Welcome to Colony Flow Level 349 where we clear a huge pixel art character. This level features a massive light blue background behind a brightly colored pink starfish character. You will guide your colony through thick borders and large solid color blocks to break down the picture. I play every level myself and I will show you exactly how to empty your tray without jamming your waiting slots.
Colony Flow Level 349 Overview
What You Are Working With
The board displays a large pixel art picture at the top. The background consists entirely of light blue tiles. In the center sits a large pink character with a wide open dark red mouth and thick black border outlines. The bottom edge of the picture rests on a yellow patch on the left side and an orange patch on the right side. You also see a small green section near the bottom middle. The tray at the bottom of your screen holds all the colored numbered blocks you need to feed your colony. Some blocks in the lower rows of the tray have lock icons on them. These locked blocks will open up and become available as you pull the active blocks sitting on top of them. Your nest hole sits directly between the tray and the picture. All your ants will pour out of this central hole and travel up to the picture.
What It Takes to Clear Level 349 Board
To win this level you must clear every single pixel from the picture. You achieve this by pulling blocks from your tray up into the five waiting slots. When you place a colored block in a waiting slot the ants of that color exit the nest hole. They follow the open paths on the board to reach matching color tiles. Each time an ant eats a tile the number on your waiting block counts down. Once the number hits zero the block vanishes and frees up a slot. The main challenge is managing your five waiting slots. If you fill all five slots with colors that cannot reach their target tiles the board will jam and you lose the level. You must always verify an open path exists before pulling a block. We will focus on clearing the outer background first to create wide open travel lanes.
Colony Flow Level 349 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Start clearing the massive light blue background sky
Your first move is to attack the massive light blue sky that surrounds the character. Look at your starting tray and pull the light blue 40 block and the light blue 35 block from the top row. The light blue ants immediately surge out of the nest hole. They travel up the far left and right edges of the board. As they eat the sky they carve out wide open lanes along the perimeter. These open lanes help you greatly for the rest of the level because they prevent future ants from getting stuck near the nest. Pulling these two blocks also drops their numbers to zero quickly because the sky tiles are totally exposed. The ants have direct access to hundreds of light blue pixels. This keeps your waiting slots empty and ready for the next move.
Step 2: Open the bottom left corner by playing the yellow block
With the outer edges opening up you can now target the bottom left corner of the picture. Pull the yellow 15 block from the tray into an open waiting slot. The yellow ants march out and head straight left from the center nest hole. They eat the yellow tiles forming the ground patch on the bottom left side. Clearing this yellow section gives your future ants a much wider turning radius when they exit the nest hole. The yellow 15 block counts down fast and vanishes from your waiting slot. You now have a smooth open area on the entire left side of the character. Never pull another block until you see the yellow number dropping steadily toward zero.
Step 3: Attack the thick black outline of the character
The character features a very thick black border outline. This outline traps the inner pink and dark red tiles inside the main body. You must break this black border down to allow your ants inside the character. Pull the black 54 block from the tray into your waiting slot. The black ants stream out and follow the newly opened side paths. They latch onto the black outline starting from the bottom edges and working their way up the sides of the tall pointed head. The number 54 is large but the black tiles are fully exposed on the outside edges. The ants will eat through the border rapidly. This continuous eating prevents the black block from sitting in your waiting slot for too long.
Step 4: Continue clearing the sky with more light blue blocks
As the black ants eat the border you will see more light blue blocks become available in your tray. Pull the next light blue 35 block and light blue 29 block into your waiting slots. Your colony will send out fresh light blue ants to eat the remaining sky pieces near the top of the character head. By balancing the black outline removal with the background sky removal you keep multiple travel lanes active at once. The ants will not bump into each other because they are traveling to entirely different zones on the upper board. This careful routing ensures you never block your board and trigger a loss.
Step 5: Clear the dark red inside the mouth area
Once the black border breaks open near the bottom you gain access to the dark red mouth area. Pull the dark red 30 block from the tray. The dark red ants march straight up the middle path and enter the open mouth of the character. They quickly consume the large solid block of dark red tiles located there. This clears a huge empty void right in the direct center of the board. Removing the mouth early is a very smart play because it removes a large physical obstacle from the middle of the picture. The dark red 30 block disappears from your waiting slot and frees up vital space for your next major color.
Step 6: Move onto the main pink body tiles
Now that the black border is broken and the mouth is gone the pink body tiles are fully exposed to your colony. Bring up the pink 26 block and the pink 35 block from your tray. The pink ants flood the board in huge numbers. They swarm the lower arms and the top point of the tall starfish head. The pink section makes up the majority of the actual character so you will spend a lot of time feeding these pink blocks. Watch the numbers count down in your waiting slots. As one pink block empties completely pull the next pink block up from the tray. Keep the pink ants flowing continuously to hollow out the solid character body.
Step 7: Handle the orange tiles on the bottom right
While the pink ants work on the main body you can send another group to the bottom right corner. Pull the light orange 25 block into an open waiting slot. The orange ants travel right from the nest hole and eat the ground tiles on that far side. This mirrors exactly what you did on the left side with the yellow tiles earlier. Clearing the orange corner removes the last major obstacle near the bottom right edge. Your ants now have a completely clear bottom zone to walk through in all directions. The orange block empties quickly and keeps your waiting slots safe from jamming.
Step 8: Clear the green tiles near the bottom center
You will notice a small cluster of green tiles right below the character body. Pull the light green 14 block from the tray into a slot. The green ants take a very short trip straight up from the nest hole and eat the green pants area. Because this section is located so close to the nest the ants finish the job in just a few short seconds. The green block vanishes almost instantly from your tray. Quick short moves like this are excellent for rotating fresh blocks into your tray without risking a long delay in your waiting slots.
Step 9: Clean up the remaining scattered fragments
The board is now mostly empty but you still have several disconnected pieces of black pink and light blue tiles scattered around. Pull the smaller numbered blocks from your tray very carefully. Bring up the black 9 block and the light blue 7 block. The ants will track down these isolated pixels and remove them. You must pay close attention during this cleanup phase. Only pull a block if you clearly see a fully open path to that specific tile color. If a pink tile is hiding behind a black tile you must pull the black block first. Playing the wrong order here will permanently trap a block in your waiting slot.
Step 10: Finish the final colors to clear the board
You are down to the very last blocks resting in your tray. Pull the remaining dark red 33 block and the final pink 34 block into your open slots. The remaining ants rush the empty board and eat the very last colored tiles left from the character. Watch the final numbers drop to zero in your slots. The waiting slots empty out completely as the last tile vanishes. The board is now totally clear of all pixel tiles and you successfully win the level.
Final Thought
Managing a large board like this requires patience and careful tray pulls. You win by opening the outer edges early and breaking down the heavy black outlines before attacking the inner colors. Always watch your five waiting slots and never pull a block unless you know the ants have a clear path to their food.
