Colony Flow Level 43 drops a massive round pink character onto your screen surrounded by a thick blue background. You have to chew through hundreds of pixels to clear this board. The layout starts incredibly tight with only the bottom edge available for your ants to reach. I will walk you through exactly how I clear this level without ever clogging the tray.
Colony Flow Level 43 Overview
What You Are Working With
The picture is a giant pixel art character. You will see a huge light pink body with dark pink shoes and cheeks. A heavy black outline separates the character from the light blue background. The character has large eyes made of white and blue pixels. Your tray is packed with blocks holding very high numbers. You have blocks with thirty five and thirty counts in light pink and light blue. You also have a hidden box sitting near the bottom row of your tray. This box keeps its color locked away until you remove the blocks sitting above it.
What It Takes to Clear Level 43 Board
You have to manage your five waiting slots perfectly to beat this level. If you pull a color that your ants cannot reach the block will just sit there and waste a slot. If all five slots fill up with unreachable colors you lose the game immediately. You must peel the picture away from the bottom up. The bottom edge is your only starting point. You will clear the shoes and the lower background to expose the black outline. Breaking the black outline opens the floodgates to the giant pink body. You will cycle your tray through body colors and background colors until you reach the top edge.
Colony Flow Level 43 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Start with the bottom background and the shoes.
The very bottom of the board is the only area open to your ants right now. You can only access the light blue background corners and the dark pink shoes. Look at the top row of your tray and select the dark pink blocks and the light blue blocks. The dark pink blocks send a stream of ants straight up into the center to eat the shoes. The light blue blocks send ants to the bottom left and bottom right corners to clear the lower background. Do not touch any black blocks or light pink blocks at this stage. Pulling a black block now is a fatal mistake because the black outline is fully blocked by the shoes. Your ants would have no path to the black pixels and the block would sit dead in your slot. Let the dark pink and light blue numbers drain completely to carve out your initial opening. This early patience guarantees your success.
Step 2: Break through the bottom black outline.
Once the dark pink shoes vanish you will finally see the black outline exposed. This black border protects the entire pink body and you must breach it to proceed. Now is the exact time to pull a black block from your tray. Bring a black block into your waiting slots so the ants can march up the center and start chewing away the black border. You want to maintain a steady flow on the sides too. Keep feeding light blue blocks into the slots to clear more of the side background. Balancing the center outline with the side background keeps your ants moving on two fronts. This guarantees your slots never jam while you wait for the outline to break open. The wider you make the bottom opening the easier the rest of the level becomes.
Step 3: Attack the massive light pink body.
Breaking that bottom black outline gives your ants direct access to the main character. The light pink body takes up the vast majority of the board and holds the most pixels. You have multiple light pink blocks with very high numbers waiting in your tray. Start pulling these light pink blocks up into your slots. A huge swarm of ants will flood into the center of the board and fan out in all directions. They will eat the light pink pixels incredibly fast because the surface area is so wide. Watch your waiting slots closely during this phase. The light pink blocks will empty out quickly as the swarm devours the body. The moment one light pink block empties you need to pull another one to keep the momentum going. Never let the center of the board sit idle when you have clear paths available.
Step 4: Clear the dark pink cheeks and expand the sides.
While your main swarm eats the center of the body the sides of the character will begin to open up. You will uncover dark pink pixels that make up the cheeks of the character. Find another dark pink block in your tray and pull it up. Your ants will split off from the main group and clear these cheek sections. At the same time your background ants are working their way higher up the left and right edges. Continue pulling light blue blocks whenever a slot opens up. Managing the background and the facial details at the same time prevents blockages. If you ignore the light blue background your tray will eventually clog with too many light blue blocks. You always want to pull from both sides of your tray to keep your options open.
Step 5: Unlock the eyes with the white and blue blocks.
As the ants eat upward through the face they will hit the large eyes right in the middle of the head. The eyes consist of white gleams and blue pupils. Look in your tray for a small white block with the number four. Pull this white block up the second the white pixels become exposed. You will also need to pull the blue block to clear the pupils. Clearing these small details fast is crucial for maintaining a good flow. If you leave the eyes blocking the path your ants will struggle to reach the upper sections of the head. Wipe out the eyes completely to maintain a wide open path to the top outline. The fewer obstacles you have in the center the better your ants will navigate the board.
Step 6: Alternate between the upper body and the top outline.
The top half of the character gets much narrower as you approach the top of the head. You still have light pink pixels to clear but you will also hit the upper black outline. Pull another black block to let your ants chew on this inner black border. You will likely have a mix of light pink and black blocks active in your slots at the same time. This is a very safe strategy here because both colors are fully exposed to the swarm. The ants will stream out continuously to eat both colors simultaneously without bumping into dead ends. This dual action keeps your tray numbers counting down rapidly and prevents any stagnant blocks. Moving multiple colors at once is the best way to burn through high number blocks.
Step 7: Reveal and use the hidden box.
Deep down in your tray you have a hidden box marked with a question mark. You need to free this box so you can see what color you are working with. Pull the black block and the light blue block sitting directly above it. Once those blocks move into the waiting slots the hidden box will reveal its true color. Pull the revealed box into a waiting slot as soon as you have the board space for it. Handling the hidden box early prevents it from becoming a trap later on. You always want to know your exact color inventory as you approach the final rows of the board. Leaving unknown blocks in your tray restricts your planning and can lead to a sudden loss.
Step 8: Finish the top background and clear the board.
The very top of the board is a solid block of light blue background pixels spanning from left to right. You will also have a few leftover black pixels from the very top of the character outline. Look at your tray and pull your final light blue blocks. One of them is a massive block holding the number forty two. Bring it up into the slots. The ants will march all the way to the top edge and sweep horizontally across the remaining light blue background. Pull your final black block to wipe out the last bit of the head outline. The ants will clear every remaining pixel. The board will completely clear and you will win the level with empty waiting slots.
Final Thought
Level 43 requires patience at the very beginning to open up the board. Once you break the black outline the pace picks up significantly. Keep your tray balanced between background colors and body colors and you will easily secure the win.
