Welcome back to another puzzle guide. Today we tackle Colony Flow Level 532 and its colorful pixel art goldfish. This board looks straightforward at first glance but the massive sections of solid color require careful planning. I play every level of this game myself and I know how easily a tray can jam if you pull the wrong blocks too early. I will show you exactly how to navigate this board and keep your ants moving without getting stuck.
Colony Flow Level 532 Overview
What You Are Working With
The board displays a large pixel art goldfish floating on a solid light blue background. The fish itself features a bright red and dark red body with large pink and white fins. A small yellow patch sits on the face near a black eye. Down in your tray you have blocks matching all these colors. The numbers on these blocks are very high. You will see several pink and cyan blocks with numbers in the thirties and forties. This indicates that you have massive chunks of solid color to clear. This level also features two special tile mechanics. First you will encounter connected boxes. These are pairs of dark red and pink blocks or dark red and red blocks linked by a physical line in the tray. Second you will see a lock and key system. A bright yellow lock sits on top of a cyan block in the tray. You have to uncover and eat a specific yellow key on the board to remove that lock.
What It Takes to Clear Level 532 Board
You complete the board when every single pixel tile is eaten and the last ant returns to the nest hole. You lose the level if you fill all five waiting slots at the bottom of the screen with blocks that have no open paths to their matching colors. Your primary goal is to carve wide open paths into the picture so you always have exposed colors to match your tray blocks. You must balance clearing the outer blue background with hollowing out the inner red fish body to ensure your waiting slots never jam.
Colony Flow Level 532 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Open the bottom edge of the fish
You begin the level by pulling the initial pink and white blocks from the very top layer of your tray. The bottom edges of the lower fin and the tail are completely exposed to the open board. The pink block sends a stream of ants to start eating the lower tips of the tail fin and the bottom fin. The white block targets the white underbelly of the fish directly above the nest hole. These lower edges give your ants immediate access to a large number of pixels. This is a very safe opening move. The exposed edge provides plenty of pink and white food tiles to drain those large block numbers steadily. Your waiting slots remain clear as the numbers tick down to zero because the ants never run out of open targets.
Step 2: Carve deeper into the lower tail and belly sections
With the bottom edge gone you expose the dark red shading along the lower body and even more of the white belly. Pull the dark red block and the next white block into your active slots. You will also notice a black block with a low number in the tray. The black pixels form the eye of the fish and some dark shading near the face area. Pulling the black block at this stage is a great tactical choice. Because the number is low the black ants clear their targets very quickly. This frees up a waiting slot almost immediately. You should also watch the connected pink and dark red boxes in your tray. You want to pull those linked blocks only when you have a wide open path to both colors simultaneously. Wait until the first wave of pink and white ants finishes their current work before you commit to the connected boxes. This patience prevents a traffic jam in your limited waiting slots.
Step 3: Attack the left blue background
The light blue background covers a huge portion of the board and wraps all the way around the fish. You need to start clearing this background early so it does not trap your progress later. Pull a cyan block to send ants to the bottom left corner of the background. The cyan ants will march up the left side of the picture and steadily eat away the blue pixels. This action opens up the left boundary of the fish face. By clearing the background on the left side you expose entirely new angles for your ants to reach the inner orange and red body parts. You must keep the cyan background clearing constantly active alongside the fish clearing. Balancing the background removal with the fish removal keeps your tray flowing smoothly.
Step 4: Focus on the main red body
The core of the goldfish consists of solid red and dark red pixels. Now that the lower belly and the left background are clear you have direct access to this massive central section. Pull the red and dark red blocks into your waiting slots. A huge swarm of red ants will rush from the nest hole right into the center of the picture. This step drains very high numbers from your tray rapidly. You will watch blocks with high numbers vanish in a matter of seconds. Let the red ants completely hollow out the middle of the fish. This creates a large empty cavity in the center of the board. An empty center makes it much easier for your ants to reach the top fin later without traveling around the outside edges.
Step 5: Deploy the connected red and dark red boxes
Your tray contains a pair of connected dark red and red blocks. Because you hollowed out the center of the fish in the previous step you now have a massive amount of exposed red and dark red pixels. Pull these connected boxes into your waiting slots right now. The game requires both colors in a connected pair to have an active path to clear properly. Since the entire middle of the fish is completely exposed the ants pour out and eat the remaining upper body and tail sections without any delay. Managing connected boxes always comes down to timing. If you pulled them too early they would sit in your slots and block other moves. Pulling them now allows them to clear smoothly and leaves the tray open for your final push.
Step 6: Clear the yellow face and unlock the cyan block
The front of the fish face has a small patch of yellow pixels. You need to clear these specific pixels to grab the yellow key. Pull the yellow block from your tray into an open slot. Yellow ants run directly up to the face and eat those tiles. Grabbing the yellow key instantly removes the bright yellow lock from the cyan block sitting in your tray. This represents a critical moment for the level. If you leave the locked cyan block in the tray for too long you will run out of playable moves and fail. Once the lock vanishes you are free to use that newly unlocked cyan block. Use the next pink block to clear the lower half of the top fin while the yellow ants finish up the face.
Step 7: Sweep the remaining cyan background on the right and top
The right side and the top edge of the board are still heavily covered in light blue background tiles. Pull the large cyan blocks you just unlocked into your active slots. The cyan ants will swarm up the right side of the screen and across the top border. Because you already cleared the main body of the fish the ants have a very short direct travel distance through the empty center to reach the top and right sides of the board. This short travel distance makes the clearing process much faster than before. Keep feeding cyan blocks into the waiting slots until the entire blue background is completely wiped away.
Step 8: Finish the top fin and complete the board
The only pixels remaining on the board are a few dark red and white spots located on the very top edge of the upper fin. Pull the final white and dark red blocks from the bottom row of your tray. The ants run straight up through the empty space where the fish body used to be and eat the final remaining tiles. The board is now completely clear of all colors. The last few ants march back to the nest hole and the level ends in a satisfying victory. You managed the large numbers perfectly and kept your slots open from start to finish.
Final Thought
Colony Flow Level 532 requires a steady balance between clearing the large background and hollowing out the detailed fish. If you take your time and follow the order of colors above you will easily keep your waiting slots open.
