Welcome back to another puzzle guide. Colony Flow Level 206 features a bright mountain landscape with a winding river and dense forests. I played through this level multiple times to find the safest path to victory. You will need to carefully manage the hidden boxes resting in the tray so your waiting slots never jam. I will walk you through exactly how to strip this landscape away without trapping your ant colony.
Colony Flow Level 206 Overview
What You Are Working With
The picture is a detailed and colorful nature scene. You have a massive light blue sky taking up the entire top half of the board. A bright orange sun sits quietly in the upper left corner of that sky. Below the sky, a large mountain range stretches across the horizon made entirely of white snowy tiles. The foreground features a winding dark purple river. This river cuts through wide expanses of light green grassy fields. On the right side, you will notice a thick patch of dark green forest tiles.
Your tray at the bottom of the screen is packed tight with several layers of colored blocks. You will start by looking at a solid wall of light blue blocks and white blocks. Most of these carry high values like twenty or fifteen. Deeper in the tray, you will find hidden boxes. These special tiles look like black squares decorated with small star icons. They completely conceal their true colors until you clear the regular blocks sitting above them. This adds an element of mystery to your planning because you cannot see the dark purple or green blocks right away.
What It Takes to Clear Level 206 Board
Winning this level requires you to methodically dismantle the landscape from the outside in. You must clear the massive light blue sky and the white mountains first. Doing this carves out the physical space your ants need to travel freely across the screen. Your primary threat is the five slot limit at the bottom of the board. If you pull a block into a waiting slot and the ants cannot reach the matching colored tiles, that block freezes in place. If you freeze all five slots, you lose the level immediately.
The hidden boxes make this rule especially dangerous. You might accidentally uncover a hidden dark purple block and tap it before the river is actually exposed to the ants. To clear the board successfully, you must constantly read the open paths on the screen. You should only tap blocks from the tray when you know the ants have a wide and clear path to reach the matching pixels on the picture.
Colony Flow Level 206 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Tap the initial light blue blocks to clear the outer edges of the sky
The level begins with a massive amount of light blue tiles forming the sky. Your tray reflects this by offering several light blue blocks with the number twenty printed on them. Tap the first three light blue blocks to bring them into your waiting slots. The ants will pour out of the circular nest hole at the bottom center of the screen and immediately branch out to the left and right. They travel along the invisible grid and hug the far left and far right borders. They begin eating away at the outer border of the sky. This early action is incredibly safe. You have a massive surface area for the light blue ants to work on. They will not get stuck. As they drain the numbers from your waiting blocks, your slots will empty out quickly. This clears out the top layer of your tray and prepares you for the next phase.
Step 2: Bring the white blocks into the slots to carve into the snowy mountain peaks
Once the outer sky thins out, you will uncover the white blocks in the tray. The center of the picture features a large white snowy mountain. Pull one or two white blocks into your waiting area. You want to run the white blocks alongside the light blue blocks. The ants will target the white snowy peaks while the light blue ants continue working on the sky. Keeping both colors active prevents traffic jams near the nest hole. If you only pull white blocks, the ants will bottleneck at the base of the mountain. Mixing light blue and white gives your colony multiple active zones. You will also notice the hidden boxes in the tray during this phase. Keep clearing the standard light blue and white blocks to force these hidden boxes to reveal their true colors.
Step 3: Activate the dark green blocks to eliminate the heavy forest area on the right
The right side of the landscape features a dark green forest section. As you dig deeper into the tray, a dark green block with a value of fifteen becomes available from behind a hidden box. Tap this dark green block into an open slot. The ants will head straight for that dense forest patch. The forest is positioned right near the bottom edge of the picture. This proximity means the ants have a very short travel time from the nest hole to the target tiles. They will tear through the dark green section very rapidly. Because they finish their job so fast, that waiting slot will free up almost immediately. Rapid block completion keeps your board safe from the five slot limit. You can then pull another block from the tray without fear of overcrowding your slots.
Step 4: Play the dark purple blocks to drain the winding river in the center
The remaining hidden boxes will eventually transform into dark purple blocks. These match the winding river that cuts right through the middle of the grassy plains. Tap a single dark purple block to send your colony into the riverbed. The river is narrow and creates a natural choke point. The ants have to form a single line to chew through the dark purple tiles. Because of this narrow path, the dark purple block will count down much slower than the light blue or white blocks did. You must be patient here. Do not pull multiple dark purple blocks at the same time. If you fill three slots with dark purple blocks, your ants will just queue up behind each other and trap you. Just keep one dark purple block active at a time. Let the ants work their way up the river slowly while you use your other slots for different colors.
Step 5: Release the orange block to erase the sun from the top left corner
A bright orange sun sits tucked away in the upper left quadrant of the sky. You will find an orange block with a value of fifteen deep in the tray. You should wait until the light blue sky and the white mountains have mostly vanished before you tap the orange block. By waiting, you create a massive open space for the ants to travel. They will run all the way up to the top left corner completely unobstructed. Tapping the orange block too early is a major mistake. If the sky is still thick, the orange ants will struggle to find a path to the sun. They will just sit in the waiting slot and occupy valuable space. Timing your orange block play correctly guarantees that it will drain smoothly and leave your slot open for the final cleanup phase.
Step 6: Deploy the light green blocks to sweep away the grassy fields
The bottom half of the picture is dominated by light green grassy plains. Once the river is mostly gone, these grassy plains become highly exposed. You will see several light green blocks in the tray holding values like twenty and ten. Pull a couple of these light green blocks into your slots. The ants will flood the lower half of the board. Since the grassy area is wide open, you can safely have two light green blocks active at once. The colony will spread out and eat the grass from multiple angles simultaneously. This mass attack clears the bottom half of the picture very quickly. It also exposes the very bottom row of the tray. You are now looking at the final few blocks needed to beat the level.
Step 7: Clear the remaining light blue and white tiles to finish the level
The final board state will look somewhat fragmented. You will have a few isolated patches of light blue sky and a handful of white snowy tiles left. The bottom of your tray will offer the exact light blue and white blocks you need to finish the job. Tap these remaining blocks into your slots. By this point, the board is entirely open. The ants will have zero trouble reaching any corner of the picture. Watch the numbers on the blocks tick down to zero as the ants wipe out the last few pixels of the landscape. Your waiting slots will empty out one last time and the picture will completely disappear.
Final Thought
Level 206 tests your patience with the narrow river and your restraint with the hidden boxes. As long as you focus on clearing the massive outer edges first, you will always have room to maneuver. If you find yourself struggling to visualize the ant paths for the dark purple river or the orange sun, watch the gameplay video above. Seeing the timing in motion will help you conquer this level with ease.
