What You Are Working With

The puzzle board displays a vibrant pixel art picture of a mountain sunset over water. You see a dark red and brown mountain on the left and another mountain on the right. A yellow and orange sunset fills the sky between them with light blue clouds sitting at the very top. Two Hungry Doors block the middle of the board. The left Hungry Door demands 50 brown tiles before it will open. The right Hungry Door demands a massive 155 white tiles. You will also spot a yellow key resting on the left mountain and a blue key sitting on the right mountain. Down in your tray you have a mix of single colored blocks and connected boxes. Some blocks in your tray have yellow and blue locks on them. You cannot play those locked blocks until you guide the ants to the matching keys on the board.

What It Takes to Clear Level 460 Board

You win this level by clearing every single colored tile from the mountain sunset picture. The ants march out of their nest at the bottom and follow open paths to eat the tiles that match the blocks you pull into the five waiting slots. The primary danger comes from those five slots. If you pull too many blocks and fill all five slots without providing an open path for the ants to reach those specific colors, the board jams and you lose the game immediately. You clear the board by constantly balancing the colors you pull. You must always ensure the ants have a clear path to at least one active color on the board. You also need to feed the Hungry Doors the exact number of tiles they require so they disappear and open up new sections of the picture.

Colony Flow Level 460 Step by Step Solution

Step 1: Open the bottom boundary to let the ants access the main mountains.

You start by clearing the very bottom edge of the board to give your ants room to spread out. Pull the 15 dark red block and the connected 21 brown and 18 pink blocks from your tray. Connected boxes take up multiple slots in your waiting area so you have to play them carefully. The ants stream out of the nest hole and immediately start chewing away the dark red and brown tiles along the bottom water reflection. This action creates a wide open path across the lower perimeter of the picture. The left Hungry Door counter drops from 50 to 39 as the ants consume those initial brown tiles.

Step 2: Feed white tiles to the right door while attacking the left mountain.

You need to start working on the massive 155 requirement for the right Hungry Door early. Pull the white blocks from your tray to send ants up the middle paths toward the white clouds and water reflections. The ants eat the white tiles and drop the right door counter down to 144 and then to 98. At the same time you should pull the 28 light blue block and the 35 light red block. The ants will use these colors to chew higher up the left mountain side. Keep an eye on your waiting slots and never pull a new block until one of the current blocks finishes counting down to zero and disappears.

Step 3: Collect the yellow key from the left mountain side.

Your next goal is reaching the yellow key located halfway up the left side of the picture. Pull the connected 20 brown block and the 3 white block into your waiting slots. The ants clear the remaining brown tiles around the left side which drops the left Hungry Door counter down to 38 and then 31. Once the surrounding tiles vanish the ants walk over the yellow key and collect it. Grabbing this key instantly unlocks all the yellow locked blocks down in your tray. You now have access to a huge supply of yellow blocks to help clear the sunset sky.

Step 4: Break through the right mountain to grab the blue key.

You now turn your attention to the right side of the board where the blue key sits. The right mountain consists heavily of dark purple and dark red tiles. Pull the 15 dark purple block and the 19 dark red block from your tray. The ants march up the right side and clear away the dark purple sections. This clears a direct path to the blue key. The ants grab the blue key and unlock the blue lock blocks in your tray. With both keys collected you finally have full access to every color block you need to finish the puzzle.

Step 5: Finish feeding the left hungry door to open the center space.

The left Hungry Door only needs a few more tiles to open completely. Pull the remaining brown blocks from your tray along with the connected orange block. The ants swarm the left mountain and eat the final brown tiles required. The left door counter drops from 18 to zero and the door vanishes from the board. This creates a massive shortcut right through the middle of the picture. Your ants can now reach the top sections of the sky much faster without walking all the way around the outer edges.

Step 6: Clear the yellow sunset and right mountain peaks.

With the middle open you can start pulling the yellow blocks you unlocked earlier. Pull the 40 yellow block and the 38 yellow block. The ants rush up the middle path and devour the bright yellow sunset tiles. You should also pull the 23 dark red block to let the ants finish off the top peaks of the right mountain. Your waiting slots will stay clear because the ants have multiple wide open paths to reach these colors. The right Hungry Door counter continues to drop as you expose and clear more scattered white tiles along the edges.

Step 7: Satisfy the right hungry door and clear the blue sky.

The right Hungry Door is the last major obstacle on the board. You pull the final 91 white block to send the ants straight to the top layers of clouds. The right door counter plummets to 26 and then hits zero causing the door to disappear. You follow this by pulling the 30 light blue block and the 28 light blue block to clear the very top row of the sky. The ants form a long line across the top border and eat the blue tiles from left to right. The picture is now mostly empty space.

Step 8: Clean up the final scattered pieces to win the game.

You only have a handful of random tiles left on the board. A small cluster of tan tiles sits near the top right and a few dark purple pieces remain on the far right edge. Pull the 10 tan block and the final 17 dark purple block into your tray. The ants rush across the empty white space to grab these last remaining pieces. Make sure you pull the final 23 pink block to clear the tiny remaining cluster at the bottom right. The ants consume the last piece of the mountain and run off the screen to complete the puzzle.

Final Thought

This level requires constant attention to the Hungry Door counters and the connected blocks in your tray. Balancing your moves to grab the two keys early prevents your waiting slots from jamming later in the puzzle. If you find any step difficult to visualize you should watch the video above this article to see exactly how the ants navigate the board.
