Welcome to Colony Flow Level 536. This level presents a fun pixel art picture but it demands careful tray management and patience. You have a huge background to clear and a character with lots of small colorful details scattered across the board. The main challenge is making sure your ants always have a valid target so your waiting slots do not fill up with useless blocks. I played through this level and figured out the exact sequence to keep the board moving smoothly. Grab your blocks and get ready to clear this picture completely.

Colony Flow Level 536 Overview

What You Are Working With

The pixel art picture on this level looks like a pirate character. The pirate has a dark red bandana with bright pink highlights and a light beige skin tone face. You will also see a black eyepatch along with a white shirt and a light blue vest. The character wears brown boots and stands on a dark brown wooden base. Surrounding the entire pirate is a massive wall of orange background tiles decorated with tiny yellow stars. Near the bottom of the picture you will notice a solid yellow horizontal line. On the board itself you will find a bright green key resting right next to the pirate hand. Down in your tray you have a wide variety of numbered colored blocks. You also have a green lock block sitting in the tray. This green lock physically blocks you from reaching the orange blocks trapped underneath it. You must collect the green key on the board to remove the green lock in the tray.

What It Takes to Clear Level 536 Board

To beat this level you must completely clear every single colored tile from the picture. You achieve this by tapping the numbered blocks in your tray to send swarms of ants up to the board. The ants will only eat tiles that exactly match their color. You have five waiting slots at the bottom of your screen where active blocks sit while the ants do their work. You lose the level if all five waiting slots fill up with blocks and none of the ants can reach their matching tiles. Every move you make must keep at least one path open so your ants can continuously clear the board without dead ending. You have to clear the outer layers first to expose the inner details.

Colony Flow Level 536 Step by Step Solution

Step 1: Open the bottom space by clearing the yellow line and starting the background.

When you begin the level you face a solid wall of tiles and you need to break through the bottom quickly. Tap the 40 yellow block first. This sends a massive swarm of yellow ants to start clearing the long yellow line sitting near the bottom of the picture. Getting this yellow line out of the way creates a wide opening for other colors to pass through and reach the center. Underneath that yellow block you will find a 38 orange block. Tap it right away to send orange ants up into the huge orange background. You also need to tap the 35 orange block sitting next to it in the tray. The orange background is huge and requires multiple blocks working at the same time to clear it efficiently. Once the first orange block finishes its job you should tap the 35 black block. These black ants will march straight up through the gap you created and start eating away the thick dark base at the very bottom. They will also clear the black outlines surrounding the lower half of the character. As they eat you will see the yellow block count down to 19 and the black block drop to 13 while they actively clear the board. This keeps your slots flowing perfectly.

Step 2: Access the pirate face and the dark red bandana.

Your slots are busy but you have to keep the momentum going as the bottom clears out. Look at your tray and find the next 35 orange block. Tap it to keep a steady stream of orange ants chewing through the background. Underneath that orange block you will expose a 41 skin tone block. Tap this block to send a large group of ants directly to the pirate face and hands. The skin tone block has a high number because the character has a lot of beige tiles making up the face structure. While those ants are busy clearing the face you should tap the 22 dark red block. This move sends a fresh group of ants to start clearing the dark red sections of the pirate bandana. You have several active blocks in your slots right now but none of them will jam. They all have plenty of open paths to their matching tiles because you opened the bottom of the board so well. You will watch the skin tone block count down to 27 and the dark red block drop to 9 as the ants swarm the face and bandana. The character is completely exposed at this stage.

Step 3: Collect the green key on the board to unlock the tray.

This step focuses entirely on tray management and unlocking your trapped blocks. As you watch the ants work you will notice a bright green key resting near the hand of the pirate. You do not need a special key block to collect it. The ants clearing the adjacent tiles will naturally grab the key for you as they eat their way through the character. Once your skin tone ants and dark red ants clear enough of the face and bandana they will reach the green key. The moment an ant touches it the key flies off the board and unlocks the green lock block sitting right in the middle of your tray. You absolutely need this to happen because the lock blocks your access to a crucial orange block underneath it. You cannot finish the orange background without that trapped block. Keep your active blocks flowing and simply wait for the ants to collect the green key on their own.

Step 4: Clear the pirate clothing and the pink bandana details.

With the green lock gone your tray is completely open and you can focus on the pirate clothing. Tap the 14 light blue block to send ants to clear the blue vest on the character. Then tap the 16 white block to clear the white shirt underneath the vest. These clothing sections are relatively small so the blocks will finish quickly and free up space in your waiting slots. Next you will see a 22 pink block available in your tray. Tap it to send ants up to clear the bright pink highlights scattered across the dark red bandana. The character is starting to disappear piece by piece and your board is getting very clean. Make sure you also tap the 35 orange block that was hidden under the green lock. You will see the light blue block count down rapidly to 5 as the vest disappears and the pink block drop down to 15 as the highlights vanish. The orange background is shrinking rapidly but it still has a long way to go especially near the top edges.

Step 5: Finish the small details and the final orange background corners.

screenshot

You are very close to the end but you have some small scattered details left to handle. Tap the 12 yellow block to send ants after the little yellow stars sparkling in the upper sections of the orange background. When that yellow block moves out of the tray it reveals a small 5 black block. Tap the black block to clear the pirate eyepatch and the little black belt buckle. Next tap the 20 brown block to clear the brown boots and the remaining brown tiles on the wooden base. Finally you just need to clear out the top corners of the orange background. Tap the remaining 35 orange blocks in your tray. The orange ants will swarm up the sides and eat the last few orange tiles trapped in the top corners. You will watch the brown block count down to 2 and the orange blocks drop to 25 and 21 right before the final tiles vanish. Your waiting slots will easily hold these final blocks while the ants finish the job and clear the board completely.

Final Thought

You have successfully guided your ants through a massive background and cleared every intricate detail of the pirate. Managing your tray and unlocking that green lock at the exact right moment makes all the difference on this board. Always remember to clear a path before you pull a new block so your waiting slots never dead end. If you find any of these steps hard to follow in text I highly encourage you to watch the video above this article. Seeing the ants move in real time will help you master the timing and beat the level with ease.
