I just finished playing Colony Flow Level 1160 and I am ready to share my exact winning strategy with you. This puzzle presents a massive pixel art cat wearing bright sunglasses right in the middle of your screen. The board looks intimidating at first glance because of the sheer number of different colors and a massive obstacle blocking the top right corner. I play every single level myself to figure out the best sequence of moves so you do not have to guess. I will walk you through exactly which colors to pull and when to pull them so your waiting slots never jam up. Follow my moves and you will clear this board smoothly.
Colony Flow Level 1160 Overview
What You Are Working With
Let me paint a clear picture of the board layout. The main focus is a large cat face made of deep purple and pink tiles. The cat wears bright cyan and light blue sunglasses. A mix of orange and yellow background tiles surrounds the cat head on the top left and bottom left sides of the board. A dark red shape resembling a wine glass sits off to the bottom right side. The biggest obstacle is a giant Hungry Door sitting squarely in the top right corner. This wooden door has the number one hundred written across it. Your tray at the bottom of the screen holds multiple rows of blocks numbered with the exact amount of ants they release. Later in the puzzle you will deal with Connected Boxes where two differently colored blocks link together and must enter your waiting slots at the exact same time.
What It Takes to Clear Level 1160 Board
Clearing this board requires you to manage your five waiting slots perfectly. You lose the game immediately if you fill all five slots with blocks that have no open paths to their matching tiles. Your primary goal is to feed one hundred ants into the Hungry Door to break it open while simultaneously chewing through the outer background tiles. You must clear the orange and yellow border first to create wide open paths for your purple ants to reach the cat face. Once you crack the Hungry Door open you will reveal a secret stash of tiles hidden inside. You win the game when every single colored pixel art tile vanishes from the white board and the ants return to their nest.
Colony Flow Level 1160 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Start by clearing the dark red wine glass and the outer orange background.
You need to open up the outer edges of the board before you tackle the main cat face. Pull the dark red block holding four ants and the dark blue block holding twenty two ants from your tray. Follow this immediately by pulling the orange block holding twenty eight ants. The dark red ants will march straight to the right side and eat the wine glass shape. The orange ants will stream out and wrap around the left side to eat the thick orange border. You need these outer layers gone so your inner purple blocks can find valid paths. Keep two waiting slots completely empty right now to protect your board from jamming.
Step 2: Begin feeding the massive purple cat face to create room for the main door push.
Now that the outer edges are moving you can start chipping away at the cat head. Pull the dark purple block holding nine ants and the light purple block holding seven ants. These ants will march directly into the bottom edge of the cat head. You will see the bottom layer of the purple design start to disappear. Do not pull any cyan blocks yet because the sunglasses are completely blocked by the purple face tiles. The orange background tiles on the far left side will continue to vanish as your orange ants finish their long walk up the screen.
Step 3: Shift your focus to the top right corner to start breaking the Hungry Door countdown.
The Hungry Door requires one hundred ants to unlock and open. Pull the light purple block holding eleven ants and the dark purple block holding twenty nine ants. These ants will split their paths on the board. Some will chew on the remaining cat face while others will march straight up to the wooden door and knock the counter down. You will see the big one hundred drop to seventy one as the ants hit the door structure. Pull another orange block with thirty one ants to finish clearing the upper left background pieces.
Step 4: Keep feeding the door until the wooden frame bursts wide open to expose the hidden tiles.
You must finish unlocking the top right corner before your tray gets too crowded. Pull another dark purple block holding twenty nine ants and a dark blue block holding nineteen ants. The dark purple ants will swarm the top right corner and completely shatter the Hungry Door. When the door breaks open it reveals a dense square of cyan, pink, and dark blue tiles hidden underneath. Now you have a clear visual of every remaining tile on the board. The left side of your screen will be almost entirely empty now except for a few scattered yellow background pixels.
Step 5: Play your first set of Connected Boxes to clear the top left corner and lower cat body.
You will see a yellow block holding twelve ants linked directly to a light purple block holding eleven ants. Pull this connected pair into your tray. You must ensure you have two empty slots available before you pull them. The yellow ants will rush to the top left and eat the last remaining sunburst background tiles. The light purple ants will clean up the neck area of the cat. Pull the orange block with nine ants to completely finish the orange border.
Step 6: Unleash a massive swarm of cyan ants to obliterate the sunglasses.
With the outer face cleared the bright cyan sunglasses are totally exposed and ready to clear. Pull the giant cyan block holding forty five ants from the center of your tray. This massive colony will march straight into the middle of the board and consume almost the entire sunglass design. Pull the dark purple block with sixteen ants right after the cyan block to eat the bridge of the cat nose. Your board will suddenly look very empty with just the door frame contents and a few stray pixels left over.
Step 7: Manage your final Connected Boxes to clean out the wooden door frame.
You will spot a dark purple block linked to a light blue block in your tray. Pull this pair into your slots. The dark purple ants will clean up the very last pixels of the cat nose. Pull another set of Connected Boxes featuring a blue block holding seven ants linked to a pink block holding three ants. These ants will march directly into the open wooden door frame in the top right corner. They will eat the hidden pink and dark blue tiles you exposed earlier.
Step 8: Send your last remaining cyan ants to sweep the board and win the game.
Your board is now completely empty except for a handful of light blue and cyan tiles clustered inside the top right door frame. You have plenty of empty waiting slots to use safely. Pull the final cyan block holding thirteen ants from your tray. These ants will take a long walk across the empty white space and eat the last remaining pixels. The picture completely disappears and the game credits you with a win.
Final Thought
This puzzle tests your patience with that massive one hundred count door in the top corner. You must balance clearing the outer edges while slowly chipping away at the door counter to succeed. Take your time with the connected blocks so you do not accidentally trap yourself at the very end of the level. I highly recommend watching the video above this article if any step is hard to follow in text.
