Colony Flow Level 201 gives you a puzzle shaped like a giant baked gingerbread man. You have to break this massive cookie down tile by tile to keep your colony moving smoothly. I found this board challenging because the bottom edge restricts your early path choices and forces you to plan your tray pulls perfectly.
Colony Flow Level 201 Overview
What You Are Working With
The main image features thick layers of orange and brown tiles surrounded by a light orange border. You will spot purple buttons down the chest alongside pink cheeks and white facial features. Your block tray starts with large numbers like a brown eighteen and an orange twenty. This level also includes the Lock and Key mechanic. You will see colored keys resting on the board and matching colored locks blocking your tray. You must clear the tiles under the keys to release those trapped blocks.
What It Takes to Clear Level 201 Board
You complete the level when the ants eat every single tile and the screen goes completely blank. The primary danger involves the five waiting slots at the bottom of your screen. If you pull five blocks into these slots and none of them can reach a matching tile on the board, your traffic jams and you lose the game. You always have to clear a continuous open path from the nest hole to the correct colors.
Colony Flow Level 201 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Start at the bottom feet to open your initial pathways
The level begins with your ants trapped right near the bottom edge of the feet. You need to carve out some working room immediately so your ants have space to walk. Look at your starting tray and pull up the orange block and the light orange block. The ants will stream out of the nest hole and begin chewing away the bottom border of the feet. The large numbers on these blocks will count down steadily as the ants carry the pieces away. Keep your remaining three slots completely empty during this phase so you do not risk a traffic jam early on.
Step 2: Work up the lower legs to widen the eating zone
Once the lowest border disappears your ants have more surface area to attack. You will see a lot of brown and red tiles making up the core of the lower body. Pull a red fifteen block into your active slots to let the ants hollow out the legs. You can then bring up an orange eighteen block to chew through the main structure. Watching the legs vanish opens up wide lanes on both the left and right sides of the board. This wide access makes it much easier to target specific colors higher up on the torso without blocking your colony.
Step 3: Collect the board keys to unlock your restricted tray blocks
You will notice a green lock and a yellow lock sitting in your tray and holding back crucial colors. To remove these locks you must reach the matching keys resting on the board. Direct your ants to the yellow key on the lower body and the green key near the face by clearing the surrounding orange and red tiles. You should pull just enough red and orange blocks to dissolve the tiles holding those keys. Earning these keys instantly shatters the locks in your tray and gives you access to a fresh supply of colors.
Step 4: Clear the thick arms and the outer edges of the torso
The gingerbread man has thick arms extending to the left and right sides of the screen. You need a mix of light orange and solid orange blocks to dissolve these sections. Put a light orange block into your queue and let the ants walk out onto the outer edges of the arms. Keep your tray clear by waiting for the block numbers to drop near zero before you pull a new color. As the arms dissolve your ants get a much shorter walking distance from the nest to the center of the board. This short walk speeds up the eating process significantly.
Step 5: Eat the purple buttons and the pink rosy cheeks
Now the center chest and face are exposed and ready to be cleared. You will see purple blocks in your tray with values like six and five. Pull these purple blocks into your slots to clear away the buttons on the chest. You can also pull a pink block with a value of five to clear out the rosy cheeks on the face. The ants will swarm the middle of the board to collect these pieces. The numbers on these specific blocks are very small so they will clear out of your waiting slots rapidly and leave you with plenty of open space.
Step 6: Clear the white icing and the remaining facial features
You need to target the white icing trim and the eyes next. Look for the white blocks in your tray and pull them up into your active slots. Send a white fourteen block in to let the ants clear the eyes and the lower icing strips. The head structure starts to shrink rapidly at this stage. You will also need to pull a few red and orange blocks to clear the rest of the face around the white tiles. Watch your slots carefully here because the available paths get quite narrow as the face shrinks inward.
Step 7: Push your colony toward the top crown of the head
Only the top section of the head and the upper icing crown remain on the board at this point. Your tray provides you with a yellow ten block alongside a few small orange and brown blocks. Pull these into your queue to send the ants marching up to the very top edge. Make sure you sequence these blocks correctly so an orange block is always working and reducing its number while you wait for the yellow block to find its target. Keeping one block actively counting down guarantees your waiting slots will never fill up entirely.
Step 8: Finish the final top pieces to complete the board
The last few blocks in your tray include a small white six and a larger orange twenty one. Bring them up to the waiting slots and watch your colony clear the final border tiles at the very top edge of the screen. The ants will quickly devour the remaining pieces of the hat and the hair trim. The entire picture dissolves and the screen goes completely blank. Your slots remain clear and the level ends in a solid victory.
Final Thought
Managing your queue space is the entire trick to beating this massive puzzle without getting stuck. Taking the time to clear the bottom legs thoroughly gives your ants the room they need to reach the upper sections smoothly.
