Welcome to Colony Flow Level 98. This stage presents a beautiful outdoor landscape picture that you need to break down pixel by pixel to win. I played through this exact board and will show you the exact moves to clear the tiles without jamming your tray. You just need to manage your tray space carefully to keep the ants moving continuously. The key is pulling the correct colors in the right order so your colony never stops marching.
Colony Flow Level 98 Overview
What You Are Working With
The picture at the top of your screen is a colorful outdoor scene. You will see a tall red and yellow pagoda building dominating the right side of the board. Dark blue mountains sit on the left side of the picture. Bright green grass forms the ground below the mountains and the building base. A large expanse of light blue sky and fluffy white clouds fills the background behind the structures. At the bottom center of the picture sits a brown Hungry Door. You must clear the required colored tiles around it to open the door and access the final tiles. Down in your tray you have multiple colors of numbered blocks. Some of these blocks are connected boxes. The connected boxes are linked together by a thick line and must move up to the waiting slots as a pair.
What It Takes to Clear Level 98 Board
Winning this level requires a steady rhythm of clearing the outer edges before you tackle the dense center. You start by sending ants to the exposed sky and outer grass tiles on the far left and right edges. This creates open paths for the ants to reach the inner layers of the pagoda and the dark blue mountains. You must manage your five waiting slots perfectly. If you pull too many blocks that have no clear path to the picture your slots will fill up. When all five slots are full and no ants can move you lose the level instantly. Every single move you make must guarantee an open path for your ant colony. Once you break through the outer colors and open the Hungry Door the center collapses quickly. You win the level when the picture is completely empty and your tray has zero blocks left.
Colony Flow Level 98 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Start by clearing the outer sky and left side grass
You want to get your ants moving immediately to establish good paths on the left and right edges. Look at your tray and pull the light green block showing the number 45. Next pull the light blue block. The ants will stream out of the nest hole and split up across the board. One group marches to the bottom left to eat the bright green grass tiles. The other group heads up the right side to start devouring the light blue sky next to the red pagoda. The numbers on your blocks will count down as the ants consume the matching colored pixels. You keep your waiting slots mostly empty because both of these colors have immediate access to the picture. This is exactly how you want to start without risking a dead end.
Step 2: Chip away at the pagoda roof and dark blue mountains
With the outer edges pushed back you can start working on the main structures in the picture. Pull the red block holding the number 25 and the dark blue block holding the number 35. You have an open route on both sides of the board now. The ants will travel up the right edge to eat the top layers of the red pagoda roof. On the left side the ants will reach the outer edge of the dark blue mountain peak. The red block will count down and vanish completely. The dark blue block will shrink as the ants eat a large chunk of the mountain top. Your waiting slots remain clear because the ants never stop moving toward their targets. You always want to verify that a specific color is exposed on the board before you pull its block from the tray.
Step 3: Handle the first set of connected boxes to clear the clouds
Now you will face your first pair of connected boxes in the tray. You will see a red block with the number 30 linked to a white block with the number 34. Pull this linked pair up into your waiting slots. Because you already cleared the top of the pagoda the red ants have a direct path to the middle roof sections. The white ants will travel up the left side to eat the white clouds floating above the dark blue mountain. Managing connected boxes is easy as long as both colors are available on the board simultaneously. The red and white blocks will drain at the same time. This clears a massive amount of the upper board and opens up the deeper layers of the picture. Your ants are flowing smoothly and your slots are completely safe from jamming.
Step 4: Continue clearing the sky with the second linked pair
Your next move involves another set of connected boxes from your tray. Pull the light blue block numbered 34 that is linked to the white block numbered 36. You still have plenty of light blue sky on the left side of the board waiting to be eaten. The lower white clouds are also fully exposed now. The ants will rush up the left path and consume both colors rapidly. The light blue block will completely disappear and the white block will finish off the remaining cloud tiles. The entire top left quadrant of the picture is now empty space. This gives your ants a massive open highway to reach the center of the board. You are keeping the flow active and avoiding any traffic jams in your waiting slots.
Step 5: Process the third set of connected boxes for the grass
Your next challenge is another pair of linked blocks sitting in your tray. You need to pull the light green block showing the number 40 that is permanently connected to the light blue block numbered 34. By this point in the level you have exposed plenty of bright green grass near the bottom middle of the picture. You also have large sections of light blue sky open near the center right area. The ants will split up into two distinct groups upon leaving the nest hole. The green ants will munch away at the grass floor. The light blue ants will travel up the right edge to finish a massive chunk of the remaining sky. Both numbers on the connected boxes will drain down to zero smoothly. You avoid filling up your waiting slots by ensuring both colors always have a clear destination.
Step 6: Open the Hungry Door to access the center
The brown Hungry Door at the bottom center is your next major target. To open the Hungry Door you must clear the required colors directly touching it. Pull the yellow blocks and the remaining red blocks from your tray into the waiting slots. The yellow blocks numbered 17 and 20 will send ants to eat the base of the pagoda. The red ants will finish the lower roof pieces that surround the door. As the ants consume these tiles the requirements for the Hungry Door are fully met. The door will vanish and open a brand new path directly up the middle of the board. This is a critical moment for your success. Opening the door prevents your ants from taking long detours around the far edges of the screen.
Step 7: Wipe out the remaining dark blue mountain mass
Now that the center is completely open you can clear the heaviest remaining colors on the board. Pull the dark blue block showing the number 28. The ants will march straight up the newly opened center path. They will flood the remaining dark blue mountain tiles from the inside out. The block number will rapidly drop to zero as the colony swarms the tiles. The entire left side of the picture is now completely clear of any pixels. The picture has shrunk down to just a few floating pieces of the pagoda base and some small patches of sky. Your waiting slots are completely empty. You have total control of the board. The ants have very short travel times now so the blocks will clear extremely fast.
Step 8: Finish the pagoda details and the final sky sections
You are on the final stretch of the level and victory is very close. Pull the yellow block showing the number 9 to clean up the last few decorative pieces on the pagoda base. Then pull the final pair of connected boxes featuring a red block and a light blue block. The red ants will eat the very last red pixel of the building structure. The light blue ants will consume the small remaining patch of sky floating on the right side. The blocks in your tray will vanish one by one. Watch the last few ants carry the final pixels back to the nest hole. The board is now completely empty and you have won the level without ever causing a dead end.
Final Thought
This stage demands good planning with your connected boxes and a clear focus on unlocking the Hungry Door. Keep your outer edges open early and you will never trap your ants in the waiting slots. If any of the specific block pulls feel confusing please watch the video above this article to see the exact timing in action.
