Welcome to Colony Flow Level 46. This board presents a massive light blue background surrounding a very cute pixel art character face with floppy ears. You will need to carefully manage a huge pile of blue numbered blocks alongside the smaller color blocks required for the character details. I play every single level to figure out the best routes and I am going to walk you through the exact order of moves to keep your ants moving smoothly.

Colony Flow Level 46 Overview

What You Are Working With

The board features a central pixel art character that looks like a cute bunny. The character has a white face with cyan ears and a dark black outline. There are also small pink cheek marks. Surrounding this character is a gigantic light blue background. Your tray starts absolutely packed with blue blocks holding high numbers like thirty five and thirty. You will also see blocks for cyan, white, black, and pink. Deep in your tray you will spot blocks that have a green lock on them. Up on the board resting between the character ears is a green key. You must collect that green key to unlock those specific blocks in your tray. This lock and key mechanic forces you to clear the center of the board before you can access all your tools.

What It Takes to Clear Level 46 Board

Winning this level requires a steady and disciplined approach to your five waiting slots. Because the blue background is so large, you will be tempted to pull too many blue blocks at once. You must clear the bottom border first to create paths reaching up to the character. From there you will clear the lower black outline, empty the white face tiles, and then send cyan ants up to the ears. This progression exposes the green key. Once you grab the green key you will unlock the remaining tray blocks and finish clearing the massive upper blue background. You lose the level if you fill all five waiting slots and no ants have an open path to reach their matching color tiles.

Colony Flow Level 46 Step by Step Solution

Step 1: Clear the bottom blue border to open the board.

Start pulling the blue blocks from your tray into your waiting slots. You have several blue blocks with thirty five and thirty printed on them staring right at you. Pulling one or two blue blocks sends your ants streaming out of the nest hole and running directly to the bottom edge of the blue background. They begin eating the bottom border tiles and creating a wide open path pointing up toward the pixel art character. You want to make sure you do not pull too many blue blocks at once. If you fill all five slots with blue blocks before the ants can finish eating the bottom border you will jam the board and lose the level. Keep a close eye on the numbers counting down and only pull a new blue block when an old one is about to disappear.

Step 2: Deploy pink and black ants for the lower details.

Once the bottom blue border disappears the lower edge of the character outline becomes accessible to your ants. You will see a small pink block with a six on it and a large black block with a forty three on it in your tray. Pull both of these into your open waiting slots. The pink ants will rush up and eat the small pink cheek blushes on the character face. The black ants will swarm out and travel up the freshly cleared path to attack the black border tiles forming the chin and lower head outline. Clearing this lower black outline acts as a barrier removal tool protecting the white tiles of the face. By removing the black barrier early you create multiple new paths for future colors. Always verify that the ants have a direct route before you pull their block.

Step 3: Clear the white face tiles to empty the center.

Now that the lower black outline is gone the white face tiles are completely exposed. Pull a white block from the tray into an open waiting slot. You have a massive white block with fifty six ready to go. The white ants will run straight up the middle and spread out across the lower half of the character face. They will devour the white tiles quickly. This massive clearing action is fantastic for your overall board management. It opens up a huge empty space right in the dead center of the screen. Having a large open area allows your ants to travel much faster to the upper sections of the picture later on in the level. Do not rush and pull other colors while this giant white block is working. Let the white block finish its job so you maintain open slots in your waiting area.

Step 4: Bring in cyan ants to work on the ears and head.

With the white face completely gone the lower parts of the cyan head and ears become easily reachable. Find a cyan block in your tray and pull it up. You have several cyan blocks with thirty ready to use. The cyan ants will march up through the empty space left by the white tiles and begin eating the bright colored tiles. You will notice the cyan sections are split into the main top portion of the head and two floppy ears. The ants will naturally branch out to eat whatever cyan tiles are closest to them. Watch the numbers on your cyan blocks decrease as the ants do their work. This move pushes your progress higher up the board and gets you significantly closer to the special item waiting at the very top.

Step 5: Expose and collect the green key.

screenshot

As your cyan ants clear the head and ears you will see the green key sitting exposed on the board right between the ears. You absolutely must collect this key to win the game. Your tray holds locked blocks that you cannot use until you grab that specific green key. Keep pulling cyan blocks to strip away the tiles immediately surrounding the key. Once the adjacent tiles disappear an ant will run right over the key and collect it for you. You will hear a distinct sound and watch a green lock vanish from a block sitting down in your tray. This action frees up the final blocks you need for the last stages of the level. Ignoring the key will eventually cause a total jam in your waiting slots because you will run out of unlocked blocks to pull.

Step 6: Use the newly unlocked blocks to clean up the middle.

Look at your tray and you will find the blocks that just had their green locks removed. Pull them into a waiting slot if their matching color is exposed on the board. You will also see a few remaining black outline tiles and dark eye tiles scattered around the middle area from earlier. Pull another black block to send black ants to clear those dark details. Removing these small clusters of colored tiles keeps the center of the board completely clean and unobstructed. A perfectly clean center guarantees that your final waves of ants will have incredibly short travel times to reach the very top edges of the picture. Short travel times keep your waiting slots rotating quickly.

Step 7: Manage the massive upper blue background blocks.

screenshot

At this point the pixel art character is mostly gone and you are left with a huge wall of blue tiles wrapping around the top half of the screen. Your tray is absolutely packed with blue blocks holding numbers like thirty five and thirty. Begin pulling these blue blocks into your waiting slots one by one. The blue ants will swarm straight up the middle and fan out to the far left and right sides of the blue background. This is where patience is your greatest weapon. The blue ants have a very long distance to travel to reach the top corners. If you panic and drag five blue blocks into your waiting slots all at once you will clog the flow and lose instantly. Pull two blue blocks then watch them count down and then pull a third.

Step 8: Send a final wave of black ants for the top corners.

While the blue ants are busy eating the giant blue background you will notice a few dark black outline tiles remaining on the very top edges of the character ears. Pull your final black block into a waiting slot. The black ants will run all the way up the sides of the board to eat those last few border pieces. This is a very satisfying moment because it completely erases the pixel character from the board leaving only the background frame. Make sure the black ants have a completely clear path along the edges before you pull their block into your tray. You do not want them getting stuck walking behind a massive swarm of blue ants.

Step 9: Empty your tray and clear the final blue tiles.

You are now looking at just a few blue background tiles lingering in the very upper corners of the board. You only have one or two blue blocks left sitting in your tray. Pull them up into your waiting slots. Watch the final horde of blue ants sprint up the board and devour the last remaining blue pixels. The numbers on your final blue blocks will hit zero and the blocks will disappear from your tray entirely. The screen is completely clear of all tiles and you have successfully won the level. Taking your time with these final blue blocks ensures you cross the finish line without making a simple mistake at the very end.

Final Thought

Keeping your waiting slots free is the entire secret to winning this game and this level proves it. You have to handle a massive amount of blue blocks without letting them pile up and trap your other colors. If you found any of these specific moves tricky to visualize in text I highly encourage you to watch the video above this article. Watching the ants flow in real time will help you master the exact timing required to clear the board safely.
