Colony Flow Level 97 brings a major challenge that forces you to plan every single move you make. You will face a beautiful pixel art pattern completely locked down by four giant numbered wooden boxes. You have to peel back the outer layers of food tiles before the ants can even touch those main targets. The visual clutter makes it hard to see where the actual open paths begin. I played this level carefully to find the exact order of operations that keeps the slots clear and the ants moving. I know exactly how frustrating it gets when the tray jams right at the end. I wrote this guide to help you get past the massive numbers and reach the finish line.
Colony Flow Level 97 Overview
What You Are Working With
This board puts four massive wooden boxes right in the main path. They sit heavy over the four corners of the central pattern. The top left box requires 60 light blue hits. The top right box requires 15 dark purple hits. The bottom left box demands a massive 120 yellow hits. The bottom right box needs 100 red hits. Surrounding these heavy boxes is a tight geometric pattern of red, dark purple, pink, and light blue food tiles. Your ants stream from a black nest hole at the very bottom center of the screen. Down in the tray below you have dozens of colored numbered blocks stacked on top of each other. You will see dark purple blocks holding numbers like 32 and 36. You will also notice a hidden box in the tray that conceals its color completely until you clear the blocks resting on top of it.
What It Takes to Clear Level 97 Board
To clear the Level 97 board you must systematically tear down the outer borders to expose the giant wooden structures. You pull blocks into your five waiting slots to command your ants. Your colony will march out and consume matching tiles to lower the numbers on your blocks. You win by feeding the colony the correct sequence of colors to chip away the outer borders first. This action opens the physical walking paths to the giant wooden boxes. Breaking those wooden boxes represents the biggest hurdle. The true challenge comes when the giant boxes finally shatter because they reveal an entirely new dense layer of food tiles hiding underneath. You must keep the five waiting slots flowing perfectly from the first move to the very last. If you pull a color block and the ants cannot find a matching tile on an open path the block will just sit there. If all five slots fill up with stuck blocks you instantly lose the level.
Colony Flow Level 97 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Start feeding the outer border colors to open space.
You need to create immediate walking space for the ants near the bottom nest hole. Look closely at the very bottom edges of the main pattern. You will see loose red and dark purple tiles completely exposed to the nest. Pull a dark purple block and a pink block up to your waiting slots. The ants will immediately march up the screen and begin eating the loose tiles bordering the giant wooden structures. You want to cycle these early dark purple and pink blocks quickly. Do not touch the other colors yet. Keep an eye on your five waiting slots and make sure the numbers are constantly counting down. You want to pull just enough blocks to keep the ants busy without crowding your slots.
Step 2: Chip away at the heavy red box on the bottom right.
This massive wooden box requires 100 red hits to break. Once you clear the loose border tiles around it your ants gain a direct open path to the box itself. Start pulling your large red blocks from the tray. You have several blocks holding big numbers in the thirties. Pull them up and watch the huge red number drop from 100 down to 70. A massive swarm of red ants will dominate the right side of the screen. Do not pull other colors during this phase because the ants are completely focused on chewing down the red box. Keeping your attention on this single quadrant prevents your slots from jamming with colors the ants cannot currently reach.
Step 3: Bring down the huge yellow structure on the bottom left.
This box is the absolute largest obstacle on the board and needs 120 yellow hits to break. As your ants continue to work on the right side you should start mixing in yellow blocks from the tray. Pull a yellow block to get things moving. The colony will intelligently split its attention. Some ants will keep attacking the red box on the right while a fresh wave swarms the bottom left to eat the yellow box. You will see the massive yellow requirement drop steadily into the eighties. Always ensure you have at least one active color working perfectly so your waiting slots remain safe and clear.
Step 4: Manage the hidden tray blocks and clear the bottom structures.
As you use up the visible blocks from the bottom tray you will expose a special hidden box. This gray question mark box reveals new colors when you clear the blocks sitting around it. In this level it reveals a large light blue block carrying the number 42. Hold off on pulling that light blue block for now. The path to the top left light blue box is not ready. Instead you must pull the remaining red and yellow blocks needed to finish off the bottom two wooden structures. Feed the final red and yellow blocks into your slots. When those numbers hit exactly zero the heavy wooden boxes will shatter and vanish from the board.
Step 5: Tackle the top left light blue structure.
With the entire bottom half of the board mostly clear your ants can travel much further up the screen. The top left box requires 60 light blue hits. Now is the perfect time to pull that large 42 light blue block you just uncovered in the tray. Send it up to the waiting slots along with any other light blue blocks you find. A very long line of ants will journey all the way up the left side of the screen to devour the light blue box. You will see its number drop rapidly into the twenties. Keep feeding light blue blocks until that box shatters completely.
Step 6: Clear the scattered tiles blocking the top right.
The board looks much emptier now but you still have a problem. You have scattered pink, light green, and dark purple tiles floating in the upper center of the board. These loose tiles completely block the final wooden structure on the top right. Pull a pink block and a light green block up to your slots. The ants will rush in and clear out this scattered debris. You must remove these specific floating tiles because the ants need a perfectly clear walking path to reach the dark purple box sitting deep in the upper right corner.
Step 7: Break the final dark purple structure.
This final top right box requires 15 dark purple hits. Once the middle debris is totally gone you have a clear shot. Pull your dark purple blocks from the tray. The ants will swarm the top right corner of the board. You will watch the dark purple requirement drop from 15 down to 12 and then down to 7. Keep feeding dark purple blocks into your slots until the box shatters. You might think you have won the level at this exact moment but the game has a major surprise waiting for you.
Step 8: Reveal and begin clearing the hidden bottom layer.
Breaking the fourth and final giant wooden structure exposes a completely new and dense layer of food tiles hiding underneath. A vibrant new pattern of red, yellow, dark purple, and light green tiles instantly appears right in the center of the board. Do not panic when this happens. Just treat it like a brand new puzzle. Look at the exposed edges of this new shape. Pull your remaining dark purple and pink blocks to start eating away the outer edges of this fresh central pattern. Make sure every block you pull matches an open tile on the new shape.
Step 9: Finish off the new central layer to win.
This final layer requires you to be extremely careful with your waiting slots. You only have a few blocks left in the tray and one wrong pull will end your game. Pull an orange block and a light green block up to the slots. Look at the board to ensure the ants have a clear path to the orange and green tiles in the remaining pattern. The ants will rapidly disassemble this final geometric shape. They will carry the last pieces back to the nest hole. Keep feeding the exact colors you see on the screen until the very last tile vanishes and the victory screen appears.
Final Thought
Make sure to stay patient and take this board one section at a time. The multiple hidden layers can definitely catch you off guard if you rush your block pulls.
