Colony Flow Level 1234 features a beautiful pixel art picture of a farmer tending to green plants. You have to guide a massive colony of ants through a maze of colored tiles to clear the entire board. I played through every stage of this puzzle and figured out the exact sequence of moves you need to succeed. This specific board tests your ability to manage limited space in your waiting area while opening up long travel paths for your ants. You will need to carefully peel back the outer layers of the picture before you can reach the character in the middle.
Colony Flow Level 1234 Overview
What You Are Working With
The puzzle board displays a detailed picture made entirely of colored square tiles. The main image is a farmer wearing purple overalls over a white shirt. The character has a brown face and hands and wears a bright teal hat. The farmer is holding a dark tool and stands next to some large green leafy plants. The entire background behind the farmer is built out of bright pink tiles.
At the bottom of your screen you have a tray full of colored blocks with numbers on them. Some of these blocks stand alone while others are linked together by thin connecting lines. The connecting lines mean those blocks are grouped and will pull together. Just above the tray you have five empty square slots. This is your waiting area. Your ants live in a small round nest hole situated exactly between the waiting slots and the pixel art picture.
What It Takes to Clear Level 1234 Board
To win this level you must match the colored blocks from your tray to the corresponding colored tiles in the picture above. When you tap a block in the tray it moves up into one of your five waiting slots. If the ants have an open physical path from their nest to a picture tile of that exact color they will run out and eat it. Every time an ant eats a tile the number on your waiting block drops by one. When the number hits zero the block vanishes from your waiting slot and frees up that space.
Your main challenge is managing those five slots. If you pull a block and the ants cannot reach that color on the board the block sits there and blocks a slot. If you fill all five slots with blocks that have no open path you lose the game immediately. You must carefully read the board and only pull colors that touch the empty background space. Since the picture is completely surrounded by pink background tiles you have to start on the outside edge and slowly carve your way into the center.
Colony Flow Level 1234 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Clear the outer pink border to give your ants room to move
The entire picture is boxed in by pink tiles. You cannot reach the farmer or the green plants until you remove this outer shell. Tap the large pink thirty block in your tray to send it to your waiting area. A massive stream of ants will pour out of the nest and begin chewing away the pink tiles along the bottom edge of the board. Pull a second pink block right after the first one finishes. This will clear out the left and right corners of the background. By removing this pink layer you expose the green plants on the sides and the dark purple shoes at the very bottom. You must resist the urge to pull central colors like brown or white right now because those tiles are completely blocked and pulling them will jam your waiting slots.
Step 2: Attack the green plants on the left and right sides
Now that the pink border is partially gone you can see the green plant tiles clearly. Tap the green eighteen block in your tray. The ants will march up the sides of the board and start clearing the large leafy sections. Removing these green tiles is critical because they block access to the purple shirt sleeves and the dark tools the farmer is holding. Watch the ants work and wait for the green block to completely disappear from your waiting slot. This ensures you keep your slot spaces open and ready for the next sequence of moves.
Step 3: Begin clearing the purple overalls from the bottom up
With the lower edges clear the ants now have direct access to the purple overalls. Pull the purple twenty four block and the purple ten block into your waiting slots. The ants will swarm directly up the middle of the board and consume the pants and lower body of the character. This action splits the board right down the middle and creates a huge open channel for your ants to travel through. Pay close attention to the numbers dropping on your purple blocks. If the numbers slow down it means the ants are having to travel further up the board to find the next purple tile.
Step 4: Manage the connected purple and green blocks carefully
Look closely at your tray and you will spot a green thirty block linked to a purple block. When you tap either of these blocks they both move into your waiting slots at the same time. This immediately consumes two of your five available spaces. Because you already opened up paths to both the green leaves and the purple clothing in the previous steps this is the perfect time to play them. Tap the connected pair. The ants will intelligently split into two groups. One group will head left to finish the green leaves while the other group marches up the middle to eat more of the purple overalls. Both blocks will count down evenly and free up your slots without causing a jam.
Step 5: Reveal the white shirt trim and blue shoe details
The purple overalls cover a white shirt and the character is wearing dark blue shoes. These details are now exposed thanks to your work in the center of the board. Pull the white ten block and the blue thirty block. The ants will rush the blue tiles at the bottom first since they are closest to the nest. After that they will climb higher up the newly opened center channel to reach the white shirt trim on the chest. Getting the white tiles out of the way finally exposes the brown face and the yellow buttons on the shirt.
Step 6: Eliminate the remaining pink background and the teal hat
The upper section of the board still holds a large chunk of pink sky and a bright teal hat. Pull the final pink blocks from your tray to clear the sky. The ants have a long walk to reach the top of the board so your waiting slots will stay occupied a bit longer than usual. Once the pink is gone the teal hat is completely vulnerable. Tap the teal twenty two block. The ants will stream all the way to the top and eat the entire hat. This removes the roof off the character and allows your ants to attack the brown face from the top down as well as from the bottom up.
Step 7: Clear the brown face and the yellow buttons
The brown tiles forming the face and hands are now totally open. Tap the brown eighteen block. The ants will rush in from all angles to consume the head and hands. As the brown tiles vanish the yellow buttons on the shirt are left completely alone. Tap the yellow four block. Because you only need a few ants to eat four tiles this block will vanish from your tray in a split second. Clearing the face and buttons destroys the recognizable shape of the character and leaves only scattered pixels behind.
Step 8: Clean up the small dark red and dark purple fragments
You will notice a few dark red and dark purple tiles scattered where the tools and hands used to be. Tap the dark red three block and the dark purple ten block. Since the board is mostly empty space now the ants will take the absolute shortest straight line path to reach these tiles. You will see a very fast clear speed here. Keep your eyes on the tray and make sure you pull the exact colors you see remaining on the board.
Step 9: Sweep the final remaining tiles to win the level
Depending on the exact path your ants took you will have a handful of green and purple tiles left floating alone on the screen. Tap your remaining green fifteen block and purple seventeen block. The last few ants will run out of the nest and grab these final pixels. The board will turn completely empty and the victory screen will trigger. Always stay patient on these final moves because tapping a wrong color that does not exist on the board will permanently lock that waiting slot.
Final Thought
Winning this level comes down to strict slot management and reading the board from the outside edges inward. You always have to respect the pink background and peel it away before you try to reach the inner character details.
