Welcome to Colony Flow Level 165. This level presents a beautifully detailed pixel art clock tower set against a bright blue sky filled with white clouds. The board comes loaded with a deep tray of colors, a locked tile, and hidden boxes that keep you guessing. You must carefully manage your five waiting slots to avoid a jam while dismantling the tower piece by piece. I played through this level and mapped out the exact sequence to keep your ants moving and the board clear.
Colony Flow Level 165 Overview
What You Are Working With
The picture features a massive clock tower with an orange and brown structural base, a white and gold clock face, and dark grey shadow details. The background is a mix of light blue and dark blue sky along with fluffy white clouds. The tray at the bottom of the screen holds all the numbered color blocks you need to feed your colony. You have five waiting slots available to hold the blocks you pull.
This level includes a few special mechanics. Hidden Boxes conceal their true color until you clear the blocks above them or open a valid path. You also face a Lock and Key situation. A keyhole lock covers a crucial block in your tray. You cannot pull this locked block until your ants reach and eat the matching key located directly on the picture board.
What It Takes to Clear Level 165 Board
Winning this level requires you to completely clear the clock tower and the sky without ever filling all five waiting slots with blocked colors. Every time you pull a block from the tray, you must ensure the ants have an open path to eat that specific color on the board. If you pull colors that are buried behind other pixels, the ants will sit in the waiting slots. If all five slots fill up with waiting ants and no food is reachable, you lose the level instantly. You must strip away the sky and clouds to expose the outer edges of the tower, collect the key to unlock your tray, and carefully manage the flow of dark blue, light blue, white, and orange ants.
Colony Flow Level 165 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Clear the outer edges of the sky and tower base
Start by pulling the entire top row of blocks to get the colony moving. Pull the 6 dark grey, 25 orange, 26 orange, 25 light blue, and 45 dark blue blocks into your waiting slots. Since you start with exactly five empty slots, you can safely pull all of them at once. The dark blue ants will immediately swarm the left side of the sky. The light blue ants will head to the right side of the sky. The orange ants will begin eating the main structure of the tower. The dark grey ants will quickly consume the shadow details at the bottom of the tower. Because the 6 dark grey block is small, those ants finish their food very fast and free up a waiting slot for your next move.
Step 2: Activate the hidden boxes and white clouds
Once the top row is out of the tray, the second row reveals itself. Pull the 35 dark grey block to keep your dark grey ants moving along the base and roof shadows of the tower. Next, pull the 50 white block so the white ants can begin clearing the large clouds on the left side of the board. As the tray shifts upward, the Hidden Boxes reveal their colors. You will see a 35 dark blue block and a 50 brown block appear. Do not pull them immediately. Watch your waiting slots and wait for the dark grey or orange ants to finish their current tasks. Keeping at least one or two slots empty is your best defense against a dead end.
Step 3: Manage the sky and uncover the lock
As the initial wave of ants clears the lower sections of the sky, your waiting slots will empty out. When you drop down to just one or two active slots, pull the newly revealed 35 dark blue and 50 light blue blocks. This sends a fresh wave of ants to eat the remaining sky tiles. You also need to pull the 34 white and the second 50 white block to clear the clouds on the right side of the tower. Pulling these blocks exposes a locked 35 yellow block deep in the tray. You cannot use this yellow block yet. The key to this lock is resting on the right side of the tower structure in the picture. You must wait for the ants to eat their way down to that key.
Step 4: Feed the main tower structure
With the clouds disappearing and the sky thinning out, the ants now have clear access to the intricate pixels of the tower. Pull the 40 brown block and the 40 orange block from the tray. The brown and orange ants will march directly onto the tower and dismantle the heavy structural lines. As they eat away the outer layers of the tower, they will finally reach and consume the key on the board. Collecting this key instantly removes the lock from the 35 yellow block in your tray. You now have access to the colors required to dismantle the clock face.
Step 5: Clear the clock face and shadow details
The tower is now stripped down to its core elements. Pull the 75 gold block, the 50 brown block, and the freshly unlocked 35 yellow block. The yellow and gold ants will rush the glowing border of the clock face. The brown ants will continue eating the wooden framework around the clock. As the tray moves up, a 36 white block and a 7 dark grey block will appear. Pull the 36 white block to send ants directly onto the white background of the clock face. Pull the 7 dark grey block so the ants can eat the clock hands and the final shadow pixels surrounding the top spire. Ensure your white and dark grey ants have an open path before pulling these blocks.
Step 6: Finish the top sky and tower spire
Only the very top section of the picture remains. You will see a few brown pixels making up the tip of the tower, surrounded by a large chunk of dark blue and light blue sky tiles. Your waiting slots should be nearly empty by this point. Pull the 40 dark blue, the second 40 dark blue, and the 36 light blue blocks from the tray. These ants will flood the top of the board and consume the final sky pieces. Finally, pull the 35 brown block and the small 5 brown block to finish off the very tip of the tower. The ants will clear the last remaining pixels, emptying the board completely and securing your victory.
Final Thought
Level 165 tests your patience and your ability to read the board before pulling blocks. By managing your waiting slots and pacing your moves, you can easily uncover the hidden boxes and collect the key without risking a jam. If any of these steps feel hard to follow in text, I encourage you to watch the video above this article to see the exact timing of every move.
