Colony Flow Level 76 presents a fun pixel art challenge featuring a little black creature holding a bright star. You start with a board covered in a massive light blue background and some tricky obstacles at the top. The key to winning is managing the large wave of background tiles while slowly chipping away at the central figure. I played through this one a few times to get the timing right and keep my slots open.
Colony Flow Level 76 Overview
What You Are Working With
The pixel art shows a black creature with white eyes holding up a yellow and orange star. A large light blue background surrounds the entire figure. The biggest challenge comes from two chocolate blocks sitting right on top of the creature antennas. Each chocolate block has a massive count of one hundred. These chocolate pieces cover and block the food tiles underneath them until your ants clear them away completely. Your tray is packed with high count light blue blocks along with black white yellow and orange blocks. The bottom area starts open but you have a huge amount of light blue tiles to process before you can reach the top.
What It Takes to Clear Level 76 Board
You win this level by melting the chocolate early and maintaining a steady flow of ants on all sides. You must keep the five waiting slots from jamming by always providing an open path for every color you pull. The light blue background tiles block the way to the top half of the board. You need to pull light blue and black blocks in alternating patterns to widen the bottom clearing. Once the ants reach the chocolate they will swarm it and break it down. After the chocolate falls you can focus on the white eyes the remaining black body and finally the orange and yellow star at the top.
Colony Flow Level 76 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Open the lower background to create space for your colony.
Your first move is to tackle the heavy light blue background at the bottom of the board. You begin with a completely solid wall of blue pixels separating the nest hole from the main figure. Pull the first thirty six count light blue block from the tray into your waiting slots. The light blue ants will immediately stream out of the nest and start eating away the lowest layers of the sky. This opens up crucial physical space on the board and prevents early bottlenecks. You need this wide space to expose the bottom edge of the black creature. Watch the counter on your light blue block tick down as the ants consume the tiles one by one. Do not pull too many blocks at once because you only have five slots to work with. If you pull three blue blocks instantly they will clog your tray. Let this first massive block do its job and clear a wide open path entirely across the bottom before you make your next move.
Step 2: Attack the bottom of the black creature to open the center path.
Once the light blue ants clear the lowest background tiles the wide flat bottom of the black creature becomes fully exposed. Pull a twenty eight count black block into your slots to send a completely new wave of ants toward the center of the board. The black ants will march straight up the middle and begin eating the flat base of the creature. This is a critical move because it creates a vertical channel straight through the pixel art. Keeping a vertical channel open gives your ants multiple distinct angles to reach higher tiles faster. Pulling the black block now also prevents your slots from jamming since both the light blue and black paths are fully accessible. You can safely let the blue ants and black ants work together without taking up too much room in your tray.
Step 3: Melt the chocolate blocks blocking the upper antennas.
The two chocolate blocks sitting at the very top of the board have an incredibly huge count of one hundred each. They totally cover the tips of the antennas and block all access to the upper sides of the star. You absolutely must melt these down before you can progress toward the final sections of the level. Continue pulling high count light blue blocks and black blocks to push your swarms higher up the board. The light blue ants will chew straight through the side background tiles and wrap around the outer edges of the chocolate. The black ants will climb straight up the antennas and hit the chocolate from the inside bottom edge. Since the chocolate blocks take a massive amount of individual hits you just need to keep feeding black and light blue blocks constantly into your tray. The ants will relentlessly swarm the chocolate from multiple sides until both hundred count blocks finally melt away and vanish completely.
Step 4: Clear the white eyes to finish the lower face.
With the bottom half of the creature mostly gone you will clearly see the distinctive white pixel eyes staring back at you. Pull a ten count white block into your waiting slots. The white ants will rush out of the nest and consume the left eye quickly. Pull a second ten count white block or an eight count white block shortly after to clear out the right eye. Clearing the eyes completely removes a solid barrier directly in the middle of the black shape. This single action allows your black ants to move much more freely and rapidly clean up the remaining sections of the main body. Always make strictly sure the eyes are fully exposed before pulling the white blocks so they do not sit waiting in your slots and cause a frustrating loss.
Step 5: Strip away the side background tiles.
The light blue background requires constant active attention throughout the entirety of this level. By this point the left and right side columns of light blue tiles are completely exposed and waiting to be cleared. Pull another large thirty count light blue block to send ants marching up the left and right outer walls of the board. The ants will separate and travel in two distinct streams up the sides to begin eating the top corners of the sky. You will likely see several light blue blocks slowly stacking up in your tray with single digit counts remaining. Just let them resolve naturally at their own pace. As long as the side paths remain perfectly open those blocks will eventually clear out of your waiting slots and keep your entire game totally safe from jamming.
Step 6: Break through the orange border of the star.
The main dark creature is almost entirely cleared out and the only major obstacle left standing is the beautiful star at the top. The star features a distinct dark orange border beautifully outlining a solid yellow center. Pull a twenty two count orange block from your tray to begin the assault. The orange ants will stream rapidly up the middle channel you carved out earlier and start stripping away the thick orange outline. You absolutely must clear this orange border before the yellow center becomes fully accessible to your swarms. Watch the orange ants climb up the remaining black antennas to efficiently reach the bottom edges of the star. The board is incredibly open right now so the orange ants will have absolutely no trouble finding their required targets.
Step 7: Consume the yellow center of the star.
With the orange border heavily damaged or perhaps completely gone the solid yellow core of the star is finally ready to be eaten. Pull a large thirty count yellow block into your active slots. A huge wave of yellow ants will march directly to the very top center of the board and rapidly consume the bulk of the star. You will probably need to follow up quickly with a twenty five count yellow block to catch the remaining yellow pixels hiding in the corners. This bright yellow section clears incredibly fast because the ants can attack it simultaneously from the bottom and both open sides. Ensure your other slots are diligently processing any leftover black or light blue blocks while the yellow ants diligently do their essential work.
Step 8: Clean up the final pixels to complete the board.
The last few moments of the puzzle require very careful slot management to avoid making a silly mistake right at the very end. You will have a small handful of scattered tiles remaining including the very top edge of the light blue sky a few stray black pixels on the top antennas and maybe some stubborn orange corners on the star. Take a careful look at which specific paths are located closest to the nest hole. Pull the exact corresponding blocks to deliberately feed those specific short paths. A final light blue block will effortlessly finish the top border while a small black block perfectly cleans up the very last antenna pieces. Once the absolute final pixel disappears the level is officially won and the victory screen appears.
Final Thought
Colony Flow Level 76 demands a lot of patience with the heavy background and those massive chocolate blocks. Maintaining a steady mix of light blue and black blocks early on is your best strategy to keep the board moving.
