Colony Flow Level 1124 drops you into a bright and colorful pixel art puzzle featuring a large smiling sunflower. You face a board filled with light blue sky tiles, white clouds, green grass, and the complex yellow and orange petals of the flower. I play every level of this game and verify the exact moves required to win without locking up your tray. You will need to carefully manage your waiting slots and peel this image apart layer by layer from the outside edges inward.
Colony Flow Level 1124 Overview
What You Are Working With
The board displays a large pixel art sunflower in the center. The top half of the background is made of light blue sky tiles and patches of white and cyan clouds. The bottom half contains dark green grass and large green leaves connected to the flower stem. The flower itself has an outer ring of yellow petals and an inner ring of orange petals. The center of the sunflower features a smiling face made of dark brown and black tiles. Your tray at the bottom holds a mix of single numbered blocks and connected boxes. You will see large numbers on the light blue blocks because the sky covers a massive portion of the board. You will also encounter connected boxes later in the level including a cyan block linked to a green block and an orange block linked to a dark block.
What It Takes to Clear Level 1124 Board
You clear the board by matching colored blocks from your tray to the corresponding colored tiles on the board. The ants stream out of the nest hole at the bottom center and follow open paths to eat the tiles. Your biggest threat is filling up your five waiting slots. If you pull a block from the tray and the ants have no valid path to reach that specific color on the board the block sits in your waiting slot. If all five slots fill up and the ants stop moving you lose the level instantly. You must always maintain an open path and only pull colors that the ants can reach right now. You win when every single pixel art tile is gone and the board is completely empty.
Colony Flow Level 1124 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Clear the outer edges of the sky and the bottom grass to create initial paths.
You start the level with a crowded board where only the extreme outer edges are accessible to your ants. Pull a light blue block and a dark green block from the tray. The ants split their attention immediately. A large group of ants marches straight down to eat the dark green grass tiles along the very bottom edge of the image. Another group travels all the way up the left and right borders to start chewing away at the light blue sky. These two colors have completely open paths right from the start. Keeping the ants working on opposite ends of the board keeps the flow moving fast and keeps your waiting slots entirely empty.
Step 2: Push deeper into the light blue sky to expose the clouds.
The initial light blue block will not clear all the sky tiles because the sky covers so much area. Pull another light blue block from the tray. The number on the block counts down rapidly as the ants swarm the top corners of the board. Removing these sky tiles reveals the edges of the white and cyan clouds underneath. Do not pull any yellow or orange blocks at this stage. The yellow sunflower petals are entirely blocked by the clouds and the remaining sky. If you pull a yellow block right now it will drop into your waiting slot and become a dead weight.
Step 3: Remove the cyan clouds to uncover the top of the sunflower.
With the outer sky pulled back you now have a direct route to the cyan cloud tiles. Pull a cyan block from the tray. The ants travel up the sides of the board and cut inward to eat the clouds. This move is critical because the clouds form a barrier resting directly on top of the yellow petals. Clearing the cyan tiles breaks this barrier completely. Watch the ants clear the left and right cloud patches until the top half of the sunflower is totally exposed. Your waiting slots remain perfectly clear because you waited for the path to open before pulling the cyan color.
Step 4: Trim the outer yellow petals of the sunflower.
Now that the sky and clouds no longer block your way you can finally target the sunflower itself. Pull a yellow block from your tray. The ants rush to the outer edges of the flower and begin consuming the yellow petals. The flower is quite large so you will need to pull a second yellow block to keep the ants working. The yellow tiles form a protective shell around the inner orange petals. You must clear a large portion of this yellow shell before you can advance deeper into the flower. Always let the yellow numbers count down near zero before planning your next color.
Step 5: Handle the first set of connected boxes to clear remaining grass.
You will see a connected box in your tray featuring a cyan block linked to a green block. Connected boxes clear as a single unit but they require paths for both colors in sequence. Pull this connected unit. The ants immediately take the cyan power and clear the remaining cyan cloud pieces scattered near the top of the flower. Once the cyan number depletes the linked green block activates automatically. The ants instantly shift their focus back down to the bottom of the board and consume the lighter green grass tiles and leaves. Handling connected boxes correctly prevents them from jamming up your slots.
Step 6: Attack the inner orange ring of the sunflower petals.
The yellow outer petals are mostly gone and the orange inner petals are now fully accessible. Pull an orange block from the tray. The ants march straight to the center of the board and begin eating the orange ring that frames the sunflower face. You also have remaining light blue tiles in the very top corners of the board. You can safely pull another light blue block right now alongside the orange block. The ants will divide their labor perfectly. One squad strips the orange petals while the other squad finishes off the top corners of the sky.
Step 7: Clear the face using the orange and dark connected boxes.
The only part of the flower left is the smiling face in the very center. Look at your tray and locate the connected box featuring an orange block linked to a dark brown block. Pull this specific unit into your active slots. The ants use the orange portion to eat the final few orange petal pieces. Once the orange is gone the dark block activates. The ants flood the very center of the board and devour the dark brown and black tiles that make up the eyes and the smile. This completely destroys the central structure of the sunflower.
Step 8: Sweep up the final scattered cloud patches.
The board is now mostly empty but a few scattered clumps of white and cyan clouds remain floating in the open space. Pull a cyan block and a white block from the tray. Because the giant sunflower is gone the ants have incredibly short and direct paths to reach these leftover tiles. They spread out across the empty board and quickly gobble up the isolated cloud pieces. Your slots will process these blocks extremely fast.
Step 9: Consume the final pieces of sky to finish the board.
Only a thin border of light blue sky remains clinging to the top edge of the board. Pull your final light blue blocks from the tray. The ants make one last long trip to the top boundary and consume every remaining tile. Once the final blue pixel disappears the ants retreat into the nest hole. Your waiting slots are completely empty and the board is totally clear. You win the level by successfully managing your sequence of moves and never creating a dead end.
Final Thought
You conquer this level by trusting the sequence and working from the outside edges inward. Patience is your best tool when waiting for the cloud layers to recede before you touch the flower petals. If you find any of these block sequences difficult to visualize in text I highly recommend you watch the video above this article. The video shows exactly how the ants path around the board and how the connected boxes behave in real time.
