What You Are Working With

The picture at the top of your screen is a complex nature scene. You have a bright yellow sun in the center surrounded by white clouds and light blue sky. Below that you see dark blue and teal water with a large red sailboat on the left side. The bottom layer is a brown sandy beach. A large Hungry Door sits on the bottom right corner of the picture taking up a lot of space. This door requires 60 teal tiles to open. Your tray at the bottom holds dozens of numbered blocks in various colors including white yellow brown blue and pink. Some of these are connected boxes that take up two slots at once and only clear when both colors can reach the board.

What It Takes to Clear Level 1131 Board

You win this level by clearing every single colored tile from the picture. The ants emerge from their nest hole and follow open paths to the exposed edges of the picture. You must select the right colored blocks from the tray to match the exposed tiles. If you pull a block and the ants cannot reach that color the block sits stuck in one of your five waiting slots. If all five slots fill up with trapped blocks you lose the level immediately. You must balance clearing the outer edges dropping the Hungry Door counter and managing the connected boxes so you always keep at least one waiting slot completely open.

Colony Flow Level 1131 Step by Step Solution

Step 1: Clear the outer white sky and brown beach tiles

Begin by targeting the exposed edges of the picture so the ants have room to work. Tap the white 34 block and the brown 33 block from the top row of your tray. The ants will swarm out of the nest hole and head straight for the white clouds along the top border and the brown ground along the very bottom edge. As the ants consume these tiles the numbers on your white and brown blocks will quickly count down to zero. Keeping these outer paths active ensures your waiting slots clear out fast. You never want to pull a block hidden deep inside the picture because it will just sit in your slot and create a dangerous bottleneck early on.

Step 2: Feed the Hungry Door by pulling teal blocks

The large Hungry Door on the bottom right is your biggest obstacle and you must start working on it right away. It demands 60 teal tiles before it will open and reveal the picture underneath. Bring up the teal 35 block from your tray into a waiting slot. The ants will travel to the light green and teal water lines located just above the brown beach. Every time an ant eats a teal tile you will see the number on the Hungry Door drop. It will drop from 60 down into the forties as this first block does its work. Keeping the teal tiles flowing is the only way to remove this massive blockade.

Step 3: Remove the purple and dark blue edge pieces

Now shift your attention to the right side of the sunset picture where several purple and dark blue tiles are exposed. Tap the purple 24 block and the dark blue 30 block to send your ants over to that side. The ants will carve out a large chunk of the right border and parts of the red boat. This creates a much wider path for future ants to travel. Pay close attention to your waiting slots right now. You only have five spaces so wait until the purple block completely finishes and vanishes before you pull any new colors from the tray. Patience here keeps your board safe from a dead end.

Step 4: Manage your first set of connected boxes carefully

screenshot

You will soon uncover connected boxes in your tray including a linked purple and pink block pair. When you pull these connected boxes they take up two of your waiting slots instantly. You must ensure both the purple and pink tiles have open paths on the board before you make this move. Fortunately the previous steps opened up the pink tiles near the red sailboat and the remaining purple tiles on the right. Tap the connected pair and watch the ants split up to tackle both colors. The numbers will count down together and eventually free up those two vital slots.

Step 5: Continue chipping away at the Hungry Door requirement

screenshot

The Hungry Door is still blocking a large section of the beach and you need to drop its counter even lower. Pull the next teal 17 block into your waiting tray. The ants will rush to the remaining water sections under the yellow sun. You will watch the door requirement drop from the twenties down to single digits. Do not rush to pull other random colors while this is happening. Let the ants focus entirely on the teal tiles so you can prepare to eliminate the door. An open board is a safe board and removing that door gives your ants massive freedom of movement.

Step 6: Break open the Hungry Door to access the hidden tiles

Tap the teal 10 block to deliver the final blow to the Hungry Door. The ants will eat the last few required teal tiles and the counter will hit zero. The heavy door will instantly vanish from the board. This completely exposes the bottom right corner of the picture. You will now see extra brown ground tiles and light blue water tiles that were trapped underneath it. This is a huge turning point for the level because you no longer have to worry about the door blocking your paths. Your ants can now freely march into the center of the puzzle.

Step 7: Clear the red sailboat sails on the left side

screenshot

With the bottom right completely open you can safely target the large red sailboat sitting on the left side of the water. Pull the red 32 block into an empty waiting slot. The ants will travel up the left side and begin devouring the bright red sails. Since the boat is fully exposed the number on your red block will drop very fast. Keep your other slots clear while the red block works. Once the red sails disappear you have a completely clear path to the giant yellow sun right in the middle of the sky.

Step 8: Consume the giant yellow sun in the center

The yellow sun is the largest single color object left on the board. Tap the yellow 30 block and the yellow 16 block from your tray. You will see a massive swarm of ants march straight into the center of the picture to eat the sun. The yellow tiles form a dense circle so the ants do not have to travel far to find their next meal. The numbers on your yellow blocks will plummet rapidly. When the yellow blocks finish and leave your tray the picture will look incredibly empty. You are now entering the final cleanup phase of the level.

Step 9: Use the brown and teal connected boxes to sweep the beach

You will encounter another tricky set of connected boxes featuring a brown 34 block and a teal 34 block. Now that the door is gone and the sun is clear you have perfect access to the rest of the bottom beach and the water lines. Tap this connected pair to bring them into your slots. The ants will alternate between cleaning up the last brown ground pixels and the final teal water pixels. Since the board is wide open they will complete this massive order without any pathing issues. Your tray is now getting very close to empty.

Step 10: Clean up the final scattered sky and water tiles

The only things left on the board are a few disconnected pieces of light blue sky pink clouds and white highlights. Look at your tray and pull the final pink 5 block orange 1 block and white 8 block. The ants will have to travel a bit further to hunt down these scattered pieces but they have completely clear paths to reach them. Keep your remaining tray blocks in reserve until these small numbers hit zero. Let the ants sweep the top corners and the far right edge to consume the last bits of the sunset.

Step 11: Empty the tray and finish the puzzle

You only have a few blocks remaining in your tray including a connected pink and light blue block. Tap them to send them into your final waiting slots. The ants will rush to the last two or three pixels remaining on the completely empty canvas. Watch the numbers drop to zero as the ants swallow the final pieces. The picture is now completely clear and the tray is empty. You have successfully managed your waiting slots and guided your ant colony to victory without ever hitting a dead end.

Final Thought

That is exactly how you conquer this puzzle without filling up your slots and failing. Managing the connected boxes and focusing entirely on dropping the Hungry Door requirement early makes all the difference here. If you find any of these movements hard to follow in text just watch the video above this article. Seeing the ants clear the paths in real time will help you master the exact timing you need to win.
