the orange key and attack the center sun.
As the ants eat their way across the white stripe they will eventually clear the tiles beneath the orange key on the left side. The orange key will fly down to your tray and remove the orange lock covering the next hidden box. At this exact same time the ants should have exposed the outer edges of the brown and orange sun in the middle of the board. Now is the perfect time to pull those brown and orange blocks you have been holding back in your tray. You will notice a connected box linking an orange block to a light blue block. Pulling a connected box means both colors take up waiting slots at the same time. This is safe to do now because both the orange inner tiles of the sun and the remaining light blue tiles have open paths. The ants will easily access the center sun and consume the brown outer tiles followed by the orange inner tiles. This clears out a huge physical obstacle in the exact middle of the board and allows the ants to walk straight up toward the final top stripe.
Step 5: Work your way up to the green key.
You still have one key left to collect to finish opening your tray. The green key is sitting high up in the exact center of the top light blue stripe. To get the ants up there they must finish eating the remaining white tiles in the middle stripe directly above where the sun used to be. Pull any remaining white blocks from your tray into the waiting slots. The ants will march straight up the middle and consume the last white food tiles. This upward action finally exposes the bottom edge of the top light blue stripe. Once the white tiles are completely gone you can pull a light blue block to send the ants into the top stripe. They will eat the light blue tiles directly under the green key. The green key will then fly down and open the final green lock in your tray. This unlocks the very last set of blocks you need to finish the puzzle.
Step 6: Empty the final tray blocks to clear the remaining top tiles.
The green key unlocks the last few hidden boxes you need to clear the board. These final boxes usually contain large light blue numbers and perhaps one last small white or orange block depending on what tiles are left. At this point the only food tiles left on the board are the light blue tiles making up the top stripe and maybe a couple of stray tiles elsewhere. The path is completely wide open from the nest hole straight to the top of the board. Pull the remaining light blue blocks into your empty waiting slots. The ants will stream up the board in a massive long wave and fan out across the top stripe. Because you saved these blocks until the path was completely open your waiting slots will never jam up. The numbers will rapidly count down to zero as the ants consume the very last light blue food tiles. The board will turn completely empty and you will successfully clear the level.
Final Thought
This level requires patience and a strict order of operations. You have to resist pulling blocks for colors that the ants cannot reach yet. If you struggle with the exact timing of the keys or how to manage the connected boxes I highly recommend watching the video above this article. Seeing the ants move in real time makes the correct path much easier to understand.
