What You Are Working With

Take a moment to study the layout of the board. A massive sea of light blue tiles represents the water filling the background. Floating on the left side of this water you find a lotus pad constructed from light green dark green and pink tiles. Swimming on the right side you see a large koi fish made of red white and black tiles. Down at the bottom left corner sits a distinct brown wooden box known as a Hungry Door. This door displays a light blue circle and the number two hundred meaning it requires exactly two hundred light blue tiles to open. Over on the bottom right corner rests a massive block of Chocolate. This brown grid covered block also demands two hundred hits to melt away. Your starting tray provides an assortment of numbered blocks. You see a twenty five light blue block a forty light blue block and a fifty dark blue block mixed in with various green and red options.

What It Takes to Clear Level 609 Board

Winning this level requires strict priority management and careful color targeting. You cannot simply pull blocks at random and expect to succeed. The inner parts of the lotus pad and the koi fish remain completely inaccessible until you deal with the Hungry Door and the Chocolate block. Both of these special tiles block the major entry points for your colony. You must deploy your light blue blocks first to feed the door and break the chocolate shell. Once those initial barriers fall the board opens up drastically. From that point forward you need to balance your block pulls among the different available colors in the tray. You must always leave at least one active path open for your ants so your five waiting slots never jam. Filling all five slots with blocks that have no available targets results in an instant loss. Managing that five slot queue is the true secret to beating this stage.

Colony Flow Level 609 Step by Step Solution

Step 1: Feed the Hungry Door with your first light blue blocks

Your absolute first priority involves attacking the Hungry Door stationed on the bottom left of the board. This stubborn door asks for two hundred light blue tiles before it will open and grant you access to the left side paths. Look down at your tray and pull the light blue blocks into your waiting slots immediately. You have a twenty five count block and a forty count block ready to go. Send these into the queue right away. The ants will stream out of the central nest hole and begin converting the light blue water tiles into progress for the Hungry Door. You must keep pulling light blue blocks as they surface in the tray. By focusing solely on the light blue tiles during this early stage you ensure a steady and uninterrupted stream of ants clearing the bottom left corner. This focused action creates the vital physical space you need to maneuver later. Do not touch the green or red blocks just yet. Keep your slots dedicated to the light blue demand until the door finally opens and reveals the fresh food tiles hidden behind it.

Step 2: Melt the Chocolate block on the bottom right side

After the Hungry Door opens you must immediately shift your focus over to the bottom right corner of the board. The massive Chocolate block sits there completely blocking access to the lower tail section of the koi fish. This sticky obstacle requires two hundred direct hits from your ants to clear completely. Continue pulling the light blue blocks from your tray to send a new wave of ants toward this side of the board. The ants will chew through the surrounding water tiles and steadily chip away at the Chocolate barrier. You will watch the two hundred number steadily count down with every bite. Keep a very close eye on your five waiting slots during this heavy feeding process. You can pull one blue or green block if you desperately need to expose more light blue blocks in the tray but you must prioritize melting the chocolate. Once the counter finally hits zero the Chocolate melts away entirely. This success opens up a massive new path on the right side of the board and gives your colony full access to the koi fish.

Step 3: Attack the green lotus pad on the left side

With both bottom corner barriers completely gone you can finally start clearing the actual picture itself. Turn your attention back to the lotus pad on the left side of the pond. Pull the fifteen count light green block and the forty count dark green block into your waiting slots. The ants will climb up the newly opened left path and begin eating the green tiles. The lotus pad consists of large chunky shapes of identical colors which makes this part of the level very satisfying to clear. Watch as the colony devours the outer light green sections first. Then send in another dark green block to clear out the inner shadows of the leaves. This systematic clearing on the left side ensures your ants never run out of open targets to chase. You maintain a perfectly clean queue by only pulling green blocks when the ants have a clear and direct path to the lotus pad.

Step 4: Begin clearing the red koi fish on the right side

Now you need to balance the board by launching an attack on the right side. The beautiful koi fish features bright red and pink tiles that need clearing. Pull the twenty six count red block from your bottom tray. The ants will travel up the right side path where the Chocolate used to sit and start eating the bright red scales of the fish. Follow this action up immediately with a pink block to clear the delicate accent colors on the fish body. You must manage your waiting slots very carefully during this phase. Put one red block and one pink block into the queue at the exact same time. The ants will split up naturally and tackle both colors simultaneously without getting stuck. This dual assault clears the lower half of the koi fish rapidly and prevents any single color from clogging up your available paths.

Step 5: Clear the middle section of light blue water

A large patch of light blue water tiles still remains in the dead center of the board sitting right between the lotus pad and the koi fish. You need to clear this central space to connect the two halves of the board and create better routing for your colony. Pull the forty five count light blue block and the thirty count light blue block into your queue now. The ants will surge straight up the middle and consume the remaining water tiles separating the two main subjects. This strategic move creates a massive superhighway for your ants to reach the upper sections of the picture much faster. Clearing the center also exposes the remaining inner tiles of the upper lotus leaves and the top fish fins. Keep watching your queue closely. If the light blue ants take too long to clear their targets do not pull any other random colors until a slot frees up naturally.

Step 6: Push through the upper tail of the koi fish

The board is now mostly clear at the bottom and the ants are happily eating their way toward the top edge of the screen. The upper half of the koi fish still has several red and pink tiles remaining in its tail section. Your tray shows multiple blocks in these specific colors including several nine count red and pink blocks queued up. Pull these smaller blocks into your waiting slots one after another. The ants will march up the long central path you just created and systematically dismantle the top half of the fish. These smaller number blocks are truly excellent for tight spaces because they empty out very quickly. This rapid turnover in your waiting slots keeps your momentum going strong. You never have to worry about a large fifty count block getting stuck trying to reach a mere handful of tiles when you use these smaller blocks efficiently.

Step 7: Eliminate the final green and blue scattered tiles

As you approach the very top of the board the remaining tiles become much more scattered and isolated. You have a messy mix of green leaves pink accents and dark blue water tiles dotting the upper edge of the screen. Look closely at your tray and find the nineteen count green block and the twenty two count light blue block. Pull these specific blocks into your waiting slots now. The ants will fan out widely across the top of the board to hunt down these scattered colors. This late phase requires a bit of patience on your part. The travel distance from the bottom nest hole all the way to the top of the board takes much longer now. Give your ants the necessary time to walk all the way up there and eat the tiles. Avoid the dangerous temptation to pull extra blocks into your queue while you wait. Let the active blocks finish their work completely and leave your slots open for the final stretch.

Step 8: Finish the top edge to win the level

Only the very top border of the picture remains visible now. You will see a thin horizontal line of light blue tiles and a few straggling white and pink tiles hiding in the corners. Pull the final forty five count light blue block and the twenty three count dark blue block from your tray to clear the remaining water. The ants will make the long trek to the top boundary and consume the last of the blue background. Then pull the single count pink block and the white block to finish off the absolute final details of the lotus flower and the fish tail. The last few ants will clear the top edge completely leaving the screen totally blank. The board will empty out entirely and you will secure your well earned victory.

Final Thought

Beating this stage comes down to patience and controlling those bottom corner barriers early on. If you manage the Hungry Door and the Chocolate block without jamming your queue the rest of the board falls into place naturally. Keep your paths open and trust the process. If you find any of these steps hard to follow in text format I highly encourage you to watch the video above this article. The video shows the exact sequence of moves from start to finish so you can see the timing in full action.
