Welcome to Colony Flow Level 272. You have a massive green monster pixel art piece staring at you against a bright pink background. Two giant chocolate blocks anchor the bottom of the puzzle and block the ants from moving up freely. I played through this board to find the exact sequence that keeps the ants moving and prevents the slots from jamming. You need a solid strategy to manage the limited space in your tray while breaking down those heavy obstacles. I will guide you through the exact moves to get the board completely clean.
Colony Flow Level 272 Overview
What You Are Working With
The pixel art features a green monster with dark red and dark green outline details. A massive pink background surrounds the figure on the top and sides. Two huge chocolate blocks sit right at the bottom edge. Each chocolate block has an 800 point health counter. You also have hidden boxes in the tray marked with question marks. These hidden boxes only reveal their colors once they move up into the active slots. You must chip away at the chocolate while managing the unknown blocks sliding up from the bottom of your screen.
What It Takes to Clear Level 272 Board
You win by completely dismantling the monster and the pink background. The primary challenge is the colossal health pool of the two chocolate blocks. You must constantly feed matching blocks into the waiting slots to clear the adjacent tiles so the ants can reach the chocolate. If you ignore the chocolate or fill your five slots with colors that have no open path, you will fail the board. You must maintain a steady flow of ants attacking the chocolate while you simultaneously peel away the pink background. You lose the level the moment all five tray slots fill up with blocks that the ants cannot reach.
Colony Flow Level 272 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Open the bottom edges by clearing the initial pink and green tiles
Start by pulling the pink 30 block and the pink 50 block from the tray. Follow up with the light green 30 block and the light green 32 block. The ants will stream out of the nest and attack the bottom row of the pink background and the bottom edge of the green monster. This action opens up the spaces directly around the two massive chocolate blocks. You need these paths open right away because the chocolate blocks have a massive 800 point requirement. Sending ants to those bottom tiles begins the long process of breaking down the chocolate barrier. Keep an eye on your waiting slots and only pull what the ants can immediately reach on the very bottom row.
Step 2: Attack the monster outline and reduce the chocolate health
Once the bottom edge opens up you will see new blocks reveal themselves from the hidden boxes. Pull the dark green 50 block and the dark red 25 block into the slots. The ants will move up the dark green and dark red outline of the monster body. This continuous flow of ants passing by the chocolate blocks will steadily drop their numbers. You will see the chocolate health dip into the 600 range as the ants clear the outline tiles. You must keep pulling light green and pink blocks as they appear in the tray to maintain a wide open path. Never pull a block color that is buried deep inside the monster shape because that will cause an instant dead end in your tray.
Step 3: Peel back the lower sides of the pink background
Your next priority is clearing the pink tiles flanking the lower half of the monster. Send the pink 34 block and the pink 25 block into the slots. The ants will march up both sides of the board to eat the pink background. At the same time you should pull the dark green 35 block and the light green 3 block to keep eating away at the monster body. This dual approach prevents your slots from jamming. The hidden boxes will keep feeding you more pink and green options. Always prioritize the exposed tiles on the outer edges. The chocolate blocks will continue to take damage from the ants passing through the lower sections and the counters will drop down into the 500 range.
Step 4: Focus heavy numbers on the main light green body
The chocolate health will drop into the 300 range as you start attacking the core of the monster. Pull the light green 20 block and the light green 25 block from your tray. You will also see a dark green 11 block become available. Send it up so the ants can clear the inner dark green shading on the monster body. You have to keep the center paths clear so the ants can travel straight up the middle of the board. Leaving the center blocked will force the ants to take longer routes around the sides and that will slow down your progress. Your tray will reveal more pink blocks but you should hold off on pulling them until the ants finish the green blocks currently sitting in your slots.
Step 5: Break the remaining chocolate and open the monster face
This is the critical moment when the chocolate finally shatters. Pull the light green 35 block and the pink 20 block. The ants will swarm the remaining pink tiles on the middle left side and the light green tiles near the mouth of the monster. The constant traffic will knock out the last 175 points on the chocolate blocks. Once the chocolate disappears you have total free access to the lower half of the board. The hidden boxes will slide up and give you access to a white 12 block. Pull the white 12 block to let the ants eat the teeth of the monster. You avoid a dead end by making sure the white block only enters the tray when the mouth is completely exposed.
Step 6: Clear the eyes and the upper head details
With the mouth gone the ants can reach the yellow and dark red sections of the face. Pull the dark red 13 block and the yellow 24 block. The yellow tiles make up the eyes of the monster. You will also pull another white 12 block to finish off the eye reflections. The ants will clear out the center of the face and leave only the top of the head and the upper pink background. Your waiting slots will empty out nicely because all the paths are completely clear. Bring up the dark green 40 block to eliminate the top ridge of the monster head. The hidden boxes will keep unlocking as you empty the tray and keep the board moving.
Step 7: Finish the top pink background and the final green tiles
You are on the final stretch of the board. The only tiles remaining are the bright pink background across the top and a few scattered light green tiles on the very top of the head. Pull the pink 25 block and the light green 21 block. The ants will travel all the way up the sides to reach these top corners. Pull the last yellow 21 block to grab any straggling yellow tiles. Finally send the light green 35 block into your last open slot. The ants will devour the remaining pink and green tiles at the very top edge of the picture. The board will wipe clean and you will successfully complete the level.
Final Thought
You just need patience and good slot management to beat this puzzle. Keep your paths open at all times and let the constant stream of ants do the heavy lifting on those massive chocolate blocks. Always prioritize the outside edges before moving inward. Watch the video above this article if any step is hard to follow in text.
