Colony Flow Level 120 gives you a beautiful pixel art portrait to dismantle. You need to clear a girl with bright pink hair wearing a yellow jacket while navigating a very restricted tray. I played this level multiple times to nail down the exact sequence of block pulls so you never run out of space. I will show you exactly how to sequence your moves to keep your paths open and beat the board.

What You Are Working With

The picture at the top of your screen shows a detailed character portrait. The character has bright pink hair with dark purple shading. She wears a yellow jacket over a white and blue shirt. Her eyes are a striking orange and the entire portrait sits against a yellow and orange background. Look down at the tray at the bottom of your screen. You will see blocks loaded with numbers in yellow, pink, purple, black, and orange. You will also notice a special tile mechanic right away. Two of the orange blocks are connected boxes. They have a physical link joining them together. These connected boxes pull into your waiting slots as a single group but they take up two entire spaces. The ants must clear all the orange tiles to remove these linked boxes from your tray.

What It Takes to Clear Level 120 Board

Winning this board requires extremely careful slot management. You start the game with five empty waiting slots at the bottom of your screen. However the connected orange boxes will quickly take up two of those slots as soon as you pull them from the tray. This leaves you with only three usable slots for the vast majority of the game. If you pull the wrong colors and fill those last three slots without an open path to the board you will lose immediately. The tray will jam and the ants will have nowhere to go. You must peel the colored tiles away layer by layer from the outside in. You clear the outer yellow background first to open up the edges. Then you carefully pick apart the pink face and purple hair. You save the heavy black outline blocks for the very end. You must always watch the board to ensure at least one active color has open access to its matching tiles. Never rush your pulls.

Colony Flow Level 120 Step by Step Solution

Step 1: Pull the yellow blocks to clear the outer background.

Start your game by focusing on the yellow background occupying the top corners of the picture. Pull the yellow block with 24 and the yellow block with 30 from the tray. Yellow ants will stream out of the nest hole and travel up the far left and right edges of the open board. They systematically eat away the solid background tiles. During this initial phase you also pull the connected orange boxes from the tray. These two linked orange blocks slide into your first and second waiting slots. Because the orange background tiles are blocked by the yellow tiles the orange ants cannot reach their targets yet. The connected boxes will sit idle in your tray. You now have only three empty slots to work with. You must be very careful about your next color choices.

Step 2: Send pink ants to chew through the face tiles.

You need to pick colors that have immediate access to the open white space on the board. Pull the pink block with 19 and the pink block with 37 into your available slots. The pink ants will rush out and start dismantling the light pink skin tiles on the face of the character. The ants attack the lower section of the chin and cheeks first. Watch the numbers on your pink blocks as the ants consume the tiles. You want these blocks to empty completely so they vanish from your waiting slots. Do not pull any other colors from the tray until you see one of your active pink blocks reach a very low number. This guarantees you maintain a safe open slot and prevents a board lock.

Step 3: Bring up the purple blocks to target the hair shading.

As the pink ants clear the face they expose the dark purple shading in the hair. Now you have a clear path for a brand new color. Pull the purple block with 31 and the purple block with 27 from the tray. The purple ants will march up through the cleared face area and begin eating the textured hair tiles. The hair covers a massive portion of this board and features many overlapping colors. You will need to cycle through multiple purple and pink blocks to break it all down completely. Alternate between pulling pink blocks and purple blocks based on which color currently touches the open background space. Keep ignoring the connected orange boxes sitting quietly in your first two slots. They still have no open paths to the orange eyes or the background. Just focus your attention on rotating your active pink and purple blocks through your three working slots. Wait for a block to empty entirely before pulling the next one.

Step 4: Pull the next yellow block to remove the jacket.

screenshot

The bottom half of the character consists of a bright yellow jacket. You need to remove this clothing layer to access the dark borders underneath. Pull the yellow block with 20 into one of your open slots. The yellow ants will pour out and eat the jacket tiles near the bottom center of the portrait. Clearing this jacket is completely mandatory. The yellow tiles physically block access to the thick black outlines forming the legs and lower torso. You must clear these outer layered colors before the dark borders become available for the black ants. Let the yellow block count all the way down to zero. This action frees up a slot for the heavy black blocks you need for the next phase.

Step 5: Deploy the black blocks to dismantle the character borders.

The entire character shape relies on a thick black outline to separate the colors. With the jacket and face mostly cleared these dark borders are finally exposed to the open space. Pull the black block with 37 and the black block with 21 into your waiting slots. Black ants will emerge from the nest and start tearing down the structural lines of the portrait. They eat the borders around the face, the shoulders, and the remaining hair sections. This move drastically opens up the center of the board. The dark tiles act like solid walls keeping everything else locked away from your ants. Once the black ants remove these borders the entire inner structure of the pixel art falls apart. The numbers on your black blocks will decrease rapidly as the ants find plenty of valid targets across the portrait. Keep watching the tray to ensure your remaining slot stays open while the black ants do their heavy lifting.

Step 6: Let the connected orange boxes finally activate and clear.

screenshot

The black ants removing the dark borders finally opens a valid path to the bright orange eyes and the remaining orange background pieces at the top. The connected orange boxes in your first two waiting slots suddenly activate. The linked blocks spring into action together without you doing anything else. Orange ants flood the board and rapidly consume all the newly exposed orange tiles. The number on the orange block counts down quickly until both linked blocks vanish from your waiting slots simultaneously. You suddenly have all five waiting slots completely empty and available again. This massive release of tray pressure makes the rest of the level incredibly simple to manage. You no longer have to worry about a jammed tray ending your run early.

Step 7: Clean up the final hair and shirt details to win.

screenshot

You are now in the home stretch with a wide open tray. Pull the blue block with 5 to clear the small cyan details on the collar of the shirt. Pull the remaining purple blocks with 4 and 13 to finish off the very top edges of the hair shading. Finally pull the last pink block with 1 to clear the lingering piece of the fringe. With all five slots open you can pull these remaining colors rapidly without any fear of jamming the tray. The ants easily find the last few scattered tiles. The entire pixel art picture completely disappears. The ants finish their routes and you win the level.

Final Thought

Beating this board feels amazing once you figure out how to handle the connected boxes. Managing those restricted three slots is the whole trick to winning. If you find yourself struggling with the exact order of the colors you can always watch the video above this article. The visual guide will help clarify any step you find hard to follow in text. Keep your paths open and the ants will clear the board for you.
