Welcome back to another puzzle guide. Colony Flow Level 50 brings a fun music theme with a cute character wearing headphones and playing a guitar. You will need to carefully manage connected boxes and collect keys to unlock your restricted tray blocks. I played through this board multiple times to find the safest route to the end. I will show you exactly how to navigate these mechanics so you never run out of space.
Colony Flow Level 50 Overview
What You Are Working With
The board features a pixel art character wearing large headphones and holding an electric guitar. The colors include a massive amount of white for the face and hands. You also have black for the heavy outlines and the shoes. Red tiles make up the hair bow and the main body of the guitar. Brown tiles form the neck of the guitar and the outer ear pieces of the headphones. Blue tiles create the overalls on the character. A giant field of yellow tiles creates the background border around the entire picture.
You will face two main special mechanics on this board. First you will see lock and key elements. Several keys rest on specific tiles on the board. You must direct your ants to eat those exact tiles to collect the keys. Collecting these keys will unlock the matching padlock blocks sitting in your lower tray. Second you have connected boxes. These are linked blocks in your tray that pull together into your waiting slots as a single group. You cannot pull just one piece of a connected group.
What It Takes to Clear Level 50 Board
Winning means clearing every single colored tile from the screen without filling all five of your waiting slots. You must prioritize collecting the keys early to prevent a massive tray jam. You also need to plan your moves around the connected boxes so they do not overwhelm your limited slot space at the bottom of the screen. Success requires working from the bottom up while keeping open paths to the sides. If you fill all five waiting slots and no ants can reach a valid color tile you lose the level instantly.
Colony Flow Level 50 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Open the bottom corners by sending yellow and black ants to the base
You begin the level with a tray full of various high number colors. Your first priority is opening the bottom edge of the board. Pull the yellow 36 block into your first waiting slot. The yellow ants will stream out of the nest hole and head straight for the bottom background border corners. At the same time pull the black 35 block to target the black shoes at the very bottom center of the character. The numbers on these blocks will count down as the ants consume the tiles. Opening these bottom sections creates vital pathways for your ants to reach the inner tiles.
Step 2: Manage the first connected yellow boxes carefully
As the bottom border begins to clear you will see connected yellow boxes in your tray. These blocks pull together as a group and take up multiple slots. Before you tap them check your waiting slots. You must have enough empty space to hold the entire chain. Pull the connected yellow 10 and yellow 36 boxes to keep the yellow ants moving up the left and right sides of the background border. Pair this move with a brown 14 block. The yellow ants will steadily eat away the outer edges and give you more breathing room while the brown ants start moving toward the guitar neck.
Step 3: Dig into the massive white face and hands
With the bottom section fully open you can now reach the white tiles. The character has a large white face and small white hands resting on the guitar. Pull the white 40 block from your tray followed by the white 35 block. The white ants will stream up the middle and begin dismantling the face. This is a very large color group so it will take multiple blocks to clear completely. Keep feeding the white ants while balancing your slots with another color. You always want to leave at least one or two slots empty so you never get trapped without a move.
Step 4: Target the blue overalls and collect the first key
The blue overalls sit right above the black shoes. You will notice a key resting on one of the tiles nearby. You absolutely need to clear these areas to progress. Pull the blue 24 block into an empty slot. The blue ants will march straight to the center of the board to eat the overalls. Once they eat the specific tile holding the key your matching locked block in the tray will instantly become available. Never ignore the keys or you will eventually run out of playable blocks in your tray and lose the level.
Step 5: Attack the brown guitar neck and the large headphones
Now turn your attention back to the brown sections. The brown tiles form the neck of the guitar and the large headphones on the head of the character. Some of these brown tiles also hold essential keys. Pull your brown 15 block and brown 19 block to send ants to these areas. The ants will split off to the left and right to reach the headphones. As they eat through the brown tiles they will collect the remaining keys you need. This action unlocks the green and blue restricted padlock blocks in your lower tray.
Step 6: Clear the red guitar body and the red hair bow
The red tiles are clustered in two main spots on the board. You have the large red body of the guitar on the lower right and the red hair bow on the top right of the head. Pull the red 32 block into your tray to get the red ants moving. They will tackle the guitar first since it is closer to the bottom spawn hole. Once the guitar disappears pull the red 12 block. The red ants will travel all the way up the right side to eat the bow. Make sure the paths remain clear so the ants do not get stuck trying to reach the top.
Step 7: Continue feeding the yellow ants to shrink the background
You will encounter more connected yellow boxes as you dig deeper into your tray. By now the top half of the yellow border is the only yellow section left. Check your five waiting slots to ensure you have the capacity for linked blocks like the yellow 5 and yellow 7. Tap the linked yellow blocks and watch the ants swarm the upper corners of the background border. Always balance a large linked pull with a smaller single block pull. This keeps the board clearing evenly and prevents any single color from blocking the nest hole.
Step 8: Finish the heavy black outlines around the character
The black tiles form a thick outline around the entire character and the accessories. You started on the black shoes early on but the bulk of the black tiles remain at the top. With the white face and colored clothes mostly gone the black outlines are fully exposed. Pull your remaining black 29 and black 12 blocks. The black ants will travel around the empty spaces to eat the borders around the head. This is usually where the board looks very fragmented. Just trust the process and keep your slots from filling up entirely.
Step 9: Empty the final remaining tray blocks to win
You are now in the home stretch of the level. The board only has a few scattered tiles left near the top edge. Your tray should only have two or three blocks remaining. Pull the final yellow 3 block to finish the very top of the background border. Pull the last red 16 block to finish the top edge of the hair bow. Finally pull the last white 24 block to clear the remaining stray pixels of the face. The ants will take their time walking all the way to the top of the screen. Watch them finish their meal and the level will complete successfully.
Final Thought
Beating this board feels incredibly rewarding once you understand how the linked boxes operate. Your entire success comes down to slot management and grabbing those keys as early as possible. If you keep your tray clear and your paths wide open the ants will do the rest of the hard work for you. Please watch the video above this article if any step is hard to follow in text.
