Welcome to Colony Flow Level 1157. This puzzle features a cool pixel art alien celebrating with a party hat and a bright firework. You have a massive number of high count blocks to manage right from the start. The outer night sky background takes up a huge portion of the board and blocks everything else. You need a solid plan to avoid filling your waiting slots early. A single wrong move will jam your board and end your run. You will need to practice patience as the ants march across the screen. Rushing your moves will only lead to a jammed board. I will break down exactly how to navigate these colors and clear this board safely.

What You Are Working With

The board displays a bright green alien wearing a magenta and blue party hat. The alien sits on an orange and red planet surface. A large white firework bursts in the dark purple and dark blue night sky. Your tray is packed with blocks holding big numbers like 30, 40, and 45. You will also find a set of Connected Boxes waiting for you late in the tray. These linked boxes move up to the waiting slots as a single group. You cannot separate them. You must plan for their arrival so they do not overwhelm your five available slots. You will notice that the background surrounds the main character entirely. This means the outer tiles act like a thick protective wall.

What It Takes to Clear Level 1157 Board

You win the game when your ants eat every single pixel art tile and return to their nest. You lose the game if your five waiting slots fill up completely with no open paths for the ants to feed. Your strategy for this level must focus on clearing the outside edges first. The dark purple and blue sky tiles act as a thick wall around the inner details of the alien and the firework. You will peel away the night sky to open up the white firework lines and the orange ground. You will carefully dismantle this wall piece by piece. Patience is your best tool for managing the tray. Once the thick background is gone, you can safely pull the smaller blocks to clean up the intricate alien details.

Colony Flow Level 1157 Step by Step Solution

Step 1: Clear the outer night sky first to open the board edges.

Start your game by pulling the large dark purple and dark blue blocks from the bottom tray. The night sky makes up the largest solid block of color on the entire board. You want to pull the dark purple 30 block and the dark blue 40 block right away. The ants will flood out of the nest hole and march up the extreme left and right sides of the board. They will eat away the massive chunks of the dark background. This action immediately opens up the outer edges of the picture. The dark blue tiles wrap around the top corners of the screen. Clearing them reveals the hidden stars underneath. Watch the numbers on your waiting blocks count down. As soon as one block finishes and vanishes, pull another dark purple 35 block to keep the ants moving. You must carve out this exterior space before you touch any other colors. Leaving the sky for later will trap your ants and permanently fill your waiting slots.

Step 2: Expose the orange planet surface at the bottom of the picture.

With the sides of the sky clearing out nicely, focus your attention on the very bottom of the picture. The alien sits on an orange and red planet surface. Pull the orange 20 block and the orange 11 block up into your open waiting slots. The ants will march straight up from the nest hole and begin eating the ground tiles immediately. You want to clear these bottom tiles to expose the lower half of the alien body and the alien shoes. The orange ground is very thick and takes several blocks to completely clear. Pay attention to the bright red tiles mixed in with the orange. Managing the orange blocks now gives your ants a very short travel distance from the nest. A shorter travel distance means the blocks count down much faster. Your waiting slots will empty out rapidly. This keeps your board completely safe and prepares you for the next critical phase of the puzzle.

Step 3: Erase the bright white firework burst in the top corner.

Look at the top right section of the board where the firework sits. The bright white lines are now completely exposed because you cleared the dark sky around them in the first step. Bring up the massive white 45 block into a waiting slot. A huge stream of ants will travel straight up the right side of the board and consume the main spokes of the firework burst. The white firework pieces are scattered in a starburst pattern. Your ants will need to stretch out to reach the farthest white pixels. Let the white 45 block do its work and empty out completely. Then pull the smaller white 12 block to finish off the center of the burst. You must clear this firework entirely before you move on to the alien. The white tiles act as a barrier to the top of the party hat. Getting rid of them opens up the rest of the puzzle and gives your ants more room to maneuver.

Step 4: Tackle the alien clothing and party hat with careful timing.

Now the background and the planet environment are mostly gone. The alien and the colorful party hat remain in the center of the board. This section requires careful timing because you have several different colors in small amounts. You will see light blue, magenta, and blue tiles making up the outfit and the cup. Pull the light blue 12 block and the light blue 3 block first. The ants will clear the trim on the shirt and the small details on the cup the alien holds. Next, pull the magenta 22 block and the blue 29 block to eat the party hat and the main part of the shirt. The magenta hat sits high up on the alien head. The blue shirt pieces cover the chest and the arms. You must monitor your five waiting slots closely during this sequence. Do not pull all these colors at the exact same time. Bring them up two at a time so the ants always have a clear path to feed without causing a traffic jam in your slots.

Step 5: Remove the peach colored alien skin from the face and hands.

The alien face and hands use bright peach colored tiles. You have a peach 18 block and a peach 6 block waiting in your tray. Bring the peach 18 block up to your active waiting slots. The ants will head straight for the face and hands. These tiles are located right in the middle of the remaining board. Because you cleared the clothing and the hat first, the ants have wide open paths to reach these skin tiles. The alien holds a small cup that also uses peach pixels. You will see the ants easily find their way to these small details. Let the peach 18 block count down completely. Then pull the peach 6 block to clean up the last few skin details. Only the green skin and a few scattered background tiles will remain after you complete this step.

Step 6: Handle the connected boxes in the tray to clear scattered tiles.

Look down at your tray as you near the end of the level. You will see a group of Connected Boxes linked together by a thick line. This specific group includes a dark purple block, a black block, a purple block, a yellow block, and a green block. When you tap one of these boxes, the entire connected chain moves up into your waiting slots as a single huge unit. You must be absolutely sure that every single color in that chain has an open path on the board. If even one color is blocked by another tile, that specific box will sit in your slot and take up valuable space. These connected boxes are a unique challenge because they lock up your tray. You must resolve them quickly to keep the game moving. Verify that the scattered remaining background tiles and yellow stars are fully exposed. Pull the connected group into your tray. The ants will split up and clear all these random leftover colors at the exact same time.

Step 7: Finish the green alien head to complete the entire puzzle.

screenshot

The final major color left on the board is the bright green head of the alien. You have a green 28 block and a green 8 block waiting for you at the very end. Pull the green 28 block into your empty slots. The ants will swarm the alien face and eat away the huge chunk of green pixels. The green face is a very large solid chunk of color. You will enjoy watching the swarm quickly devour this final piece. Wait patiently for this block to finish its countdown. Finally, pull the final green 8 block to consume the very last tiles on the entire board. The picture will completely disappear. The last few ants will return to the nest and you will successfully win the level.

Final Thought

Managing massive sections of background color is the real trick to surviving this board. You always want to work from the outside edges inward so your ants never hit a dead end. Keep your waiting slots clear and respect those Connected Boxes at the end of the tray. Remember to take your time and watch the board closely. Every puzzle rewards a careful approach.
