Welcome to Colony Flow Level 472. This puzzle features a colorful house design with a cute pink flower inside and a large Hungry Door taking up the top center space. You need to carefully manage your tray slots because the path to the picture is narrow at the start. I found that opening the left side first gives your ants the room they need to swarm the board without getting stuck.

What You Are Working With

The picture board looks like a charming little pixel art house. The outer walls are made of light blue tiles and the roof consists of dark blue tiles. A bright pink flower with a green stem sits right in the middle of the house. The entire structure rests on a solid red brick foundation. The background surrounding the house is completely filled with white tiles. The most obvious obstacle is the massive Hungry Door in the upper middle area. This door has a large counter on it starting at 126. You must clear the required tiles around the board to make that counter drop. Once the counter reaches zero the door will open to reveal more tiles underneath. Your tray holds a variety of colored blocks including light blue, white, dark blue, red, green, and pink.

What It Takes to Clear Level 472 Board

You win the level when every single colored tile is eaten by your colony and the board is perfectly empty. The main challenge is managing your five waiting slots at the bottom of the screen. If you pull five blocks into the slots and the ants have no open path to reach those specific colors on the board you will lose instantly. The ants stream out of the nest hole and need a direct route to the matching food tiles. You must always ensure at least one block in your waiting slots has a valid target. My strategy revolves around working from the outside edges inward. This guarantees the ants never hit a dead end and your waiting slots keep moving smoothly.

Colony Flow Level 472 Step by Step Solution

Step 1: Open the left side by pulling light blue and white blocks

You want to start by creating a clear lane on the left side of the picture. The space near the nest hole is quite crowded at the very beginning of the level. Pull the first light blue block and a white block from the tray into your waiting slots to get things moving. The ants will immediately pour out of the nest hole and travel up the left edge of the board. They will begin eating away the white background tiles and the light blue tiles that make up the left wall of the house. As they eat the tiles the numbers on your tray blocks will count down rapidly. Keep an eye on these numbers as they drop. When a block empties out completely it disappears from the waiting slot and frees up space for your next move. Doing this left side push early ensures you establish a strong wide path for the rest of the colony. It also keeps your waiting slots cycling quickly so nothing gets backed up.

Step 2: Send the colony to the dark blue roof and the red base

screenshot

Once the left wall opens up you gain access to the top and bottom sections of the house. The board naturally branches out from here. Bring a dark blue block and a red block up into your waiting slots. The colony will naturally split into two massive streams right out of the nest hole. One group of ants will march all the way up the newly cleared left side to attack the dark blue roof tiles. The second group will turn right near the nest hole and start munching straight across the red base tiles at the bottom of the structure. This move is incredibly effective because it uses two completely different areas of the board at the exact same time. This prevents the ants from bunching up in a single traffic jam and ensures your waiting slots empty out quickly. You never want your slots to sit full for too long so splitting the colony like this is an excellent habit to build.

Step 3: Clear the pink flower and the green leaves in the center

screenshot

With the outer borders fading away you finally have a clear path to the middle of the house. Now is the perfect time to address the plant design in the center. Pull a pink block and a green block into your waiting slots. The ants will swarm directly into the center of the picture to feast on the bright pink flower petals and the dark green stem. You will notice the counter on the large Hungry Door dropping significantly as these middle tiles disappear. The door demands a certain amount of clearing across the board before it yields. Make sure you only pull the pink and green blocks when you clearly see the ants can reach the flower without any white tiles blocking their way. Pulling them too early would jam your tray and easily cost you the level. Watching the flower vanish piece by piece clears out a massive amount of space in the dead center of the board.

Step 4: Expand the clear zone to the right side of the house

screenshot

The left side and the middle are now mostly empty and your board is looking much cleaner. Your next target is the right side of the house which still has plenty of light blue walls and white background tiles attached to it. Pull another set of light blue and white blocks from your tray to resume the assault on the outer edges. The ants will travel straight across the empty red base area and climb up the right side. They will systematically break down the remaining white space and the light blue borders. As the ants consume these tiles the Hungry Door counter will drop down to its final few numbers. You are actively setting the stage for the big reveal. Always check that the ants have an unbroken line to the right side before you commit to filling multiple waiting slots. You want a steady flow of movement rather than a sudden stop.

Step 5: Open the Hungry Door to reveal the hidden face

screenshot

This is the most satisfying moment of the entire level. As your ants clear the last few required tiles on the right side the Hungry Door counter finally hits zero. The large brown box entirely vanishes from the board in a flash. Underneath the door you will find a hidden face built right into the top floor of the house. The face features bright teal eyes and cute pink cheeks made of fresh food tiles. Pull a new pink block and a light blue block from the tray to handle these newly revealed pieces. The ants will rush to the top center of the screen and quickly eat the face tiles. Having empty slots ready for this exact moment is a very good idea. You do not want to be stuck waiting for old white or green blocks to clear when the door finally opens up. You want the ants to transition smoothly right into eating the hidden face.

Step 6: Clean up the final dark blue and green pieces to finish

screenshot

The board is practically completely empty now but a few scattered tiles still remain. You will likely see a handful of dark blue roof tiles hanging in the upper corners and a couple of green leaf pieces resting near the bottom. Your tray will be down to its final few options. Pull your final dark blue block and green block into the waiting slots. The remaining ants will sprint out of the nest and target these isolated patches. Since the board is completely wide open they will take the shortest straight line route possible to finish the job. Watch the final numbers on the blocks tick down to zero as the last pieces of the house disappear from the screen. The board clears completely and you successfully secure the win. The screen will transition and you can move on to the next puzzle.

Final Thought

This level strictly tests your patience and your ability to manage tray space. You have to carve out the outer edges deliberately before you rush the center. If any part of the pathing feels confusing you should absolutely watch the video above this article. Seeing the ants move in real time makes the correct order of blocks incredibly easy to understand and follow. Keep practicing your slot management and you will master these mechanics quickly.
