Welcome to Colony Flow Level 180. You face a massive pixel art eyeball today staring directly back at you from the screen. This board requires careful pathing because a locked block threatens to jam your waiting slots early in the game. I play every single level myself and test every solution to make sure it works perfectly. Follow my exact moves and you will clear this board without any trouble.
Colony Flow Level 180 Overview
What You Are Working With
The pixel art picture shows a giant eye staring straight forward. The center iris is made of black and brown tiles. A large area of white tiles surrounds the iris to form the main eyeball. The outer skin and eyelids consist of pink red yellow and light brown tiles. You will also see a purple shadow layer at the very bottom edge of the picture. This level includes a blue key located in the top left corner of the board. Your tray at the bottom holds several single blocks and connected blocks. One of the connected pairs includes a yellow block with a lock icon right on the front. You must collect the blue key from the top left corner to open this lock.
What It Takes to Clear Level 180 Board
You win the level when you clear every single colored tile from the board. Your ants must eat the entire eyeball picture and return to the nest. You pull colored blocks from the bottom tray into your five waiting slots to send the matching ants out. If you fill all five slots and the active ants have no open path to their colors you lose the level instantly. You must manage your waiting slots carefully to avoid a dead end. Your main goal early in this match is to carve a path up the left side of the eye. You need to reach the blue key as quickly as possible. Once the ants grab the key you unlock the yellow block and open up the rest of the board for clearing.
Colony Flow Level 180 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Clear the bottom border using the connected pink and purple blocks
Start your game by pulling the connected pair containing the pink block with twenty moves and the purple block with twenty moves. These two blocks drop into your first two waiting slots. The ants stream out of the nest hole and head straight for the bottom edge of the board. They start eating the purple and pink tiles that form the lowest shadow under the eye. This opening move is completely safe because the bottom edge is completely exposed to the nest. The ants have a direct open path to their matching colors. Your waiting slots will clear out steadily because the ants continuously eat the tiles until the numbers count down to zero. You clear the entire bottom border and create an open space for your next set of moves.
Step 2: Open the lower sections with the black and light brown blocks
Next you need to pull the black block holding twenty moves and the light brown block holding twenty moves. The black block is connected to the locked yellow block holding twenty five moves. When you pull this pair the black ants rush out to eat the dark outline under the eye. The locked yellow block drops into your waiting slot but sends out no ants. It sits there taking up valuable space. This creates a dangerous bottleneck in your tray. You have to keep the remaining slots open for active blocks. Pull the light brown block to send ants to the lower left side of the picture. The light brown ants eat the skin colored tiles on the left edge and clear a path moving upwards.
Step 3: Push up the left edge to collect the blue key
Now you must focus entirely on reaching the blue key in the top left corner. Pull the red block holding twenty moves into a free waiting slot. The red ants stream up the left side of the eye and follow the path cleared by the light brown ants. Their target is the cluster of red tiles right next to the blue key. Keep your other slots empty if possible so you do not jam your tray while you wait for the red ants to finish their journey. The ants eat through the red tiles and finally touch the blue key. Collecting this key is your most important achievement in the early game. The lock immediately disappears from the yellow block sitting in your waiting slot.
Step 4: Unleash the yellow ants and start clearing the white eyeball
Once the blue key is collected the yellow block holding twenty five moves activates. The yellow ants pour out of the nest and swarm the thick yellow layers surrounding the eyeball. They clear the left side and begin wrapping around the top and bottom. At the same time you pull the white block holding fifteen moves. The white ants start eating the main white section of the eyeball. The center of the picture opens up significantly during this phase. Watch your slots carefully as you pull a black block with five moves and a red block with eleven moves to support the clearing process. You keep your tray moving smoothly because the yellow and white ants have massive open surface areas to attack.
Step 5: Hollow out the center iris and right side layers
The center of the eye is made of black and brown tiles forming the dark iris. Pull the black block holding twelve moves and the light brown block holding fourteen moves. The ants march right into the center of the eye and eat the dark core. You also need to clear the remaining yellow tiles on the right side of the picture. Pull another yellow block holding fourteen moves from your tray. The yellow ants wrap around the right edge and clear those remaining pixels. The picture is now mostly gone. Always make sure the ants have an open path to their colors before you pull the next block into your tray.
Step 6: Finish the top pink eyelid and final red sections
Only a few chunks of the eye remain at the very top of the board. You have a connected pair of red and black blocks both holding eighteen moves. Pull them into your waiting slots now. The red ants finish the red layer directly above the eye and the black ants finish the top dark outline. You have plenty of open paths so the slots clear quickly. Finally pull the remaining pink block holding twenty one moves and the white block holding twenty twenty moves. The final ants stream out of the nest and eat the very last tiles on the board. The top pink eyelid disappears entirely. The board is fully clear and you win the level.
Final Thought
Managing the locked block is the only tricky part of this board. You simply have to rush the left side and grab that blue key before your waiting slots fill up with useless blocks. If any step is hard to follow in text I encourage you to watch the video above this article. Seeing the exact ant paths and block pulls in motion makes the strategy perfectly clear.
