What You Are Working With

This board features a large pixel art cat sitting directly in the center of the screen. The cat is mostly white with vibrant pink and red details on the ears and the face. The cat is holding a bright red rose attached to a thick green stem with large green leaves. Behind the cat is a solid bright yellow background that fills the entire upper half and sides of the frame. The entire image rests on a thick dark line that stretches across the bottom. Your tray is packed with heavily loaded blocks. You will see massive numbers like a 43 black block several yellow blocks in the mid thirties and huge white blocks for the cat body. You do not have any special mechanics on this specific level. There are no hidden boxes no chocolate and no hungry doors to worry about. You are simply dealing with a massive amount of solid colored tiles and very high block numbers.

What It Takes to Clear Level 495 Board

Your tray has five waiting slots at the bottom of the screen. This is the core challenge of the game. If you pull a colored block and the ants cannot reach the matching color on the board that block sits in the slot. If you fill all five slots with blocked colors the game ends immediately and you lose the level. Therefore every single decision revolves around opening new paths. To win this board you have to peel the image from the bottom up. The dark base must go first to expose the bottom edge of the white cat and the yellow background. Once the bottom is open your ants can flood upward into the puzzle. The main trick is balancing your attacks. If you pull too many yellow blocks too early they will sit in your waiting slots because the ants only have a narrow path up the outer sides. You must constantly alternate between clearing the central cat body and eating away the outer yellow background to keep your waiting slots completely empty.

Colony Flow Level 495 Step by Step Solution

Step 1: Clear the dark base line to open the bottom of the puzzle.

You begin this level staring at a completely solid picture. A dark horizontal line forms the foundation beneath the cat. Right at the top of your tray sits a massive 43 black block. Tap this block immediately to pull it into your first waiting slot. A huge swarm of ants will stream out of the nest hole and spread across the entire bottom edge of the picture. They will eat every single dark pixel along that bottom row. You must do this first because the dark foundation blocks all access to the rest of the board. Without clearing it your ants have nowhere to go. Once the 43 block counts down to zero your first waiting slot opens back up. The entire bottom edge of the main picture is now fully exposed and ready for the next phase.

Step 2: Launch the first wave of white and yellow blocks.

Now that the dark foundation is gone you can see the white tiles of the cat belly and the yellow tiles of the bottom background corners. Your tray offers a 25 white block and several yellow blocks in the thirty range. Pull the 25 white block into your tray. The ants will march straight up the middle and carve a path into the white belly. Right after that pull a 32 yellow block to send ants to the outer left and right edges. Splitting your ant forces between the center white tiles and the outer yellow tiles is the secret to winning this level. This strategy keeps multiple paths active at the same time. Wide open paths mean your numbered blocks count down incredibly fast and your waiting slots never stay full for very long.

Step 3: Erase the green flower stem and leaves.

As the ants hollow out the bottom of the cat they will uncover the lowest edge of the green stem. The cat is holding a bright red rose but you cannot reach the red petals until you remove the plant matter in the way. Look at your tray and find the 21 green block and the 8 green block. Tap the 21 green block first. The ants will rush the center of the board and climb up to devour the thick green stem. Let them finish this large block completely. Once the path is perfectly clear pull the 8 green block to clean up the remaining green leaves. Removing the green tiles is a crucial bottleneck to pass. It creates a massive opening in the very center of the board and grants direct access to the bright red flower.

Step 4: Consume the large red rose in the center.

The green barrier is completely gone and the bright red flower is exposed to your ants. Your tray holds a 25 red block just waiting to be used. Tap it and watch the ants flood the center of the picture. They will take huge chunks out of the red petals. The 25 block will not erase the entire flower but it removes the bulk of the obstacle. You want to break down large solid shapes like this flower as soon as you have a clear path to them. Leaving a solid mass in the center of the board forces your ants to travel in tight narrow lines around it. Clearing the flower opens up the middle of the board into a wide arena so your ants can move efficiently.

Step 5: Push the yellow background up the outer sides.

While the center of the board looks great you cannot forget about the massive yellow background. If you leave the yellow tiles for too long they will overwhelm your tray later. You have huge 35 yellow blocks waiting at the bottom of your screen. Pull one of these 35 yellow blocks into an open slot. The ants will split up and travel up the left and right borders of the picture. They will eat away the yellow tiles and keep the background perfectly level with the hollowed out center. Constantly switching your attention between the main subject and the background is the best way to prevent slot jams. You always want your ants working on the edges while you manage the complex colors in the middle.

Step 6: Carve out the white chest and arms.

The middle of the board is an empty open space and the red flower is mostly gone. You now have direct access to the chest and arms of the cat. Pull the 30 white block and the 36 white block from your tray. The ants have a massive superhighway straight up the middle of the screen. Because the path is so wide the ants will drain these huge block numbers extremely fast. They will swarm the white tiles and hollow out the entire midsection of the cat. You will see the picture transform into a deep empty bowl shape. Never hesitate to play your largest blocks when the board is wide open like this. Fast clearing speeds up the entire level and keeps your slots safely empty.

Step 7: Target the pink paw details and lower face.

screenshot

The ants are now reaching the upper half of the cat where the colors get more complicated. You will uncover pink tiles for the paw pads and the lower parts of the inner ears. Locate the 17 pink block and the 5 pink block in your tray. Tap the 17 pink block to clear the larger pink clusters. Managing these smaller color groups requires precise timing. Only pull these pink blocks when you are absolutely sure the ants have a clear uninterrupted path to them. If you pull a pink block too early it will sit in your tray and block a valuable slot while waiting for the white tiles to get out of the way. Play patiently and let the paths open up naturally.

Step 8: Clear the red bow tie and upper facial features.

The cat wears a red bow tie and has red details near the ears. You have a 27 red block waiting in your tray for exactly this moment. Play the 27 red block to handle these upper red sections. The ants will climb high up into the empty space and pick off the red pixels. At the same time you should pull the 29 white block to erase the final white tiles on the face and cheeks. The ants will swarm the top center of the board and erase the rest of the main body. At this point the recognizable cat shape is completely gone. All that remains is the very top section of the yellow background and the very tips of the red and pink ears.

Step 9: Mop up the massive top yellow border.

Your board is incredibly open now. The only major obstacle left is the thick yellow bar running across the top of the screen. Your final large blocks are a 28 yellow block and a 20 yellow block. Tap both of them into your tray if you have the open slots. A massive wave of ants will rush to the very top of the board and eat away the thick yellow ceiling. The wide open space means the ants travel without any traffic jams. They will chew through these high numbers in seconds. The yellow border will shrink down to a tiny thin line across the top edge.

Step 10: Finish off the remaining small edge pieces.

The final few blocks in your tray are a mix of small numbers. You will see a 12 yellow block a 3 red block a 16 yellow block a 6 red block and a 1 yellow block. Feed these into the tray one by one as slots open up. The ants will scurry along the top edge and pick off the final few pixels of the ears and the background. Keep feeding the blocks steadily. Since the board is completely empty below these final tiles the ants take a direct straight line to their targets. Watch the final pieces disappear and the victory screen will trigger.
