Welcome back to Colony Flow Level 940. This puzzle features a bright watermelon slice resting on a yellow base with a blue sky background. You will lead your ant colony to eat every single colored tile to finish the stage. You must manage your tray carefully to keep the ants moving without clogging your waiting slots.
Colony Flow Level 940 Overview
What You Are Working With
The main attraction is a large watermelon slice right in the center of the board. It has a bright red and pink core dotted with dark seeds. The rind consists of a light green inner layer and a dark green outer layer. The sky behind the fruit is made of cyan tiles. Several bright orange stars float in the sky. The melon sits on a base of yellow tiles. Your tray at the bottom holds a massive stack of colored blocks with high numbers. You have rows of cyan, red, pink, green, orange, and yellow blocks. The numbers range from the low teens all the way up to thirty. You only have five waiting slots available to hold these blocks.
What It Takes to Clear Level 940 Board
You win this level by completely clearing the board of all colored tiles. Every single pixel must be eaten by your ant colony. Your main obstacle is pure tray management. The cyan sky completely blocks access to the stars and the top of the watermelon body. You must clear the outer edges first to open physical paths to the inner colors. You only have five waiting slots at the bottom of the screen. If you fill all five slots with colors that cannot reach their matching tiles the entire operation stops. The ants will have nowhere to go and you will lose the level instantly. You must frame your entire strategy around keeping at least one active path open at all times so the waiting slots never jam.
Colony Flow Level 940 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Start with the outer cyan sky tiles
The cyan sky surrounds almost the entire picture and blocks your ants from moving inward. Pull the first cyan block from the tray into your waiting slots. The ants will stream out of the nest hole and begin eating the outer edges of the sky. This immediately opens up physical space on the board. You want to pull multiple cyan blocks early because they have direct access to the tiles right from the start. Watch the numbers on the blocks count down as the ants do their work. Do not pull all your cyan blocks at once. Keep at least two waiting slots empty for your next moves.
Step 2: Queue the first green rind blocks
Once the cyan ants clear the bottom corners the outer green watermelon rind becomes exposed. Pull the dark green block into your waiting area. You need to be very careful here. Only pull this block when you know the ants can actually reach the bottom edge of the slice. If you pull it too early it will sit in your tray and take up a valuable slot while the cyan ants finish their work. The dark green ants will march over to the bottom edge and start chewing through the outer rind. This clears the way for the lighter green layer underneath.
Step 3: Send out the orange blocks to clear the stars
As the cyan sky recedes further you will expose the orange stars floating near the top. Now is the perfect time to pull an orange block from your main tray. Place it in the waiting area alongside your active cyan blocks. The orange ants will climb up the open sides and target the stars. You want to clear these floating shapes quickly so they do not block access to the very top edge of the watermelon. Always make sure a cyan block remains active to keep the general pathways opening up while the orange ants do their specific job.
Step 4: Clear the light green inner rind layer
With the dark green layer mostly gone the light green inner rind is fully exposed. Find the light green block in your tray and pull it up into the waiting slots. The ants will follow the exact path created by the previous green ants. They will eat away the next layer of the watermelon slice. This is a critical move because it opens up the bottom access point to the red fruit and the yellow base tiles. Keep an eye on your waiting slots and do not pull the light green block until the dark green path is completely clear.
Step 5: Begin clearing the main red watermelon flesh
Now you finally have access to the main body of the watermelon. Pull a red block into your waiting slots. The red ants will flood into the center of the board and start clearing the bulk of the fruit. The red section is very large so you will need several red blocks to get through it. Pull them one by one to stay safe. Do not fill your entire tray with red blocks all at once. Wait for one red block to count down to zero before pulling the next one. This prevents tray lock and keeps the colony flowing smoothly.
Step 6: Tackle the dark red shading and black seeds
Inside the red flesh you will see darker red shading and black seeds. These require their own specific blocks from the tray. Once the standard red ants clear enough space around them you can pull a dark red block. The ants will clear the shaded areas of the fruit first. After that path opens you can pull the black block to remove the seeds. These are small sections but they can cause huge problems if you pull their blocks too early. Wait until the seeds are fully exposed on at least one side before pulling the black block.
Step 7: Clear the yellow background tiles at the bottom
The bottom of the board features a large yellow section acting as a plate or table. The green ants opened the path to this area earlier in the level. Pull a yellow block into your waiting slots now. The yellow ants will spread out across the bottom and eat these base tiles. The yellow section is broken into a few different pieces so the ants will need extra travel time to walk between them. Make sure you have an active red or cyan block running at the same time to maximize your overall clearing speed and keep the slots cycling.
Step 8: Complete the inner pink flesh of the melon
The watermelon has a lighter pink section near the rind. You need to clear this to finish the fruit entirely. Find the pink block in your tray and move it to the waiting area. The pink ants will march in and clean up the remaining flesh tiles. By now the center of the board should look very empty. Your tray will have far fewer blocks left to play. Maintain your strict discipline and only pull colors that have guaranteed open paths. Do not get reckless just because the level is almost over.
Step 9: Finish the remaining cyan sky blocks
There are usually a few stray cyan tiles left near the top corners by this stage. Pull your final cyan blocks to take care of these stragglers. The cyan ants have a long walk from the nest hole all the way to the top of the board. They will travel straight through the massive empty space left by the watermelon. Let them finish their journey and clear out the last bits of the blue sky. This will leave just a few isolated tiles remaining on the board.
Step 10: Clean up the final pieces
You are now in the final stage of the level. The board is almost completely clear. You will have a few yellow and orange blocks left in your bottom tray with low numbers. Pull them into your waiting slots to finish the job. The ants will target the last remaining star pieces and base tiles. Watch the final blocks count down to zero. The ants will eat the very last tiles on the screen and you will win the level.
Final Thought
That is how you conquer this puzzle. Patience and proper sequencing will get you through the toughest parts of the tray. If any move feels confusing in text you should watch the video above this article. Seeing the ants path through the open spaces makes the strategy much easier to understand.
