Welcome back to another puzzle guide. Colony Flow Level 47 presents a beautiful pixel art canvas featuring a crashing wave under a bright sunset. I play every level myself to figure out the safest path through the colored blocks so you can avoid failing. You need a solid strategy to manage the special tiles here and keep your waiting slots from jamming.
Colony Flow Level 47 Overview
What You Are Working With
The pixel art board shows a massive wave and a setting sun. The top right area consists of a vibrant orange sunset sky. The right side features a giant red sun surrounded by a bright yellow halo. The bottom half is a thick crashing wave made of dark blue water with light blue highlights and white foaming crests.
You also have two special key tiles sitting on the board. A light blue key rests on the left side of the wave. A yellow key sits dead center inside the red sun. Look down at your tray at the bottom of the screen. Two blocks are trapped behind colored padlock icons. You see one block trapped by a yellow lock and another block trapped by a blue lock. You cannot pull those trapped pieces into your five waiting slots until you collect the matching keys from the board above.
What It Takes to Clear Level 47 Board
Your main objective is surviving the tray management while digging out those keys. You win the level when the ant colony eats every last colored tile and retreats into the nest hole. You lose the level if you fill all five waiting slots with blocks that the ants cannot reach. If those slots jam with no valid open path the game ends immediately.
You have to strip away the orange sky and the white wave crests first. This gives your ants wide open walking paths to move around the board. Keep your slots partially empty so you always have room to pull a new color if a path suddenly closes. You must grab the light blue key to unlock the blue lock. Then you must drill into the red sun to grab the yellow key and break the yellow lock. Once the tray is fully unlocked you can freely clear the rest of the board.
Colony Flow Level 47 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Open the perimeter with orange and white blocks to create safe walking paths.
The tray starts with a White block carrying 25 points. Next to it are two Orange blocks holding 27 and 25 points. Tap all three of these blocks to move them up into your waiting slots. The ants pour out of the nest hole and split up across the board. They run up the far right side to eat the orange sky and wrap all the way around the top edge. Another group attacks the white wave crests on the left side of the art. You can watch the block numbers drop rapidly. The White block drops down to 23 while the Orange blocks fall to 5 and 4. This massive early clear opens up the entire perimeter of the puzzle. You must open the edges first so your ants always have a clear path to walk without dead ending the board.
Step 2: Deploy the dark blue block to carve the main wave and avoid dead ending.
You have a Dark Blue block holding 30 points ready in the tray. Pull it up into the fourth waiting slot. The dark blue tiles form the thickest part of the wave stretching across the bottom of the canvas. Because your ants just cleared the white crests they can walk right down into the deep water sections. The ants swarm the dark blue pixels and the block number ticks all the way down to 12. This action carves a massive hole right in the lower left side of the board. You need this specific hole to get your colony closer to the first key. Leaving the fifth waiting slot empty is a very smart play here. It ensures you never overfill the slots and lose the level if a path gets blocked.
Step 3: Collect the light blue key to break the first tray lock and free more pieces.
The dark blue and white ants have chewed their way right up to the light blue key sitting on the left side of the wave. Tap a Light Blue block from the tray to finish opening the path. The ants grab the surrounding tiles and free the key from the board. A bright blue beam shoots straight down from the canvas directly into your tray. The blue lock shatters instantly. This reveals a fresh White block holding 26 points. Breaking this blue lock early gives you more options in the tray. You need these extra options to prevent your waiting slots from jamming when the board gets complicated later. Always clear the path to a key as soon as you have the right colors available.
Step 4: Bring in the red block to drill into the sun and reach the final key.
Your next target is the yellow key hiding inside the red sun. Pull a Red block into the waiting slots. The ants march up the right side of the puzzle and pour directly into the red circle. The Red block holds 23 points when you pull it up. You can watch the number drop down to 10 and then down to 1 as the ants carry the red tiles away. You can pull an extra Orange block into the slots to keep the colony busy clearing the sky while the red section shrinks. Do not pull too many colors at once. If you fill all five slots before the red sun opens up you will dead end the board and fail the level immediately.
Step 5: Grab the yellow key and open the entire tray to access all your blocks.
As the red tiles vanish the yellow key becomes completely exposed on the board. The ants touch the exact spot holding the key and a yellow beam flies straight down to your tray. The yellow lock breaks and frees up the remaining trapped pieces. Every single block in your tray is now available to play. Tap a Yellow block holding 30 points to move it into the slots. The ants immediately start clearing the yellow halo surrounding the red sun. Watch the Yellow block count drop from 30 down to 18. You have successfully navigated the trickiest part of the puzzle. The board is now wide open and you have no more locked blocks holding you back.
Step 6: Push multiple colors to clear the thick middle sections without jamming the slots.
The board is broken into several smaller islands of color right now. You have plenty of space in your waiting slots to run multiple colors simultaneously. Pull up a Dark Blue block holding 24 points and a White block holding 29 points. Mix in an Orange block holding 16 points and another Yellow block holding 8 points. The ants stream out of the nest and divide into four distinct trails. One trail finishes the bottom wave. Another trail cleans up the white sea spray. The third trail eats the rest of the yellow sun ring. The last trail clears more of the orange sky. Always verify that the ants have a clear path to every color you select. If you pull a block that the ants cannot reach the block will sit in the slot forever and push you closer to losing.
Step 7: Clean up the final scattered pixels to empty the board and finish the stage.
Only a few stray tiles remain scattered on the board. You have a handful of light blue pixels on the left and a small patch of orange sky on the right. Pull your final Light Blue block holding 7 points into the slots. Follow it with a Dark Blue block holding 13 points and an Orange block holding 7 points. Add a Yellow block and a White block both holding 16 points to fill out the remaining targets. The remaining ants rush up to grab these final pieces of food. The numbers hit zero one by one and the blocks disappear from the waiting area completely. The canvas is entirely empty. The colony retreats back into the nest hole to finish the stage.
Final Thought
Level 47 teaches you how to prioritize targets under pressure. You have to ignore the bulk of the board and focus purely on digging out those special keys. If you get stuck on the timing of the tray locks just scroll up and watch the video above this article. Seeing the ants clear the paths in real time makes the lock and key logic very easy to follow.
