Colony Flow Level 476 gives you a massive pixel art picture to clear and forces you to manage a very deep tray of blocks. You must break into a large complex shape while carving away a huge background. The sheer number of tiles on the board means you have to plan your ant paths carefully. If you pull the wrong colors too early, your board will jam and you will fail the level.
Colony Flow Level 476 Overview
What You Are Working With
The picture at the top of your screen is a large star shape surrounded by a massive light green background. The star itself has several distinct layers of color. The outer border is a thick dark purple outline. Inside that outline is the main star body made of dark red tiles. Inside the dark red area is a light yellow inner border. Finally, the very center of the star is bright red with two small white highlight tiles.
Your block tray at the bottom of the screen has four columns stacked deep with numbered colored blocks. You have large numbers of light green blocks to handle the background. You also have dark purple, dark red, light yellow, bright red, and white blocks buried in the stacks. The nest hole sits at the bottom center of the board. The ants have immediate open access to the bottom edges of the light green background. There are no special hidden boxes, locked doors, or chocolate mechanics in this level. It is a pure test of pathing and block management.
What It Takes to Clear Level 476 Board
To clear this board, you must work from the outside in and from the bottom up. You begin by stripping away the bottom of the light green background to expose the bottom points of the star. Once the bottom points are exposed, you breach the dark purple outline and send ants up into the dark red body. You have five waiting slots above your block tray. If you pull a color that has no open path on the board, that block gets stuck in a slot. If all five slots fill up with blocked colors, you lose immediately. You must constantly alternate between clearing the outer green background and pushing deeper into the core of the star. This keeps multiple paths open at all times so your waiting slots always empty out smoothly.
Colony Flow Level 476 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Clear the bottom corners of the background
Your first priority is to create working space at the bottom of the board. You see several large light green blocks at the top of your tray stacks. Pull a light green forty block and a light green thirty eight block into your waiting slots. The green ants will immediately stream out of the nest hole and split in two directions. They will flood the bottom left corner and the bottom right corner of the green background. Keep pulling light green blocks, including another forty block and a thirty block, to keep the ants moving. They will eat away the entire bottom edge of the background. This is the only safe move to start the level. If you pull any star colors right now, they will get stuck in your slots and cause a fast loss.
Step 2: Break the bottom dark purple outline
With the bottom green background out of the way, the lowest points of the star are fully exposed. The dark purple outline is now an open path. Look at your tray and pull a dark purple thirty nine block and a dark purple thirty eight block. Dark purple ants will rush out and attack the bottom edges of the star outline. They will quickly dissolve the thick border on both the lower left and lower right points. The waiting slots will clear out perfectly because the ants have a direct line to their target. You have now opened the gates into the main body of the shape.
Step 3: Enter the bottom dark red star points
Now that the purple outline is broken at the bottom, the dark red interior tiles are vulnerable. Pull a dark red thirty eight block and a dark red forty block from the tray. The red ants will march straight through the gaps you just created in the purple border. They will begin eating the thick dark red fill inside the two bottom star points. While they do this, you must keep shrinking the outer background to prevent future jams. Pull a light green thirty six block. The green ants will wrap around the bottom of the star and start eating the sides of the background. This dual approach keeps your slots flowing fast.
Step 4: Expose the yellow inner border
You need to reach the core of the star, and that means pushing through the rest of the bottom dark red tiles. Pull a dark red thirty five block and a dark red twenty four block. The red ants will swarm into the lower half of the star and completely wipe out the bottom red sections. This action directly exposes the bottom edge of the light yellow inner border. At the same time, pull a light green forty block to keep pushing your green ants higher up the left and right sides of the board. You are carving a clean tunnel straight up the middle while shaving down the sides.
Step 5: Breach the yellow inner star layer
The bottom of the light yellow border is completely open for attack. Pull a light yellow twenty8 block and a light yellow twenty seven block. The yellow ants will flow up through the empty space at the bottom of the board and crash into the yellow border. They will chew a massive hole through the lower half of this inner outline. This is a highly satisfying moment because you finally uncover the bright red core of the star. Make sure to pull another dark purple block if one appears, as the purple ants can now access the side sections of the outer border.
Step 6: Clear the white and bright red core
The very center of the picture is now totally unprotected. You will see two white two blocks in your tray. Pull both of them immediately. The white ants will run straight up the middle channel and eat the two small white highlight spots on the core. Next, pull the bright red twenty four block. A large swarm of bright red ants will rush in and consume the entire center shape. The middle of the board is now a giant empty crater. You have hollowed out the star from the inside.
Step 7: Attack the top half of the star from the inside
Because the core is gone, the ants can now attack the upper sections of the star from the inside out. Pull a dark red thirty five block and a dark purple forty two block. The red ants will flow all the way up through the empty center and start eating the top middle point and the top side points of the star. The purple ants will follow close behind to eat the upper outline. Pull a light yellow twenty four block so yellow ants can eat the remaining top pieces of the inner border. Your waiting slots will cycle rapidly here because the ants have multiple angles of attack.
Step 8: Clean up the top corners of the background
The main star is almost completely gone, but you still have a large chunk of light green background sitting at the top left and top right corners of the board. Pull a light green forty block and a light green nineteen block. The green ants will travel up the extreme outer edges of the board and begin sweeping across the top corners. Pull a dark red thirty one block to finish off the very tip of the top star point. Your board is looking very empty now and the end of the level is near.
Step 9: Finish the final remaining tiles
Only a handful of scattered tiles remain along the very top edge. Look at the last few blocks in your tray. Pull a light green fourteen block to clean up the last bit of the green background. Pull a dark purple seventeen block to finish the last few pieces of the top border. Finally, pull a light yellow seven block to clear the tiny remaining speck of the inner outline. The last ants will finish their meals and run off the screen. You kept your paths open, you managed your slots perfectly, and the entire picture is now clear.
Final Thought
Level 476 demands a steady rhythm of clearing the outside background while simultaneously pushing up the middle. As long as you never pull a core color before breaking the outline that protects it, your five slots will never jam. If you find yourself getting stuck on a specific wave of blocks, I highly encourage you to watch the video above this article to see the exact timing and ant paths in motion.
