Colony Flow Level 887 throws a detailed pixel art character at you right from the start. You face a large board with seven hundred sixty tiles shaped like a person with white hair and a purple outfit. You will need to carefully manage your tray space to avoid a jam because the blocks feature very high numbers. I will show you exactly how to dismantle this board piece by piece.

What You Are Working With

The picture dominates the board with a thick cyan background outlining the main character. The character features a large section of white hair on top and a wide peach face in the middle. The bottom shows a purple and gold jacket. A dark brown chocolate layer completely covers the bottom left corner of the puzzle. This chocolate blocks the tiles underneath and prevents any ants from reaching that area until you clear it out.

Your tray at the bottom is packed with large number blocks. You will immediately see connected boxes in your tray. These are blocks joined together by a colored line. When you pull one connected box into the waiting slots, the attached box comes with it. This takes up multiple slots at once. Deeper in the tray you will spot a hidden box marked with a question mark. This box hides its true color until you clear the blocks above it and drag it into a slot.

You win the level when every single pixel art tile disappears and your ants leave the board completely empty. You lose the level if you fill all five waiting slots above the tray and your ants have nowhere to go. Because this level uses connected boxes that consume two slots at a time, you have very little room for error. You must always ensure the outer tiles match the blocks you pull. You need to strip away the cyan background first to open physical pathways to the white hair and the purple outfit. Clearing the chocolate layer early is also required so you do not get stuck trying to reach the bottom edge later in the game.

Step 1: Open the outer background and attack the chocolate layer.

You must start by attacking the massive cyan background that surrounds the character. Pull the connected cyan thirty five and cyan thirty six blocks into your waiting slots. Because they are connected they will take up two slots immediately. This is a safe move because the cyan tiles are completely exposed on the outer edge of the picture. A huge swarm of cyan ants will stream out of the nest hole and begin eating the right and left sides of the background. Pull the yellow twenty five block next. The yellow ants will travel to the right side of the board to eat the gold trim on the jacket. The ants will also start chewing on the chocolate layer at the bottom left. Keep the paths clear and let the numbers on your blocks drop.

Step 2: Deploy the next wave of background clearers and start the outfit.

Once the first set of cyan blocks finishes their work the tray shifts upward. You now have access to a new set of connected boxes. Pull the blue forty and cyan forty connected blocks. These will fill two slots again. The cyan ants will continue clearing the thick background border on the left side of the character. The board count will drop down into the four hundreds. Now you can start attacking the main figure. Pull the purple fifteen block into an open slot. The purple ants will march straight toward the lower jacket area. Follow this by pulling the yellow twelve block. You must constantly watch the ants as they move. If the ants stop moving it means their color path is blocked and you risk filling your five slots.

Step 3: Strip away the white hair and manage the large peach blocks.

The chocolate on the bottom left is finally destroyed by this point in the level. This gives you a massive advantage because it opens fresh paths to the purple outfit and the cyan border on the left. The total block count drops into the three hundreds. It is time to clear the top of the head. Pull the white thirty five block. A massive line of white ants will rush to the top of the board and start devouring the thick white hair. Pull the purple twenty eight block to keep clearing the jacket on the bottom right. You will see a massive peach sixty six block in your tray. Do not pull this block until the white hair is mostly gone. The peach tiles make up the face which is located in the dead center of the board. If you pull the peach block too early the ants will get stuck behind the white hair and jam your waiting slots.

Step 4: Clear the face and push through the hidden box.

Your board count is now in the two hundreds. The white hair is almost entirely gone. Now you can safely pull the peach sixty six block into a waiting slot. The peach ants will swarm the center of the board and rapidly eat away the large face section. Pull the white fifteen block to clean up the last remaining strands of hair on the top left. The hidden box in your tray is now fully exposed. Pull it into a slot to reveal its color and let those ants clear their matching tiles. Pull the yellow four block to finish the last piece of gold trim on the right side. The board is looking very bare now and your waiting slots are cycling through quickly.

Step 5: Finish the purple outfit and clear the right side.

The character is now broken apart into floating islands of pixels. You have a few purple tiles remaining on the bottom right and some stray face tiles. Pull the connected pink one and cyan one blocks to clear out two tiny leftover pieces on the right edge. Pull the yellow eighteen and peach thirteen blocks. The peach ants will finish off the lower chin area of the face. Pull the connected purple blocks to send a final wave of purple ants to the bottom right corner. This completely removes the jacket from the board. Your tray is now getting very empty and you only have the left side border remaining.

Step 6: Deploy the teal ants to clear the final thick border.

You now see a tall solid line of teal tiles standing alone on the far left side of the board. Your tray has finally revealed the heavy teal blocks that were buried at the very bottom. Pull the teal twenty block into a waiting slot. The teal ants will run all the way across the empty board and begin eating the bottom of that tall border. Pull the teal twenty five block and the teal twenty six block right after it. You have plenty of open slots now so this is a completely safe move. A massive army of teal ants will quickly chew through the entire left border.

Step 7: Clean up the final scattered pieces to complete the board.

The massive shapes are all gone. You are left with a handful of random single tiles scattered across the empty dirt background. Your tray now holds only tiny single digit blocks. Pull the red one block to clear a lone dot near the top. Pull the peach one block and the cyan one block to clean up the top left corner. Finally pull the last teal one block to remove the very last pixel on the board. The final ants will dive back into the nest hole. The board is totally empty and you win the level.

This board requires you to be very patient with the huge peach and white blocks in the middle of the tray. If you keep your focus on the outer edges and break the chocolate early you will never run out of waiting slots.
