What You Are Working With

The board features a large pixel art superhero taking up most of the screen. The character wears a red suit and a flowing red cape. He has a green emblem on his chest and a yellow belt around his waist. He holds a white sword in his left hand. He has brown hair and a brown beard. The entire character sits over a solid blue background of food tiles. You have three distinct keys resting on the board. A blue key sits near the hilt of the white sword on the left side. A yellow key rests right above the green chest emblem in the center. A green key sits near the right boot of the character. You also face two Hungry Doors stacked on the far right edge of the board near the head of the character. Each door requires 40 brown ants to open. Down in your tray you have large number blocks including a massive 75 blue block and several locked yellow blocks that require the board keys to activate.

What It Takes to Clear Level 136 Board

You lose the game if you fill all five waiting slots in your tray and no ants have an open path to the board. Your entire strategy revolves around preventing a dead end. You need to clear the outer edges of the picture first to carve paths inward toward the center details. You must collect the keys as early as possible because they unlock the trapped blocks in your tray that you desperately need to finish the character. You also have to funnel a huge amount of brown ants into the two Hungry Doors to clear the right side. You win the level when you feed the doors completely, collect all keys, clear every single colored tile, and empty your tray.

Colony Flow Level 136 Step by Step Solution

Step 1: Open the left side by targeting the red cape and the blue background

You need to create immediate space on the board so you do not jam your tray early. Pull a red block and a blue block into your active slots. The red ants march up the left side and begin consuming the outer edge of the red cape. The blue ants swarm the bottom left corner and start eating the blue background tiles. This opens up a wide path on the left side of the screen. Keeping these two colors active ensures your slots drain steadily because the ants have completely unobstructed access to their target colors.

Step 2: Send green ants to the center to secure the green emblem

With the left side clearing out you can now target the interior details of the superhero. Pull a green block into your tray. The green ants travel up through the cleared space and attack the green emblem on the chest of the character. They chew through the green tiles and this action eventually clears a path to the right boot area where the green key sits. Securing this early progress helps keep the board flowing and prepares you for the next specific color targets without clogging your five waiting slots.

Step 3: Collect the yellow key by clearing the center belt area

You need the yellow key to free the locked yellow blocks sitting at the bottom of your screen. Pull a yellow block into an open slot. The yellow ants route themselves to the center of the superhero and consume the yellow belt tiles. As they clear the belt they grab the yellow key resting just above the green emblem. Grabbing this key unlocks a crucial block in your tray and expands your options for upcoming moves. Always make sure you have at least one large blue or red block running in the background to keep the overall traffic moving while you snipe these small center details.

Step 4: Deploy white ants to consume the sword and grab the blue key

You still have a blue key trapped on the left side of the board near the sword. Pull a white block into your active tray. The white ants travel to the bottom left and eat the white tiles that make up the sword. Clearing the sword reveals and collects the blue key. Now the majority of your locked tray blocks are free to use. You maintain a safe tray by clearing these isolated colors quickly before they pile up and cause a slot jam.

Step 5: Peel away the remaining red suit and begin attacking the brown boots

Your tray is now unlocked and you have plenty of red and brown blocks available. Bring up more red blocks to clear the arms and torso of the character. Send brown ants to the bottom right to eat the boots and grab the final green key if it is still lingering. The red ants will chew through the bulk of the suit and the cape. You must keep sending blue ants to the background during this phase. The 75 blue block takes a very long time to drain so you need those ants constantly moving to the top and right side of the board.

Step 6: Unleash the brown blocks to feed the hungry doors

screenshot

The two doors on the right edge require a massive 80 brown ants total. Pull multiple brown blocks into your waiting slots. The brown ants swarm the hair and the beard of the character. They also reach the right edge and begin hitting the two doors. You will see the numbers on the doors count down from 40 as the brown ants sacrifice themselves to the doors. You must dedicate several tray slots to brown blocks right now to satisfy this requirement. Do not pull any other small detail colors until the doors are heavily depleted.

Step 7: Clear the hair and finalize the door requirements

Keep feeding the brown blocks into the tray. The doors finally open when their numbers hit zero. The remaining brown ants finish off the hair and the top of the head. The character face and body are completely gone at this point. You only have a few straggling pieces of the red suit and the dark boots left. Pull the small red and black blocks to clean up these final character details. Your tray should be mostly empty now with only a few large blocks remaining.

Step 8: Mop up the final blue background tiles to complete the board

Only the top right section and some scattered blue background tiles remain on the screen. Pull the final massive blue blocks into your active slots. The blue ants sweep around the empty space where the superhero used to stand. They consume the last blue tiles in the top right corner. The board completely clears and your active slots empty out. You have successfully managed the keys and the doors without ever dead ending your tray.

Final Thought

Level 136 tests your ability to juggle large background clearings with precise key grabbing. You have to balance feeding those hungry doors while making sure your blue and red ants constantly have a path to travel. If you run into any trouble visualizing how the ants path around the cape or how to time the door feeding please watch the video above this article. The video shows the exact timing of every block pull to keep the board moving perfectly.
