Welcome back to another puzzle guide. I am Liam Stone and today we are tackling Colony Flow Level 312. This board presents a massive pixel art flag that takes up most of the screen. We have a huge amount of blue tiles to clear and a stubborn door in the corner blocking our progress. I played through this one several times to figure out the exact sequence to keep the ants moving without jamming the waiting slots. The layout looks simple at first glance but the tray hides a few traps that will quickly end your run. I will walk you through the exact moves I used to clear the board smoothly.
Colony Flow Level 312 Overview
What You Are Working With
You start the level looking at a large rectangular flag shape made entirely of tiles. The vast majority of this shape consists of solid blue tiles with a few white star shapes scattered across the right side. In the top left corner sits a Hungry Door. This large brown double door features a white circle lock demanding twenty five white ants before it will open. Below the board your tray holds a deep stack of numbered blocks in blue white and red colors. Pay close attention to the tray because this level features Connected Boxes. You will see thick lines joining certain blocks together. This means tapping one linked block pulls the entire connected group into your waiting slots simultaneously.
What It Takes to Clear Level 312 Board
You must direct your ant colony to consume every single colored tile to beat the level. The massive blue section requires you to cycle through many blue blocks. However the true challenge lies hidden in the top left corner. The Hungry Door completely covers a dense section of red and white tiles. You cannot touch those hidden tiles until you feed twenty five white ants to the door lock. You will lose the game if you pull too many blocks that have nowhere to go. Since you only have five waiting slots available a single bad pull can end your run. You must sequence your blue and white pulls perfectly so the queue never fills up completely.
Colony Flow Level 312 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Clear the outer blue edges to create shorter travel paths
Start by pulling two separate blue blocks from the top layers of your tray. The blue ants stream out of the central nest hole and immediately begin eating the bottom right and outer edges of the blue background. This action opens up the lower board and buys you crucial time. You need these initial blue tiles gone so your future ants have a shorter distance to travel. Watch the numbers on your active blue blocks drop steadily. Wait until those numbers reach single digits before you tap another block. Pulling too many blue blocks at once will crowd the bottom path and cause the ants to slow down which puts your waiting slots in danger.
Step 2: Feed the Hungry Door with an early white block
Now you must address the Hungry Door in the top left corner. Pull a white block from the tray and drop it into your available waiting slots. The white ants will spawn and march straight toward the twenty five lock on the wooden doors. Feeding this door early is a mandatory move. If you ignore the door and keep pulling blue blocks the long travel times will eventually cause the blue blocks to get stuck in traffic. The white ants bypass the blue tiles and travel directly to the lock. This lowers the door requirement and keeps your block queue moving smoothly while the blue ants continue working on the right side.
Step 3: Manage the linked red blocks to prevent tray blockage
Look closely at your tray and spot the Connected Boxes. You will see red blocks joined together by a colored line. You cannot use any red ants right now because the red tiles remain completely hidden behind the Hungry Door. You must leave these connected red blocks exactly where they are. Tapping them now would instantly fill multiple spaces in your five precious waiting slots with red ants that have absolutely no target. Those red blocks would sit there forever and cause an immediate game over as soon as you pulled enough blue blocks to fill the remaining slots. Work around them by selecting only the free blue and white blocks.
Step 4: Finish unlocking the Hungry Door
The wooden door still needs a few more white ants to fully open. Select another white block from the tray to finish the job. Watch the white ants travel up the left side of the screen and hit the center lock. The number drops all the way down to zero and the brown double doors fly open. This reveals the hidden flag corner which contains a very dense pattern of red and white tiles crossed over each other. Exposing this isolated section finally gives your waiting red blocks a valid destination. You have successfully bypassed the biggest trap on the board without jamming your slots.
Step 5: Deploy red ants into the newly revealed section
Now that the red tiles are visible you can safely tap the connected red blocks in your tray. Both red blocks will slide into the waiting slots at the exact same time. The red ants pour out of the nest and head straight for the top left corner to eat the newly exposed red cross pattern. By waiting until the door opened you ensured these linked red blocks found immediate targets on the board. The red ants drain out of the slots very quickly. Your five slot queue remains safe and open for new pulls because you timed the deployment perfectly.
Step 6: Alternate blue and white blocks to clear the remaining stars
The main body of the flag still has large patches of solid blue and several white star clusters scattered around. Pull a blue block to keep eating away the main blue background on the right. Follow that move immediately with a white block to target the exposed white tiles in the top corner and the scattered stars. Alternating your block colors prevents any single color group from crowding the travel paths. The ants will divide their routes automatically and keep the line moving fast. This steady rhythm guarantees that your blocks empty out before the waiting slots get dangerously full.
Step 7: Clear the final upper border sections
As the center area of the flag disappears the ants must travel much further up the screen to reach the remaining border tiles. Pull your highest number blue blocks during this phase. The board is wide open now so the ants have clear straight paths to the top edge. Keep your eyes strictly on the tray and make sure you do not tap too many blocks in a panic. Let one blue block drain down significantly before you pull the next one. The travel delay means the blocks stay in your slots longer so patience is your best tool here.
Step 8: Send the last blocks to finish the board
You will have a few small clusters of red white and blue tiles left near the top left and top right corners. Look at your tray and match your final pulls perfectly to the remaining tile colors. Tap a red block to finish the last small piece of the red cross. Tap a white block to consume the final star tiles on the right side. Finally tap your last blue block to wipe out the remaining background pieces. The paths are completely clear so the ants will sprint to their targets. Once the final ant eats the last tile the board clears and you win the level.
Final Thought
Managing the block queue makes all the difference on this particular board. Opening the Hungry Door early saves you from a fatal slot jam later on and holding back the connected red blocks keeps your options open. Taking the time to understand the travel distance of your ants prevents you from overcrowding the paths. If you find any of these moves tricky to picture in your head please watch the video above this article. The recording shows the exact timing I used to keep the ants flowing without ever filling the waiting area.
