Colony Flow Level 202 presents a detailed pixel art face resembling a familiar winter character that takes up almost the entire board. You start out completely blocked by a massive red background holding your ants back. You need to carefully manage your waiting slots while peeling away the outer layers to reach the tan face underneath.

What You Are Working With

The board displays a large pixel art character tightly packed into the center of the screen. A massive solid red border surrounds the entire figure on all sides and blocks direct access to the center. Inside this red border you will find a red hat featuring a thick white and light blue trim. The face relies on tan tiles for the skin while using dark red for the cheeks and the nose. The eyes require white and black blocks to clear. A thick white and light blue beard covers the entire bottom half of the character. You will also spot a small cluster of green leaf tiles tucked near the top right corner. Down in the tray you have a stack of numbered blocks in matching colors. You will see high number blocks with values like fifteen and twenty for the red white and light blue sections.

What It Takes to Clear Level 202 Board

You win this level by directing your ants to consume every single pixel art tile on the board. Your primary obstacle is managing the physical paths and the five waiting slots at the bottom of the screen. The ants march out from the central nest hole and require an open unbroken path to reach the matching food tiles. If you pull a tan block early it will simply sit in a waiting slot because the red background and white beard completely block all access to the tan face tiles. If blocks fill all five waiting slots and no ants can clean the board you lose the level immediately. You must peel the board systematically from the outside in to ensure you always have an active path and a free waiting slot.

Colony Flow Level 202 Step by Step Solution

Step 1: Pull red blocks first to dismantle the solid red outer background completely.

The first thing you must do is clear the solid red border surrounding the entire character. Locate a high numbered red block in your tray and pull it into an empty waiting slot. The ants will stream out of the central nest hole and start eating away the bottom edges of the red background. You will see the red block number drop rapidly as the ants carry the red food away. Keep pulling red blocks until the left and right sides of the background open up completely. Do not touch the tan or light blue blocks under any circumstances at this stage. You need to create wide open space around the outer edges so the ants can eventually bypass the beard and reach the upper sections of the hat.

Step 2: Introduce white blocks to hollow out the thick outer beard section.

Once the red background starts thinning out around the bottom you gain access to the thick white beard. Find a white block in your tray and pull it into a waiting slot. The ants will naturally split their attention between the remaining red background tiles and the newly accessible white beard tiles. This dual approach keeps your waiting slots cycling efficiently and prevents unexpected backups. Watch the numbers on your white blocks carefully as the ants work. As they drop to zero pull another white block to maintain your momentum. You want the ants to hollow out the bottom center of the board completely. This hollowing action clears away the bulk of the obstacle and brings your colony much closer to the light blue shading and the black outlines of the face.

Step 3: Target the black outlines to break the barrier protecting the inner face.

The pixel art character features thick black borders separating the hat from the face and separating the beard from the skin. Once your ants clear enough of the white and red tiles they will physically bump into these black barriers. Pull a black block into an open waiting slot. The ants will march up the newly opened sides of the board and begin dismantling the black outlines. Clearing these black tiles is absolutely critical because they act like a solid wall protecting the tan face tiles inside. Make sure you always leave at least one or two waiting slots completely empty for other colors while the black block counts down. This guarantees you have a backup plan if the ants temporarily lose their path to the black tiles.

Step 4: Clear the green leaf accent on the upper right side to free that corner.

As the right side of the board opens up your ants will finally secure a clear path to the green leaf detail located near the top right of the hat. Search your tray for a green block and pull it into an available waiting slot. Since this green section is very small a single green block with a low number will easily take care of it. Watch the ants climb up the far right edge and consume the green tiles in a matter of seconds. Finishing this small section early prevents you from getting stuck with an unused green block clogging your tray later in the game. It also successfully exposes the upper right edge of the red hat for your next series of moves.

Step 5: Pull dark red blocks to consume the hat and the rosy cheeks.

With the black outlines breaking apart and the green leaves totally gone you can shift your focus to the dark red sections. These dark red tiles make up the bulk of the hat and create the rosy cheeks right in the middle of the face. Pull a dark red block into your waiting area. You will notice the ants swarming the top half of the board to eat the hat tiles while simultaneously pushing into the middle of the face to clear the cheeks. Keep a very close eye on your waiting slots during this phase. If the dark red block number stops moving it means the ants temporarily lost their path to the remaining red tiles. You must immediately pull a white or light blue block to clear out the blocking tiles and get the dark red block moving again.

Step 6: Work through the light blue beard shading and the fluffy hat trim.

The beard and the fluffy hat trim rely heavily on light blue blocks. By this point in the level the solid white sections are mostly gone leaving behind only the light blue shading. Pull a light blue block from the tray to send your ants deep into these shaded areas. You will see them rapidly clearing the bottom sections of the beard and carving out the trim on the left side of the hat. The pixel art on the board will start looking significantly smaller and fragmented now. You are effectively carving away the remaining outer details to leave nothing but the central face behind. Never pull more than two light blue blocks at the same time to ensure you have plenty of room for the upcoming tan face blocks.

Step 7: Flood the board with tan blocks to rapidly devour the central face.

The central face consists almost entirely of tan skin tiles. With the beard and the hat outlines largely out of the way your ants finally possess direct access to the center of the board. You can now safely start pulling your tan blocks from the tray. You have several tan blocks with high numbers available at the bottom of the screen. Bring them directly into your open waiting slots. The ants will pour straight into the middle of the board and rapidly eat away the large block of tan face tiles. The numbers on your tan blocks will drop incredibly quickly because the path is now wide open and the tan tiles are grouped very tightly together. Keep feeding tan blocks into the slots until the entire face disappears.

Step 8: Perform a careful final cleanup on the remaining scattered mixed tiles.

The last phase of the level leaves you with a scattered handful of different colored tiles completely disconnected from each other. You will likely see a few leftover white eye tiles along with a couple of dark red cheek tiles and maybe an isolated piece of the light blue hat trim. Look closely at the exact remaining colors on the board and carefully pull the matching blocks one by one. Only pull a block if you clearly see its matching color remaining on the grid. Pulling a color that is no longer on the board will permanently lock that waiting slot and risk a very frustrating loss right at the finish line. Wait patiently for the ants to carry away the very last tile to finish the level and secure your victory.

Final Thought

Level 202 requires intense patience at the beginning but moves very quickly once you finally break through that massive red background. Take your time and always verify that your ants have an open path before pulling a new color into your tray.
