Welcome to Colony Flow Level 96. This stage presents a beautiful pixel art lighthouse scene that you need to completely devour. You will face a massive yellow door right in the center blocking the main tower. I will show you exactly how to dismantle this board piece by piece without jamming your tray. Every move matters when you have a giant obstacle demanding your attention.
Colony Flow Level 96 Overview
What You Are Working With
The picture shows a bright red lighthouse standing on a light blue water base. Behind the main tower sits a dark blue night sky with scattered white clouds and a round yellow sun on the left side. Right in the middle of the red tower is a massive yellow Hungry Door. This door proudly displays the number 50. You will need to send a massive swarm of yellow ants to break it open before you can clear the tiles underneath. Your tray offers numbered blocks in red, dark blue, light blue, white, and yellow. The ants must travel out of the bottom nest hole and walk around the picture frame to reach the exposed outer tiles. The board is dense and the available walking paths are strictly limited at the very beginning.
What It Takes to Clear Level 96 Board
You win this stage by completely removing every single colored pixel tile from the screen. The tricky part is managing the yellow Hungry Door while keeping your five waiting slots open. If you pull blocks that cannot reach their target you will fill the five slots and lose the level instantly. You must clear the outer dark blue sky and the light blue water layers first. This creates a wide open path for your yellow ants to reach the central door. You have to balance pulling dark blue and light blue blocks for the outside with red and white blocks for the middle layers. Eventually you will unleash the yellow ants to break the 50 count door and clean up the remaining red tower pieces.
Colony Flow Level 96 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Clear the outer edges of the sky and water first.
Start your run by pulling a large dark blue block from the tray to target the night sky. The block holds 35 ants and they will march straight out of the bottom hole. They stream up the left side of the frame to eat the dark blue tiles along the outer boundary. You want to follow this right away with a light blue block holding 37 ants to start clearing the water at the bottom of the picture. The light blue ants create a massive horizontal line across the bottom edge of the screen. Pull another dark blue block to keep the sky clearing on the right side of the lighthouse. This initial combination of moves peels back the outer protective layer of the picture. By removing these edge tiles you expose the inner white clouds and the red base of the lighthouse. Your five waiting slots remain perfectly safe because the ants have completely open travel routes around the perimeter.
Step 2: Push into the white clouds and the red lighthouse base.
Now that the outer boundary is gone you can start pulling different colors from your tray. Send out a red block holding 25 ants to attack the bottom layer of the lighthouse. The red ants will easily reach the exposed base and start chewing through the thick red section just above the water line. Next you should pull a white block with 35 ants to target the fluffy clouds hanging in the sky. The white ants travel up the sides and begin dissolving the cloud shapes surrounding the main tower. You need to keep a close eye on the remaining dark blue sky tiles as well. Bring up another dark blue block with 40 ants and let them finish off the upper corners of the night sky. Pulling a careful mix of red and white blocks here keeps the colony moving smoothly. You are steadily shrinking the picture toward the center without ever clogging your waiting tray. The paths remain wide open for the next phase.
Step 3: Unleash the first wave of yellow ants to strike the Hungry Door.
The board is now open enough to reveal the giant yellow Hungry Door in the middle of the lighthouse. This door demands 50 yellow ants before it will shatter and disappear. You also have a yellow sun sitting in the upper left section of the sky waiting to be eaten. Pull your first large yellow block holding 33 ants to start feeding both of these targets. The yellow colony splits up beautifully as they leave the nest. One group marches up to the top left to eat the sun while a massive second group charges straight into the center to attack the door. You will see the big 50 count start to drop rapidly as the ants collide with the yellow border. Do not pull too many yellow blocks at once or you risk filling your slots with ants that have nowhere to go. Just let the first wave do their work and reduce the door count into the low thirties.
Step 4: Balance the board by clearing the remaining white clouds and red tower sections.
While the yellow ants are busy with the central door you must keep the rest of the board active. Pull another white block with 40 ants to clear out the last big pieces of the clouds on the left and right sides. You also need to keep chipping away at the red tower to make more room. Grab a red block holding 32 ants from the tray and watch the red ants swarm the upper balcony and the lower walls of the lighthouse. At this point the picture looks like a scattered mess of floating red and white pieces. This scattered look is exactly what you want to see. By spreading out the colors you guarantee that no single path becomes a dead end for your colony. Every block you pull finds a valid target immediately upon leaving the tray. Your waiting slots stay totally empty and your colony keeps a rapid and productive pace.
Step 5: Send a second wave of yellow ants to completely destroy the Hungry Door.
The yellow door is getting weak but it still needs more ants to break open completely. Pull another heavy yellow block from the tray. You will see options like a 27 or a 30 count block waiting for you. The yellow sun is mostly gone by now so almost all the new yellow ants will focus entirely on the central door. Watch the count drop from the twenties down to 17 and then into the single digits. Pull one more small yellow block if you need to push the count all the way to zero. Once the fiftieth yellow ant hits the target the entire door dissolves into nothing. This is a massive relief for your tray management. The center of the board is now a gaping hole and the lighthouse is split into two distinct halves. You no longer have to worry about the door blocking the inner red tiles.
Step 6: Clean up the scattered red pieces of the upper and lower lighthouse.
With the door out of the way you can focus entirely on the leftover red building tiles. Pull a red block with 28 ants and let them flood into the newly opened center gap. They will devour the red tiles from the inside out now that the obstruction is gone. You have a few stray light blue water tiles left at the bottom so grab a light blue block to handle those pieces. The ants easily walk right up the middle and grab everything they need without any traffic jams. Always make sure a color actually has a clear route before you tap the block. The red blocks will do the heavy lifting here as the tower makes up the bulk of the remaining picture. Keep feeding red blocks into the slots until the top roof and the bottom foundation vanish completely.
Step 7: Finish the final remaining tiles to win the level.
You are down to the very last few pixels on the screen. There are usually a couple of stray dark blue sky tiles hiding near the edges and maybe one small piece of the yellow sun. Look at the board carefully and identify the exact colors left before you make a move. Pull the matching blocks from your tray one by one. Do not rush and spam the tray or you will cause a careless last minute traffic jam. Send out the final dark blue ants to eat the top corner. Send out the final yellow ants to clear the sun completely. When the very last ant carries the final pixel off the screen you trigger the victory animation. The board is fully clear and you safely beat the stage.
Final Thought
This level requires careful attention to pathing and proper management of that massive central door. Take your time and always verify that your ants have an open route before pulling a block. I strongly encourage you to watch the video above this article if any step is hard to follow in text. The visual guide will help you master the exact timing needed to keep your slots empty and your colony moving.
