Colony Flow Level 160 presents a fun and detailed pixel art scene of a car parked outdoors. The picture is a full circle packed with bright colors and distinct sections. You have to deal with sky tiles, grass tiles, and the complex shape of the vehicle itself. The challenge here comes from managing your tray space while dealing with tricky special tiles that want to fill up your waiting slots all at once. I played through this board and found that patience and careful slot management are exactly what you need to win.
Colony Flow Level 160 Overview
What You Are Working With
The picture at the top of your screen shows a colorful outdoor scene. You will see a large light blue sky taking up the top half. White and light blue clouds float above a pink car. The car features bright orange windows and dark blue wheels. Below the car sits a layer of green grass and an orange sandy ground. Your ants have four open paths to reach the tiles. Two paths lead in from the top left and top right corners. Two more paths enter from the bottom left and bottom right corners. Your tray at the bottom holds a mix of block colors with varying numbers. The main special tile in this level is the Connected Boxes element. You will find groups of two blocks, three blocks, and even four blocks linked together by solid lines.
What It Takes to Clear Level 160 Board
To beat this board you must completely clear every tile in the circular picture. The Connected Boxes are your biggest obstacle. When you tap a connected group they all move into your waiting slots at the same time. If you tap a group of four blocks you must have four empty slots ready. If your slots fill up and no ants can reach their matching colors the board jams and you lose the level. You will clear the large outer sections first to make room. Then you will carefully pull the connected groups one by one. You win when the final cloud or car detail disappears and your ants finish their work.
Colony Flow Level 160 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Clear the outer edges of the sky to open up the top paths
You want to start by opening up the large light blue sky section at the top. Your initial tray contains several large light blue blocks with high numbers. Tap these single blocks to send them up to the waiting slots. The ants will stream in from the top left and top right paths. They will immediately start eating away the rounded edges of the sky. This move is completely safe because the light blue tiles are fully exposed on the outer boundary of the circular picture. By clearing these single blocks first you free up valuable space in your lower tray rows. You need this space to reveal the connected boxes hidden underneath. Let the light blue numbers count down until the top half of the picture flattens out and the white clouds become visible. The ants move quickly here so your slots will empty out in no time.
Step 2: Pull the first set of orange connected blocks to clear the ground
Once the sky opens up a bit you will spot your first set of Connected Boxes. Look closely at your tray for an orange block holding the number seven and another orange block holding the number twenty three linked together by a thick line. Before you tap them you must check your waiting slots. You must have at least two open spaces ready to receive them. Tap the orange pair and they will slide up into your waiting slots together. The bright orange ants will run through the bottom paths and target the orange ground area located below the grass. These orange tiles are very easy to reach from the bottom left and bottom right entry points. The ants will chew through the ground layer steadily and bring those orange numbers down to zero. Always let these connected groups finish their work before pulling more blocks so you never risk a board jam.
Step 3: Send peach ants to handle the light orange car highlights
With the orange ground clearing out you will uncover a peach colored connected group in your tray. This pair usually consists of a small peach block holding the number three and a larger peach block holding the number thirty nine tied together. Make sure your previous orange blocks are completely finished or ensure that you have enough empty slots left. Tap the peach group to bring them up to the active area. The peach ants will target the lighter orange and peach highlights scattered around the car body and the ground. This color is spread around the middle sections of the picture. The ants will navigate the newly opened bottom paths to reach these specific tiles. Clearing the peach tiles removes another layer of the scene and exposes the dark blue wheels along with the green grass beneath the car.
Step 4: Prepare four open slots to manage the massive connected chain
This is the most dangerous moment in the entire level. You will uncover a large chain of four connected blocks waiting in your tray. This group includes a peach block, a yellow block, a light blue block, and a dark blue block all linked tightly together. You absolutely must have four empty waiting slots before you even think about tapping this chain. Wait patiently for your current blocks to finish their work. Once your slots are clear pull the big chain. The blocks will fill almost your entire waiting area at once. Yellow ants will head straight for the bright sun tiles up in the sky area. Light blue ants will work on the remaining sky pieces. Dark blue ants will begin eating the front and rear wheels. Peach ants will clean up the last peach details on the car. Because you waited for empty slots the ants have clear open paths and the board will never dead end.
Step 5: Remove the green grass and finish off the dark blue wheels
While the massive connected chain counts down you will see green blocks become available in your tray. The green grass beneath the car is fully exposed now and ready to clear. Tap the green blocks and let the green ants march in to clear the grass layer entirely. This action completely isolates the main car body from the bottom of the picture. You will also see more dark blue blocks sitting in the tray. Pull them up to send dark blue ants after the remaining sections of the wheel tiles. The wheels take a lot of hits to clear so keep feeding the dark blue blocks until the tires vanish completely. Just remember to keep a strict count of your waiting slots. Never pull a green or dark blue block unless you know the ants can reach that specific color right away.
Step 6: Dismantle the solid pink car body with connected pink blocks
With the grass and wheels completely gone the main pink body of the car stands alone in the center of the board. Your tray will reveal pink connected blocks such as a block holding the number five and another pink block holding eleven linked together. Ensure you have two open slots and pull them up into the active area. The pink ants will rush the center of the board and rapidly take apart the vehicle structure. The paths are wide open at this stage so the ants travel very fast from the bottom edges straight to the pink tiles. The overall shape of the car will shrink quickly as the pink blocks count down to zero. Let the pink blocks clear out completely to free up your waiting slots for the final sequence. You want a totally empty slot area for the last major move.
Step 7: Execute the final large clear to remove the remaining clouds
You are now left with just a few white clouds and some scattered orange details. Your tray will present one final test of your slot management. You will see another large group of four connected blocks sitting at the bottom. This final chain contains several light blue blocks and an orange block tied together. Check your active area and verify that you have four empty waiting slots ready to go. Tap the chain and watch it fill up your tray slots. The light blue ants will swarm the final white and blue cloud pieces floating in the sky area. The orange ants will grab the last remaining orange structural tiles near the center. Since the board is mostly empty the ants will finish this job in mere seconds. The final tiles will pop off the screen and you will clear the board.
Final Thought
This level teaches you exactly how to handle massive connected groups without panicking. The trick is simply holding back and letting the board breathe before you tap a huge chain of blocks. If you pull them too early you will jam your slots and fail the attempt. Take your time and count your open spaces constantly.
