I just finished playing Colony Flow Level 62 and it presents a large orange cat face surrounded by a light blue background. A massive piece of chocolate sits right over the nose and mouth area. You must chew through this obstacle before your ants can reach the main picture. I will show you exactly how to break the board down without filling your five waiting slots.

Colony Flow Level 62 Overview

What You Are Working With

The puzzle board features a large pixel art picture of a recognizable orange cat. The design includes thick black outlines, white eyes, a yellow lower face, and lots of orange pixels. A solid light blue background fills the rest of the square frame. Right in the lower middle of the cat face rests a chocolate block with a hundred count on it. This chocolate completely blocks access to the lower center tiles. Your tray at the bottom holds a mix of light blue, white, black, orange, yellow, and pink blocks. Each block carries a specific number that dictates how many ants will spawn from it. You only have five waiting slots to hold active blocks.

What It Takes to Clear Level 62 Board

Clearing this board requires dealing with the chocolate immediately. Chocolate blocks absorb any color ant. You can throw any block at it to reduce its hundred count down to zero. Once the chocolate disappears the regular colored tiles underneath become available. From there you match the colored blocks in your tray to the exposed colored tiles on the board. You win by eating every pixel tile on the screen. You lose if you pull too many blocks that have no open paths and all five waiting slots fill up completely. Every move you make must leave at least one active path open.

Colony Flow Level 62 Step by Step Solution

Step 1: Send your front tray blocks to break the massive chocolate

The round begins with that huge hundred count chocolate sitting directly above the nest hole. You cannot access the core of the picture until you destroy it. Since chocolate accepts any color you do not need to worry about color matching yet. You just need pure volume to drop the count. Pull a light blue block and a yellow block from the front of your tray into the active slots. The nest hole opens and light blue and yellow ants stream directly into the chocolate. The number on the chocolate drops rapidly. Pull a pink block next to keep the pressure on. The pink ants join the swarm and help chew the obstacle down. Managing your slots is easy here because the chocolate provides a massive open target for any ant color you send.

Step 2: Target the newly exposed mouth and nose tiles

The chocolate finally shatters and reveals the tiles beneath it. You now see a tiny pink nose, a black mouth outline, and some yellow muzzle tiles. You need to clear these out to open pathways deeper into the board. Pull a black block into your waiting slots to target the dark mouth outline. The black ants rush up and eat those exact black pixels. This action creates a nice pocket of empty space at the bottom of the picture. The empty space allows ants to spread out to the left and right sides. Keep a yellow block active to eat the yellow tiles around the mouth. Send the remaining pink ants to grab the nose tiles. You must clear these bottom central tiles quickly so your ants do not bottleneck at the entrance.

Step 3: Attack the white eyes and clear the inner outlines

With the mouth area gone your ants can reach the white eyes and the inner black lines. Pull a white block from the tray to target the eyes. The white ants stream up through the empty space and devour the large white pixel blocks. Pull another black block to handle the thick outlines separating the eyes from the orange face. The black ants follow the same path and eat the borders. Every tile you remove widens the central opening. Your ants now have plenty of room to maneuver. This open space guarantees your active blocks will always find a path to their matching colors. Your waiting slots remain safe and clear.

Step 4: Consume the heavy orange areas on the lower face

screenshot

The most dominant color in this puzzle is orange. Now that the central features are gone you have direct access to the massive orange cheeks. Pull several orange blocks from your tray to get a large swarm going. The orange ants pour out of the nest and fan out across the entire lower half of the cat face. They eat through the thick patches of orange pixels on both sides. Watch the numbers on your active orange blocks count down to zero as the ants find their targets. Keep pulling orange blocks as long as you have exposed orange tiles. The board begins to look quite empty at the bottom as the cheeks disappear entirely.

Step 5: Clear the light blue background from the lower corners

screenshot

The destruction of the orange cheeks exposes the light blue background tiles on the bottom left and bottom right corners. You need to clear these outer edges to give your ants access to the top half of the frame. Pull a light blue block into your waiting slots. The light blue ants split into two groups and march up the sides of the board. They eat the background tiles along the edges. This clears the way for future ants to travel up the sides without getting stuck in the middle. Always clear background tiles as soon as they become easily accessible. Leaving them for later can trap you if you run out of other colors to play.

Step 6: Focus on the upper forehead and black outlines

screenshot

The bottom half of the puzzle is now completely empty. Only the top half of the head and the top background remain. The forehead consists of a large block of orange pixels surrounded by a thick black outline. Pull another black block to send ants after those high outlines. Then pull an orange block to consume the forehead. The ants have a long travel time from the nest hole to the top of the board. You must be patient and let them walk. Do not panic and pull extra blocks just because the ants are moving slowly. Filling your slots while waiting for ants to travel is a common mistake. Let the current ants reach their destinations and clear their assigned colors before you crowd the board.

Step 7: Devour the black ears at the top of the head

screenshot

The orange forehead vanishes and leaves the two black ears sticking up. Pull a fresh black block from your tray to target them. The black ants march all the way up the empty screen and split off toward the left and right ears. They eat the remaining black pixels quickly. At this point your tray is getting low and the board is nearly clean. You must maintain focus on your slot management. Only pull blocks that match the very few tiles left on the screen. Pulling the wrong color now will trap a block in your waiting area forever. Ensure every block you select has a direct path to its matching color on the ears or the surrounding background.

Step 8: Clean up the final top background tiles

Only a thin strip of light blue background remains at the very top of the frame. Pull your final light blue blocks from the tray. The light blue ants surge forward and clear the remaining border. You might have one or two orange tiles left near the ears depending on how your ants routed themselves earlier. If so pull your last orange block to finish them off. The ants eat the final pixels and the board becomes completely blank. You successfully navigated the massive chocolate obstacle and managed your slots perfectly to beat the level.

Final Thought

Colony Flow Level 62 tests your ability to clear a large central obstacle right at the start. Smashing the chocolate early opens up the necessary pathways for the rest of the puzzle. Keep your ants moving outward from the center to maintain plenty of open routes. If you find any of these movements hard to follow in text I highly encourage you to watch the video above this article. Seeing the ants swarm the board makes the strategy very clear.
