Welcome to Colony Flow Level 14 where you need to manage a massive swarm of ants to break through a giant pixel art picture of two cherries. This puzzle looks simple at first glance but managing the different colors takes some careful planning. You must clear the dark purple outline completely before you can reach the massive amount of red fruit inside. I play every level myself and write these guides to help you win without getting stuck. Let us dive right into the best way to beat this exact puzzle.

Colony Flow Level 14 Overview

What You Are Working With

The picture for this level features two large cherries resting side by side. The main body of the fruit consists of red tiles. Inside the red fruit you will find small patches of white tiles that act as shiny reflection spots. A dark purple outline wraps around the entire bottom and sides of the fruit. This same dark purple color forms the stems that connect the cherries to a large green leaf at the top of the board.

Your tray at the bottom of the screen holds three columns of numbered blocks. The left column holds massive red blocks and some dark purple blocks. The middle column holds a mix of dark purple and red blocks. The right column gives you access to the green blocks and the white blocks. A single nest hole sits between the tray and the picture. The paths branch out left and right from this hole to surround the entire picture. The ants will take the shortest open path to reach their matching color tiles.

Level 14 Objective

You win the level when every single tile in the cherry picture is cleared and the final ant leaves the board. You must accomplish this without filling the five waiting slots located just above your tray. If you pull a block and the ants cannot find a valid path to their matching tiles, they will stand still in the waiting slot. If you fill all five slots with trapped ants, the game ends immediately and you lose. You must constantly monitor the open paths and only pull blocks when their specific color is ready to be eaten.

Colony Flow Level 14 Step by Step Solution

Step 1: Attack the bottom outline of the cherries with dark purple ants.

You must start by breaking the thick outer shell that protects the main fruit. Tap the nineteen dark purple block and a small dark purple block from your tray to send them into the waiting slots. The dark purple ants will stream out of the nest hole and march straight up the middle path to hit the bottom edge of the cherries. As they eat the outline they open up small gaps that expose the red tiles underneath. You can pull one of the smaller red blocks to help clear the very bottom edges, but do not flood the board with red just yet. Keep your focus on carving away that dark purple barrier so your future red ants do not get stuck waiting in the slots.

Step 2: Deploy green ants to begin clearing the top leaf.

You need to get the green leaf moving early because the green ants have a very long path to travel. Tap a green block from the right column of your tray. The green ants will emerge from the nest hole and march all the way up the far right edge of the screen. They will bypass the main fruit completely and begin eating the right side of the green leaf. Pulling the green block now gets those ants out of the waiting slots and keeps your tray flowing. The long travel time means you can safely leave them to work while you turn your attention back to the main fruit body.

Step 3: Flood the board with red blocks once the outline breaks open.

This step requires bold action because the dark purple outline is finally broken enough to expose massive walls of red tiles. You will tap multiple heavy red blocks from the tray in rapid succession. Pull the nineteen red block, the twenty one red block, the thirty red block, and the twenty five red block into your waiting slots. Filling four out of your five slots feels dangerous but the massive exposed red surface area guarantees these ants will not get stuck. The red ants swarm the entire left and right sides of the fruit simultaneously. The numbers on your red blocks will drain incredibly fast as the ants tear through the massive cherry bodies.

Step 4: Send white ants to clear the fruit reflection spots.

With a huge portion of the red tiles missing, the white shiny reflection tiles are now fully exposed. Tap the five white block from the right column of your tray. The white ants will run straight into the center of the remaining red fruit and clear out those small white sections. You must clear these white tiles the exact moment they become available. Leaving them trapped inside the remaining red pieces can block your red ants from finishing their meal and cause a slot jam later. Once the white tiles vanish you have a completely clear path to finish the rest of the red fruit.

Step 5: Clear the connecting stems with more dark purple ants.

The main body of the fruit is nearly gone and you must now deal with the stems connecting the cherries to the leaf. Pull the remaining dark purple blocks from your tray. The ants will climb up through the empty space left by the fruit and attack the dark purple stems. At the same time you should pull the remaining large red blocks to clean up the last few floating red tiles. The board opens up entirely at this point. The ants have direct straight paths to their targets and will quickly consume the stems and the remaining cherry borders.

Step 6: Mop up the final scattered pixels to win the level.

screenshot

The board now contains only a handful of scattered red pixels and a small chunk of the green leaf. Look at your tray and pull the final green blocks and the last remaining red blocks. The final green ants will finish the top left corner of the leaf while the last few red ants hunt down the stray red pixels near the bottom. Keep pulling the remaining blocks until the tray is totally empty. The waiting slots will drain completely as the final ants clear the very last pixel from the screen.

Overall Strategy to Clear Level 14 Board

Focus entirely on the dark purple outline during your opening moves. The red fruit is gigantic but completely blocked by that outer shell. If you pull heavy red blocks before the dark purple outline is broken, the red ants will trap themselves in the waiting slots and end your run early. Be patient and chip away the dark purple edge first.

Time your green block pulls carefully to account for travel distance. The green ants must walk around the entire right side of the cherry picture to reach the leaf at the very top. You want to pull a green block early enough to keep the right side of your tray moving but you must make sure you do not pull too many and clog your slots. One green block at a time works perfectly.

Take advantage of the massive red surface area to drain your heavy red blocks fast. Once the outline breaks you can safely pull multiple giant red blocks at once. The ants will attack from the bottom, the left, and the right simultaneously. Flooding the board with red ants is the only way to clear enough space to reach the white tiles buried inside.

Never ignore the white reflection tiles when they become exposed. They sit directly in the middle of the red fruit. If you pull a red block and the red ants hit a wall of white tiles, they will stop and jam your slots. Clear the five white tiles the instant your red ants uncover them. This keeps the red paths completely smooth for the rest of the level.

Final Thought

Colony Flow Level 14 tests your ability to hold back heavy blocks until their paths actually open up. Breaking the dark purple shell teaches you a valuable lesson in timing and slot management. If you struggle to visualize the exact moment to unleash the heavy red blocks or how to route the green ants around the side, you should watch the video above this article. Seeing the ants swarm the board in real time will help you master the timing and clear the cherries with ease.
