Colony Flow Level 61 presents a massive pixel art television set that you need to completely devour. The board features a bright yellow background wrapping around a thick red television casing with a light blue screen. Two massive brown chocolate blocks cover the screen and you have to break through the outer layers to destroy them. You need a solid plan to manage your tray and keep your ants moving without jamming up your limited space.
Colony Flow Level 61 Overview
What You Are Working With
You start with a beautiful retro television design filling the center of the board. The bright yellow background tiles surround the television on all four sides and create a thick border. The red television casing forms a large rectangle with dark purple tiles acting as the outer outline and the bottom legs. The light blue screen sits dead center inside the red casing. The most obvious obstacles on this board are the two huge chocolate blocks resting squarely on the light blue tiles. The number one hundred is stamped clearly on both chocolate blocks. This means your ants must physically bump into the chocolate one hundred times before it breaks and disappears. Your tray at the bottom of the screen contains stacked numbered blocks of Red, Light Blue, Dark Purple, and Yellow. The numbers on these blocks tell you exactly how many ants they will send out onto the board. You will see blocks like a Yellow 24 or a Light Blue 25 waiting for you to pull them.
What It Takes to Clear Level 61 Board
You win the level when your ants eat every single colored tile on the board and clear the picture entirely. The ants stream out of the dark circular nest hole at the bottom center of the screen. They must have a completely open path to reach their matching color tiles. The core challenge of Colony Flow revolves entirely around your five empty waiting slots at the bottom. When you pull a numbered colored block from the tray it goes directly into one of these five slots. The ants will then run out and eat the matching tiles on the board. If a block cannot find a valid open path to its matching color it will just sit in the waiting slot and jam that space permanently. If you fill all five waiting slots with blocked colors you will lose the level immediately and have to restart. Every move you make must focus on keeping at least one path open so your slots never jam. You have to work strategically from the outside in.
Colony Flow Level 61 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Start with yellow blocks to clear the outer background tiles.
The very first thing you need to do is open up some breathing room around the television. The yellow background tiles are completely exposed on the outside edges of the board. This makes them the perfect safe target for your first moves. Pull a Yellow 24 block from your tray to get things started. The yellow ants will pour out of the nest hole and immediately split left and right to start chewing on the bottom yellow corners. They will begin traveling up the left and right sides of the board to eat the thick yellow border. Pulling yellow blocks early ensures your waiting slots stay entirely free. The yellow ants have plenty of surface area to attack so they will process their numbers very quickly and empty out of your slots. This opening move clears away the outer layer and gives you a much better view of the television outline.
Step 2: Deploy red blocks to open the bottom television casing.
With the yellow border receding the bottom of the red television casing becomes fully accessible to your ants. Now you need to breach the outer shell of the television itself. Pull a Red 18 block and a Red 16 block into your waiting slots. The red ants will stream out and chew straight through the bottom red border of the television casing. This move is absolutely required because the chocolate blocks are completely shielded by this red casing wall. The ants cannot jump over walls to reach the center of the board. You must punch a physical hole through the bottom red tiles to let your ants reach the interior screen area. Keep a close eye on your tray and pull another Red block if you need to widen the gap. You want a wide opening so your future ants do not get stuck behind a narrow choke point.
Step 3: Focus red and dark purple ants to destroy the chocolate.
The chocolate blocks start with a massive one hundred points each and they block everything underneath them. As the red ants finish the bottom casing they will physically bump into the chocolate and start chipping away at that massive health pool. You will see the numbers drop from one hundred down into the seventies and then steadily down into the twenties. Keep the pressure on by pulling Dark Purple blocks like a Dark Purple 20 or a Dark Purple 22 from your tray. The dark purple ants will march up to eat the television legs and the lower outline. As they eat adjacent tiles they will also bump the chocolate and help reduce its health even faster. You must manage your tray carefully during this long breakdown process. Never pull a Light Blue block during this phase. The chocolate covers the screen completely and any Light Blue block you pull right now will permanently jam one of your five precious slots. Just keep feeding the board with Red and Dark Purple blocks until the chocolate gives way.
Step 4: Send light blue ants into the screen once the chocolate breaks.
The combined efforts of the red and dark purple ants will eventually shatter the chocolate completely. The heavy brown blocks will vanish from the board and reveal the bright light blue screen underneath. Now you finally have a clear path to the largest single color group on the board. Pull a Light Blue 18 block and a Light Blue 25 block from your tray. The light blue ants will pour out of the nest hole and run straight through the large gap in the bottom red casing to flood the screen. They will rapidly clear out the center of the television pixel by pixel. This creates a massive empty space in the middle of the board and gives your future ants a huge highway to travel on. Your waiting slots will clear out very fast because the light blue area is so expansive. You can confidently pull several Light Blue blocks in a row without any fear of jamming your tray.
Step 5: Clear the remaining side casing and dark purple outline.
The screen is mostly gone but you still have thick red borders on the left and right sides of the television. You also have the dark purple outline wrapping around those exterior red borders. Pull a Red 15 block and a Dark Purple 19 block to keep your colony moving forward. The ants will walk straight up through the empty screen area and attack the side casings from the inside out. Always check that the color you pull has exposed tiles before you tap it in the tray. The red ants have plenty of surface area on the inner walls of the television casing so they will process quickly and free up your slots. The dark purple ants will handle the outer edges simultaneously as they eat away the outline. You will notice the travel distance getting longer but your slots will remain safe as long as the path stays open.
Step 6: Tackle the upper corners with your remaining yellow blocks.
The yellow background still covers the top corners of the board and blocks the top edge of the television. You need to clear these yellow sections out before you focus entirely on the top of the casing. Pull your remaining Yellow blocks to send ants all the way up the empty sides of the board. The yellow ants will walk a very long distance along the outer edges and eat the top yellow corners. You want to clear these yellow tiles right now so they do not block access to the very top dark purple outline of the television later on. This methodical approach keeps the board shrinking evenly from all sides. It also prevents any single color from becoming trapped behind a stray wall of background tiles. Your tray will likely show several Dark Purple and Red blocks waiting for their turn while the yellow ants finish their job.
Step 7: Finish the top edge and the television antenna to win.
Only the top red casing and the dark purple antenna remain on the board at this final stage. The path from the nest hole to these final tiles is completely wide open through the center of the board. Pull your final Red and Dark Purple blocks from the tray to finish the job. The ants will take a very long walk from the bottom of the screen all the way up through the empty space where the screen used to be. They will eat the last red tiles of the casing and then dismantle the dark purple antenna piece by piece. You can pull these final blocks in any order because they both have a clear and unobstructed path to their targets. Once the final dark purple tile disappears the board is entirely clear and you successfully win the level.
Final Thought
Colony Flow Level 61 teaches you exactly how to manage your patience around heavy obstacles like chocolate blocks. The trick always comes down to resisting the urge to pull colors that are temporarily trapped beneath other colors. If you follow the path and break the outer television casing first you will never jam your waiting slots. I encourage you to watch the video above this article if any step feels hard to follow in text. Seeing the ants breach the bottom of the television and swarm the chocolate makes the entire strategy incredibly easy to understand and replicate on your own device.
