Colony Flow Level 1097 drops you into a beautiful night scene filled with stars. You have to command your ants to clear a dark sky behind a giant pale yellow moon and a hanging bat. The board looks peaceful at first glance but it hides a massive trap that can easily ruin your run. You have to think ahead and keep your paths wide open to survive this puzzle.
Colony Flow Level 1097 Overview
What You Are Working With
The pixel art shows a dark purple bat hanging upside down from a brown tree branch. A huge pale yellow moon sits directly behind the bat. The background is a vast black night sky dotted with tiny yellow stars. At the bottom of your screen you have your tray of colored numbered blocks. You will see black blocks for the sky and pale yellow blocks for the moon. You also have yellow blocks for the stars and dark purple blocks for the bat. Brown blocks handle the tree branch and a few green blocks cover the small details. The big special element on this board is the connected boxes mechanic. You will find several blocks linked together by thick chains. When you pull a connected box it drags its partner into the waiting slots with it.
What It Takes to Clear Level 1097 Board
To beat this board you must clear every single pixel of the bat and the moon and the starry sky. You feed the blocks to the ants so they can march out to eat the matching colors. You have exactly five waiting slots just above the tray. Your main lose condition is filling all five slots with blocks that have no clear path to their target colors. If the slots jam up and the ants stop moving you fail the level immediately. Since the connected boxes take up two or three slots at the exact same time they drastically increase your chances of hitting a dead end. Every single move you make must focus on opening up the board so your ants never get stuck in the tray.
Colony Flow Level 1097 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Open the outer night sky with the black blocks
You begin by clearing the massive black background to give your ants some breathing room. Look at your starting tray and pull the black blocks with the values forty and thirty one and twenty. The black ants stream out of the hole and start eating away the dark sky around the edges of the moon. You also pull a pale yellow block to get a second stream of ants working on the outer edge of the moon itself. This dual path strategy prevents the black ants from causing a traffic jam at the nest opening. Keeping the ants moving on two different fronts is the best way to keep your waiting slots empty.
Step 2: Push deeper into the background to isolate the bat
The starry sky is thick and takes a lot of numbers to clear out completely. You need to keep feeding the black ants while introducing more pale yellow blocks. Pull the pale yellow twenty six block and the black twenty one block into the waiting slots. The ants will chew through the top corners of the sky and start rounding the edges of the big moon. You will notice the dark purple shape of the hanging bat becoming much more defined as the background vanishes around it. Make sure you do not pull any purple blocks yet because the bat is still totally surrounded by the moon and the branch.
Step 3: Handle the first set of connected boxes safely
As you clear the first layers of the tray you uncover a green block linked to a black block. This is your first encounter with the connected boxes on this level. The green block holds a value of eight. You must ensure you have an open path to the green details on the board before you pull this chain. Wait until the black ants finish clearing enough sky to expose the tiny green pixels near the bat. Once the path is totally clear you pull the green eight block. The linked black block follows it right into the slots. The green ants rush out to eat their target while the black ants continue devouring the night sky.
Step 4: Unleash the purple ants to devour the hanging bat
With the surrounding sky mostly gone the dark purple bat is fully exposed to your ants. You now have a wide open path to start clearing the center of the board. Pull the massive purple fifty four block from the tray. A huge swarm of purple ants pours out of the hole and completely covers the bat. This is a very satisfying moment because the giant purple block clears almost the entire bat shape in one single go. You also pull a green thirty block to clean up the remaining green highlights near the tree branch. Removing the bat opens up a massive empty space right in the middle of the pale yellow moon.
Step 5: Start breaking down the brown tree branch
The brown tree branch stretches across the middle of the moon and blocks the pale yellow pixels underneath it. You need to get rid of the branch to finish clearing the moon. Pull the brown eleven block and the yellow eight block into the waiting slots. The brown ants will march straight up and start eating the right side of the branch. The yellow ants will target the remaining small stars floating in the night sky. By clearing the stars and the branch at the exact same time you maintain two highly active paths. This prevents any single path from getting congested and keeps your waiting slots cycling smoothly.
Step 6: Clear the second set of connected boxes
You are now looking at another connected box set sitting in the tray. This time it is a yellow five block linked directly to a brown seven block. Before you pull this set you must verify that there are still yellow stars and brown branch pixels available to eat. Since you just opened up the right side of the branch the paths are totally clear. Pull the yellow and brown linked blocks into your waiting slots. The ants will easily find their targets and clear the blocks out of the slots instantly. You also pull a purple fifteen block to wipe out the very last pieces of the bat near the bottom curve.
Step 7: Navigate the dangerous triple connected box
This is the absolute riskiest move of the entire level and you must play it perfectly. You will see a triple connected chain consisting of a yellow block linked to a brown block linked to another yellow block. Pulling this massive chain takes up three of your five waiting slots immediately. If you have any other blocks sitting in the slots you will hit a dead end and fail the run. Wait until your slots are completely empty before you touch this chain. Verify that you still have yellow stars and brown branch pieces exposed on the board. Pull the triple chain up from the tray. The ants will swarm out and consume the targets flawlessly. The three blocks will vanish from the slots and save you from a frustrating level failure.
Step 8: Clean up the final pieces of the tree branch
The board is now mostly empty except for the top half of the giant moon and a few leftover pieces of the brown branch. You pull a green three block and a pale yellow block to keep the momentum going. The green ants clear a tiny remaining leaf detail on the wood while the pale yellow ants continue eating the massive moon background. You follow this move by pulling the last few brown blocks to completely erase the tree branch from the picture. Once the branch is gone the moon is totally uncovered. You now have a giant open path to finish the final color.
Step 9: Drain the final pale yellow blocks to clear the moon
You have successfully survived the connected boxes and the entire board is open for your ants. Only a large section of the pale yellow moon remains at the very top of the screen. Your tray is full of pale yellow blocks holding large numbers like sixty and twenty eight. Simply pull all the remaining pale yellow blocks into the empty waiting slots. Since they all share the exact same target color and the path is completely unobstructed the ants will flow freely. Watch the yellow ants consume the last remaining bits of the moon until the screen is completely blank. All the ants return to the hole and you officially win the level.
Final Thought
Colony Flow Level 1097 is all about managing those dangerous connected boxes and keeping your ant paths clear. If you rush your moves and pull linked blocks too early you will definitely jam your waiting slots and lose the game. Take your time and make absolutely sure every single color has an open route before you touch a chain in the tray.
