Welcome to another puzzle guide. I am Liam Stone and today we are clearing Colony Flow Level 263. This level presents a large pixel art yellow mouse face with red cheeks. You have a lot of tiles to clear and a very crowded tray. You must manage your five waiting slots perfectly to avoid a dead end. I played this level myself and I will show you the exact steps to win.
Colony Flow Level 263 Overview
What You Are Working With
The picture on the board is a giant yellow mouse face. It has a thick black outline, a large yellow interior, a red mouth, and round red cheeks. The background is completely filled with white tiles. At the very top center of the board rests a red block with the number twenty. This block is trapped in the grid and will drop down to your tray once you clear the tiles beneath it. You will also notice a Lock and Key mechanism on the board. A blue key sits on the left cheek and a yellow key sits on the right cheek.
Your starting tray at the bottom holds white, black, and yellow blocks. As you pull these blocks, you will reveal a blue lock and a yellow lock in the tray. These locks block the tiles beneath them. You cannot use those locked blocks until your ants collect the matching keys from the board.
What It Takes to Clear Level 263 Board
You win this level by clearing every single tile from the picture without filling your five waiting slots with blocks that have no open paths. You must feed the right colors at the right time. Your white ants will chew through the background. Your black ants will trace the outline. Your yellow ants will clear the massive face. You need to drop the red block from the top so you can spawn red ants to clear the cheeks. Finally you must collect the keys to unlock the remaining blocks in your tray. Once the last tile vanishes and the ants return to the nest, the level is complete.
Colony Flow Level 263 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: You start the flow by pulling your primary colors into the tray.
You begin the level by pulling the first three available blocks into your waiting slots. You tap the initial white thirty block, the black thirty five block, and the yellow forty block. Your white ants stream out to attack the bottom corners of the white background. The black ants start eating the bottom chin outline. The yellow ants march straight into the bottom center of the yellow face. You now have three active paths working at the same time. This action keeps your slots from jamming from the very start. Watching the ants split into three directions gives you a clear visual of the paths you need to maintain.
Step 2: You keep the white and yellow ants moving up the board.
As your first blocks count down, your tray shifts and reveals more options. You will see a yellow lock and a blue lock appear over some blocks in the tray. You must ignore the locks for now since you do not have the keys. You pull the next yellow block and the next white block into your waiting slots. The yellow ants spread wider across the face. They move up toward the eyes and the cheeks. The white ants continue up the left and right sides of the background. You always make sure a white path and a yellow path remain open so these high number blocks do not stall in your slots.
Step 3: You maintain the black outline path to prevent a dead end.
You need to keep the black outline shrinking continuously. The black tiles form a strict border that separates the yellow face from the white background. If you leave the black tiles alone, they will eventually block your white and yellow ants from reaching higher rows. You pull another black block into the slots to prevent this dead end. The black ants work their way up the outer edges of the face toward the long ears. This steady progress ensures your other colors always have fresh tiles to eat.
Step 4: You expose the keys resting on the red cheeks.
Your yellow ants are now reaching the middle section of the face. You pull another yellow block into your slots to keep the momentum going strong. The yellow ants eat around the red cheeks and the red mouth. This specific action gets them very close to the blue key on the left cheek and the yellow key on the right cheek. You want to clear as much yellow around these keys as possible. You are setting up the board so your ants can easily grab those keys the moment the red tiles are cleared.
Step 5: You drop the trapped red block from the top of the picture.
You watch the top center of the board as your yellow and black ants do their heavy lifting. They are actively eating the tiles directly underneath the trapped red block. Once the supporting tiles vanish, gravity takes over immediately. The red twenty block falls straight down from the picture and lands in your tray. You now have the exact block you need to handle the red cheeks and the mouth. You wait for a spot to open in your five waiting slots before you tap it so you do not crowd your active colors.
Step 6: You deploy the red ants to clear the cheeks and mouth.
You tap the newly acquired red block to send it into your waiting slots. The red ants pour out of the nest and rush straight to the face. They consume the red tiles making up the mouth and the two round cheeks. This is a very fast process because there are exactly twenty red tiles on the board. The red block counts down to zero and disappears from your slots in a matter of seconds. This clears a huge physical roadblock and frees up valuable space in your tray for the final push.
Step 7: You collect the blue key and the yellow key.
With the red cheeks completely gone, you fully expose the blue key and the yellow key. Your yellow ants clear the final yellow tiles underneath them. The keys fly down from the board and strike the tray. The blue key shatters the blue lock instantly. The yellow key shatters the yellow lock right after. You now have full access to the hidden white and black blocks that were trapped underneath. This perfectly times with your need to clear the upper sections of the board.
Step 8: You push your ants into the upper background and the ears.
Now that your tray is fully unlocked, you pull a fresh white block and a fresh black block into your slots. The white ants surge into the top left and top right corners of the background. The black ants rush up to finish the outlines of the two long pointed ears. You must manage your slots carefully here. You do not pull too many blocks at once. You let the white and black ants clear their paths so they do not jam your slots near the end of the level.
Step 9: You fill in the remaining yellow ears with your ants.
The only major section left is the yellow interior of the ears. You pull your remaining yellow blocks into the slots. The yellow ants march up the sides of the head and fill the ear cavities. You watch the numbers on your blocks drop quickly. You have plenty of open paths so the ants move without stopping. You keep your eyes on the tray and only pull the final white blocks when you are sure the white ants have a clear route to the top edge of the board.
Step 10: You finish the final tiles to win the level.
You are down to the very last few tiles. The tray is almost completely empty. You have one white block and one black block left to use. You tap them into the slots when a space opens up. The black ants consume the very tips of the ears. The white ants eat the final row of white background at the top boundary. The last block hits zero and vanishes. The remaining ants return to the nest hole. The board is completely clear and you win the level.
Final Thought
Level 263 requires patience and a good eye for timing. You must manage the initial colors smoothly to drop the red block and eventually unlock your tray. You do not rush your moves or you will fill your waiting slots with nowhere to go. If you find any of these steps tricky to visualize in text form, you should watch the video above this article. Seeing the ants clear the paths in real time will help you master the flow.
