Welcome to Colony Flow Level 182. I am Liam Stone and I have played through every single level of this game to help you find the best solutions. This puzzle presents a beautiful pixel art scene of a white cat sleeping on a branch under a night sky. You will notice massive chocolate blocks covering large sections of the board right from the very start. Your goal is to guide your ant colony to eat all the food tiles and clear the chocolate without jamming your waiting slots. I will walk you through exactly how to feed your ants and keep the board moving so you can win. I verified every move against the in game screen so you know this strategy works perfectly.
Colony Flow Level 182 Overview
What You Are Working With
The pixel art picture in this level is very detailed. You see a sleeping white cat resting comfortably on a thick brown branch. A beautiful night sky filled with dark blue and purple tiles surrounds the cat. Bright yellow stars and a large orange moon sit right at the top border. Green and dark green leaves frame the left and right sides of the scene. Light blue tiles create a water or blanket effect just under the sleeping cat. The main obstacles in your way are two large chocolate blocks on the board. A giant chocolate block with a two hundred health count covers the right side of the cat and the branch. A smaller chocolate block with a one hundred health count blocks the bottom edge. These chocolate layers completely cover and block the food tiles underneath them. You must break them down entirely to reveal the rest of the picture. The tray at the bottom holds your colored blocks. You will use purple, green, dark blue, white, brown, light blue, orange, yellow, and pink blocks to clear this board.
What It Takes to Clear Level 182 Board
To clear this board you must uncover all the tiles trapped under the chocolate and eat every single colored pixel. You have five waiting slots available at the bottom of the screen. If you fill all five slots with blocks that have nowhere to go you lose the level instantly. The main trick here is to chip away at the exposed colors first. As you open the outer edges the ants gain clear physical access to the heavy chocolate. Breaking the chocolate opens the floodgates to the rest of the cat body and the water below it. You win the level when the entire picture vanishes and your ants safely return to their nest hole.
Colony Flow Level 182 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Clear the outer sky and leaves to reach the chocolate
Your first goal in this puzzle is to create open paths so your ants can reach the center of the board. You begin by targeting the exposed colors on the left side and the top edges. Look at your tray and pull the purple blocks and the dark blue blocks into your waiting slots. The purple ants will stream out of the nest hole and begin eating the purple night sky pixels on the left. The dark blue ants will follow right behind them to fill the gaps in the dark blue sky. Next you should pull the green blocks and the dark green blocks to tackle the leaves on the left border. This opens a massive clear space on the left side of the screen. Keeping these initial paths open ensures your blocks empty out quickly. You never want to pull blocks that have no clear path because they will sit in your slots and cause a dead end. Watch the numbers on your purple and green blocks count down to zero. The ants will bump into the large chocolate blocks as they clear the adjacent sky and leaf tiles. This physical contact prepares the board for the next major phase of the puzzle.
Step 2: Send brown and white blocks to attack the chocolate and the cat
With the left side paths totally open you can start breaking down the heavy obstacles. The chocolate blocks are the main threat on this board. The massive chocolate block covering the right side requires two hundred hits to break completely. The smaller chocolate block at the bottom needs one hundred hits. You need to send a massive wave of ants to chew through that thick chocolate layer. Pull the white blocks into your active slots to begin clearing the white cat. Then pull the brown blocks to target the wooden branch. The white ants and brown ants will swarm the board and collide directly with the massive chocolate block. You will see the big number on the chocolate drop rapidly as the ants chew through the outer layer. You can watch the number fall from two hundred down to seventy one and even lower. The smaller chocolate block at the bottom also takes heavy damage from the passing ants. You must remember to never pull too many colors at once. Let the white ants and brown ants do their heavy lifting so your waiting slots remain clear. Their relentless assault finally breaks the big chocolate block and it shatters completely.
Step 3: Reveal the covered tiles and deploy the light blue blocks
Once the giant chocolate block shatters it reveals all the tiles underneath. You will now see a large section of light blue tiles that form a blanket or pool of water right below the cat. You will also see the remaining white tiles that make up the back half of the sleeping cat. The smaller one hundred count chocolate block at the bottom also breaks during this time. This exposes even more green and light blue tiles along the bottom edge. Now you have full access to the right side of the board. Pull the light blue blocks from your tray to clear the newly opened water shapes. Add more green blocks to clean up the newly revealed leaves on the right border. The ants now have multiple open routes across the entire screen. Your board is wide open and your risk of jamming a slot is very low at this point. The light blue ants will march straight to the bottom right corner and eat those tiles rapidly. Your waiting slots will empty out very fast.
Step 4: Clean up the top right sky and the orange moon
The top of the board features yellow stars and a bright orange moon. These tiles are very far away from the nest hole at the bottom. You must pull the yellow blocks and the orange blocks to send ants all the way to the top. The yellow ants will eat the stars scattered across the sky. The orange ants will devour the orange moon pixels. You should also pull the remaining dark blue blocks and purple blocks to finish the dark night sky patches in the top right corner. The ants have very long paths to travel right now. They must walk from the bottom nest hole all the way up to the top border. This long travel time means your blocks will sit in the waiting slots for a much longer period. You must be very patient during this phase. Do not pull any extra blocks while the orange and yellow ants are walking. Let them reach their destination and eat the tiles so their blocks can empty out of the slots safely.
Step 5: Finish the cat details and the remaining leaves
The cat still has a few white tiles left around the ears and the tail. The wooden branch also has a few brown tiles lingering in the center. Pull the remaining white blocks and brown blocks from your tray. The white ants will finish the delicate details of the sleeping cat. The brown ants will eat the last pieces of the thick wood branch. You should also pull a light green block to clear the bright green leaves located near the top left and top right edges. The board looks very sparse at this moment. Large sections of the screen are completely empty. The ants have no obstacles in their way so they move very quickly to their targets. You only have a few blocks left in your tray. Keep watching your five slots to make sure they do not fill up completely.
Step 6: Clear the final scattered pixels to win the level
You are in the final stretch of the puzzle. Only a few stray tiles of various colors remain scattered across the empty board. You will pull a dark green block with a count of one and a green block with a count of one. A single ant of each color will run out to grab the very last leaf tiles on the left edge. Next you will pull a pink block to clear the remaining bright sky accents on the right side of the screen. Finally you will pull the last light blue block and the last white block from the tray. The final group of ants will march across the completely empty board. They will easily reach the final light blue and white pixels and eat them without any delay. The picture is now completely clear. Your waiting slots are totally empty. The ants will return to their nest hole and you will officially win the level.
Final Thought
This puzzle requires patience and careful slot management to break through those massive chocolate obstacles. If you take your time and let the ants chew through the barriers you will not have any trouble. I know managing the five slots can be tricky when the travel distances get long. If any step is hard to follow in text I highly encourage you to watch the video above this article. Seeing the exact moves in motion makes it very easy to understand and replicate. Good luck with the next level.
