Welcome to Colony Flow Level 452. You get a really fun summer themed pixel art picture to clear today. A swimmer is taking a dip in the bright ocean under a blazing yellow sun. The board is huge and filled with multiple large sections of solid colors that take up a lot of screen space. I played this level myself and found it requires careful planning to avoid getting stuck early on. You will need to manage huge blocks of single colors without letting your tray fill up and trap you. The puzzle looks simple at first glance but the massive blocks of water can easily overwhelm your waiting slots if you pull the wrong colors too soon.
Colony Flow Level 452 Overview
What You Are Working With
The main puzzle board shows a pixel art picture of a swimmer resting in the water. The bottom half of the picture is a massive field of light blue water tiles. The center features a swimmer with a tan face and body along with dark purple hair and dark purple swimming trunks. The upper half of the board contains white fluffy clouds and dark blue sky in the top corners. A bright yellow sun sits prominently in the upper right section. Below the picture you have your tray of numbered color blocks and your ant nest hole. This level features a special mechanic called Connected Boxes. You will see a yellow block and a tan block linked together by a thick visual line in your tray. Connected Boxes must be pulled into your waiting slots as a single group and they take up two slots at once.
What It Takes to Clear Level 452 Board
You win the level by matching the right color blocks from your tray to the matching food tiles on the board until the entire picture is clear and the ants finish eating. The core challenge is managing your five waiting slots at the bottom of the screen. If you pull blocks into all five slots and the ants cannot reach the matching colors on the board you lose the level instantly. Your strategy must revolve around working from the outside edges inward. You want to make sure the colors you pull are directly accessible to the ants at all times. The interior tiles like the swimming trunks are completely blocked until you eat the water around them. When you reach the Connected Boxes you must have enough free slots to accommodate them safely without causing a jam.
Colony Flow Level 452 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Open the outer edges by clearing the dark blue sky and outer water
Your first goal is to give your ants plenty of room to work on the perimeter of the picture. Pull the first dark blue block and several light blue blocks into your active slots. You will want to pull blocks like the light blue twenty seven and the dark blue twenty five. The ants will stream out of the nest hole and immediately split up to march up the left and right sides of the board. They eat away the dark blue sky in the top corners and start chewing on the outer edges of the light blue water. You will also pull a tan twenty block here to start working on the arms of the swimmer sticking out of the water. Make sure you leave at least one waiting slot open at all times so your board does not jam up. The dark blue sky clears quickly and gives your ants a safe open path to the clouds.
Step 2: Bring out the white blocks to clear the fluffy clouds
Your active slots will now need white blocks to handle the clouds spanning the top of the picture. Pull a couple of white blocks like the twenty one and the fifteen into the tray alongside a fresh dark blue block. The ants will stream all the way up to the top border and eat the white clouds from the outside working their way toward the center. You will see the dark blue blocks count down to single digits like a two and a three as the remaining pieces of the sky disappear completely. Keep pulling white blocks as needed but do not pull too many at once. You want to make sure the ants have a clear path to every white tile before you fill your waiting slots. The top of the board will open up beautifully and reveal the sun.
Step 3: Flood the lower board with light blue blocks for the ocean
The bottom half of the picture is almost entirely light blue water. This is where you need to be extremely careful with your five slots because you can easily trap yourself if you pull the wrong colors. Pull three or four light blue blocks in a row to focus entirely on the water section. The ants will swarm the lower half of the board in a massive chaotic wave. You will see big numbers like thirty four and twenty four on your light blue blocks counting down rapidly as the ants chew through the ocean. Let the ants do their work and clear out the bulk of the water. Do not pull the dark purple blocks yet because the swimming trunks are still trapped deep inside the remaining light blue water tiles.
Step 4: Pull the connected boxes for the sun and the swimmer body
You will notice a yellow block and a tan block linked together by a visual line in your tray. These are your Connected Boxes for this level. Because they are linked you must pull them into your waiting slots as a single group. Make sure you have two completely empty slots and bring them up now. You will see a yellow twenty eight connected to a tan twenty six sit in your tray. The ants will rush to the top right to eat the yellow sun and head to the center to finish the tan skin of the swimmer. At the same time you should pull a dark purple twenty one block into a free slot. The ants will use this purple block to eat the hair on the head of the swimmer. Managing these connected boxes takes up valuable slot space so let them count down completely before pulling anything else.
Step 5: Finish the white clouds and the face of the swimmer
The connected tan block will dwindle down into single digits like a nine and a four as the ants eat the face and body of the swimmer. Pull one more white block to clear the tiny remaining piece of the cloud layer on the left side. Your ants will easily reach these tiles because you opened up the entire top of the board earlier in the run. The yellow sun will disappear completely as the yellow block hits zero. The board is now mostly empty and looks completely different from when you started. You are left with just the dark purple swimming trunks and a few scattered pieces of light blue water floating around the bottom half of the screen.
Step 6: Clear the swimming trunks and the final scattered water tiles
The very center of the board still holds the dark purple swimming trunks. Pull another dark purple block into your active slots to address this central section. Then fill the rest of your open waiting slots with your final light blue blocks. You will see massive numbers like a twenty five and a fourteen pop up for the water cleanup. The ants will charge the center to eat the trunks and then spread out widely to clean up the last few light blue water tiles. Since the water is broken up into tiny detached islands now you need plenty of ants out on the board to catch them all quickly. The dark purple block counts down and disappears. The light blue blocks finish off the final pixels and you easily win the level.
Final Thought
This level is all about pacing yourself and respecting the five waiting slots. By working from the outside edges inward you guarantee the ants always have a valid target to eat. The biggest trap is pulling the connected boxes before the sun and the swimmer are fully exposed. Just take your time and flood the board with light blue blocks when the massive water section opens up. Keep this strategy in mind and you will clear the board with no trouble.
