Colony Flow Level 2 presents a beautiful pixel art heart that you must clear away. You feed your hungry ant colony by matching colored blocks from the bottom tray to the tiles in the picture. I play every level to test the best moves and find the safest path to victory. The challenge here comes from managing massive numbers on your blocks without plugging up your limited space. Here is my complete guide to solving this puzzle without jamming your waiting slots.
Colony Flow Level 2 Overview
What You Are Working With
The puzzle board features a large heart shape made of three different colors. The top and bottom sections consist of bright pink tiles. The middle section contains light blue tiles. Right in the center of the blue section sits a yellow shape that looks exactly like a bow tie. All these tiles sit directly above a nest hole where your colony lives.
At the bottom of your screen is the tray holding your numbered blocks. The top row has three pink blocks that all start at the number 37. The next row down holds three light blue blocks. Two of these blue blocks are numbered 37 and the middle one is numbered 38. The bottom portion of the tray contains three yellow blocks. These yellow blocks are much smaller and carry the numbers 8, 9, and 8. Between the tray and the board are your five empty waiting slots. You send blocks into these slots to release the ants.
Level 2 Objective
Your goal is to clear the entire heart from the board by feeding every single tile to your ant colony. You win when the picture is completely gone and your ants finish cleaning up the screen. You lose if you fill all five waiting slots with blocks that have no clear path to their matching tiles. Keeping at least one active color moving at all times is your primary objective. This ensures the numbers keep dropping and the slots eventually empty out.
Colony Flow Level 2 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Pull three pink blocks to attack the bottom point of the heart.
You want to start at the closest point to the nest hole. The bottom tip of the heart is made entirely of pink tiles. Tap the three pink blocks in the top row of your tray to move them up into your waiting slots. All three blocks start at 37. Pink ants will immediately stream out of the nest hole and begin eating the bottom point of the heart. You will see the numbers on your blocks count down quickly from 37 to 30, 33, and 36 as the ants grab their food. Clearing this bottom point is vital. It opens up empty space around the outside edges of the heart. This space creates a clear travel path so the ants can reach the upper sections later in the round.
Step 2: Add two light blue blocks to start clearing the middle section.
Once the pink ants eat away the bottom tip, the light blue tiles become fully exposed to the board. Tap two of the light blue blocks from your tray to move them into your remaining waiting slots. I used the first blue 37 block and the blue 38 block for this move. Your five waiting slots are now completely full. You have three pink blocks and two light blue blocks active at the exact same time. Blue ants will join the pink ants on the board. The blue ants will target the light blue tiles on the lower edges of the middle section. The pink ants will continue traveling up the newly opened sides of the heart to reach the top pink section. The board will be swarming with two distinct colors of ants working in harmony.
Step 3: Wait patiently for a pink block to finish completely.
Your waiting slots are full right now so you cannot pull any more blocks from the tray. Do not panic and do not try to force any strange moves. Simply watch the ants do their work across the board. The pink ants will wrap all the way around the outer edges of the heart to reach the massive pink section at the very top. The blue ants will chew steadily through the light blue tiles in the middle. You will see the numbers on your pink blocks drop into the low single digits like 14 and 9. Eventually one of the pink blocks will hit zero. The block will expand in a quick visual animation and disappear completely from your waiting slots. This crucial moment opens up a free slot for your next move.
Step 4: Pull the final light blue block to clear the rest of the blue tiles.
Now that you have an open space in your waiting queue, you can pull the next color. Tap the final light blue 37 block from your tray. The blue ants will get a fresh burst of numbers to work with and will push deeper into the center of the heart. By this time your remaining pink blocks are also counting down to zero. A second pink block will finish and vanish from the slots. The heart shape will be mostly destroyed at this stage of the game. Only a few scattered pink and blue tiles will remain alongside the untouched yellow bow tie in the center.
Step 5: Pull the yellow blocks to clear the center bow tie shape.
As your light blue blocks and pink blocks finish their work, more waiting slots will open up at the bottom of the screen. The yellow bow tie is now fully exposed because the blue tiles surrounding it are gone. Tap the three yellow blocks from the bottom of your tray. These blocks have low numbers of 8, 9, and 8. Yellow ants will pour out of the nest and march straight into the center of the board. They will eat the yellow tiles very quickly. You do not have to worry about a jam here because the path is completely clear.
Step 6: Let the final ants clean up the remaining scattered tiles.
You have now pulled every single block from the tray. Your waiting slots will show the final countdowns for your remaining active colors. You might have a blue block down to a number 1 or a yellow block down to a number 2. The ants will run across the empty board to grab the very last pieces of the puzzle. Once the final tile disappears into the nest, the remaining ants will exit the board. The screen will clear and you will win the level.
Overall Strategy to Clear Level 2 Board
- Control the flow of pink blocks at the very start of the match. Pulling all three pink blocks immediately gives your colony enough numbers to chew entirely through the bottom point of the heart. This creates two separate travel paths up the left and right sides of the board. Opening the sides early prevents a massive bottleneck. It lets your pink ants reach the top section without getting stuck behind the middle blue tiles.
- Manage your full waiting slots with extreme care. When you pull the two light blue blocks in the second step, you completely fill all five slots. You must ensure that both pink and blue ants have active food targets. Because the pink ants can go up the sides and the blue ants can eat the middle, neither color gets blocked. This dual pathing keeps the numbers ticking down safely and prevents an instant game over.
- Never pull blocks if their matching tiles are buried under other colors. The yellow bow tie tiles are completely surrounded by light blue tiles at the start of the level. If you pull a yellow block too early, those yellow ants will have nowhere to go. The yellow block will sit in your waiting slot and waste valuable space. Always wait until a color is exposed to the open board before pulling the matching block from the tray.
- Pace your final tray pulls to keep the board moving smoothly. It is highly tempting to drag everything into the waiting slots as soon as a single space opens up. I strongly recommend letting the massive 37 and 38 blocks drain down to single digits before you flood the queue with the yellow blocks. Letting the big blocks clear out gives you plenty of empty slots for the final cleanup phase of the puzzle.
Final Thought
Clearing this level requires a steady pace and good slot management. The massive numbered blocks take plenty of time to count down. As long as you open the side paths early, your ants will never get stuck on the board. Watch the video above this article if any step is hard to follow in text. Seeing the ants move along the paths will help you understand the perfect timing for your block pulls.
