Welcome to Colony Flow Level 306 where you face a massive pixel art turtle on a bright green background. You have to clear away this blue and yellow creature without trapping your ants in a traffic jam. I played through this puzzle and learned exactly how to manage the board. You will need to carefully peel back the outer layers to reach the center safely.

What You Are Working With

The pixel art for this stage features a light blue turtle wearing black sunglasses. The turtle has a yellow and tan belly shell and thick black outlines around its body. A solid green background completely surrounds the character on all sides. On the right side of the board sits a brown Hungry Door. The door displays a white circle with the number 30 printed inside it. You must feed it 30 white blocks to open it and remove it from the board. Your tray at the bottom provides light blue, black, green, yellow, brown, and white blocks. You will also encounter a Hidden Box in the tray holding a question mark. The Hidden Box keeps its color a secret until an open path allows it to move.

What It Takes to Clear Level 306 Board

You win when every single pixel tile vanishes and the board is completely empty. The core challenge comes from the five waiting slots located just above your block tray. When you tap a numbered block in the tray it moves up into one of these five slots. The ants will then take the color from the block and carry it to the matching tiles on the board. Each ant removes one point from the block number as it leaves. If you pick a color that has no open path on the picture that block gets stuck in a waiting slot. Filling all five waiting slots with stuck blocks ends the game immediately. You avoid this by always matching your tray choices to colors that touch the empty open space. You have to work from the outside edges inward to keep your paths free.

Colony Flow Level 306 Step by Step Solution

Step 1: Clear the bottom green grass to open the lower edge

You start out by looking at the very bottom of the board where the green background touches the open space. Your tray gives you a 38 green block and a 40 green block right away. Tap the green blocks to send your ants streaming toward the bottom edge. They will eat away the lower grass layer and expose the black outline of the turtle feet. Getting rid of this bottom layer is the perfect first move because it creates a wide open perimeter. A wider perimeter means more colors become available for your ants to reach. The ants count down the numbers on the green blocks until they completely disappear from the waiting slots.

Step 2: Break into the black outline of the feet

With the bottom green tiles gone you can now reach the black borders. Pull a 30 black block from your tray. The black ants will march up and chew through the bottom borders of the turtle shoes and legs. Opening the black border is critical because it traps the light blue body tiles inside. You never want to pull a light blue block before the black outline is broken. If you pull light blue too early the block will sit dead in your waiting slots and take up valuable space. Let the black ants finish their job so the inner body becomes exposed.

Step 3: Clear the light blue legs and start the white door

Now that the black outline is broken you have a direct path to the light blue legs. Tap the 35 light blue block and the 40 light blue block from your tray. The ants will quickly clear the legs and lower body sections. Around this time you will notice white blocks appearing in your tray. You need to send these white blocks into the board immediately. The white ants will travel all the way to the right side and feed the brown Hungry Door. The door requires 30 white pieces to open. Getting a head start on this door prevents it from blocking your progress later in the stage.

Step 4: Reveal the hidden box in the tray

screenshot

As you pull blocks to clear the bottom you will see a gray block with a question mark drop into your tray. This is a Hidden Box. It will not show you its true color until a path opens up on the board for that specific color. Continue clearing the accessible green and light blue tiles. Once the required path opens the question mark will vanish and reveal the actual color. Treat it just like a normal block once the color shows. Let the ants carry it away so it stops clogging up your tray and frees up space for new blocks to appear.

Step 5: Attack the yellow and brown belly shell

Your ants have chewed their way up to the center of the turtle body. The belly features bright yellow and tan tiles. Pull the 22 yellow block and any brown blocks that appear in the tray to match the shell patterns. The ants will hollow out the center of the shell. Keep a close eye on your five waiting slots during this stage. You might get tempted to pull colors for the upper head but those paths are still blocked by the solid green background. Stick to the yellow and tan tiles right in the center of the board to keep the lines moving smoothly.

Step 6: Feed more white to the hungry door

The Hungry Door on the right is still sitting there taking up space. You need to keep feeding it whenever a white block drops into your tray. Tap the 26 white block or any other white numbers you see available. The countdown on the door will drop from 30 down to 16 and then eventually down to 8. Do not let white blocks pile up in your tray. Send them to the door as soon as you have a free waiting slot. The door acts as a massive roadblock for the right side of the green background so removing it early is a huge advantage.

Step 7: Clear the black sunglasses and face details

Your ants are now reaching the upper half of the turtle character. The turtle wears large black sunglasses with white glare details on the lenses. Pull another 30 black block to clear the thick frames of the glasses. Then pull a 17 light blue block to clear the face underneath. The black outline around the head will also start to vanish as the ants climb higher. You are opening up the top half of the board piece by piece. Always ensure one color finishes clearing before you crowd the waiting slots with a new color.

Step 8: Destroy the hungry door completely

A final few white blocks will appear in your tray. Tap them to send the last wave of white ants to the Hungry Door. The door counter will hit zero and the brown box will completely disappear from the right side. This is a massive relief for your board space. With the door gone your ants can finally access the green background tiles hiding on the far right edge. This completely unlocks the right side of the puzzle and gives your green ants plenty of room to roam.

Step 9: Wipe out the remaining top green background

The turtle is mostly gone and only the top sections remain. You have large pockets of green background spanning the upper left and upper right corners. Pull the 34 green block and the 21 green block to send massive waves of green ants up the sides. They will eat through the top corners rapidly. You might have a few stray black or light blue tiles left in the center. Alternate between pulling green blocks and light blue blocks to keep the board flowing without jamming your slots.

Step 10: Finish the final puzzle pixels

You are down to the very last few blocks in your tray. A small cluster of light blue and black tiles sits near the top edge alongside a thin green border. Pull the remaining 32 light blue and 30 black blocks. Your waiting slots have plenty of room now so you do not need to worry about trapping the ants. Watch the ants swarm the final pieces of the picture. Send the last green block to wipe out the top border. Once they eat the last green and black pixels the board becomes completely empty and you win the level.

Final Thought

Beating this puzzle requires patience and a careful eye on your waiting slots. Always clear the outer edges before you try to pull colors trapped in the center. You must clear the borders completely to give your ants room to work. If you struggle with any specific section I highly recommend you watch the video above this article. Seeing the ants move in real time will help you understand exactly how to time your tray taps and manage your waiting slots successfully.
