Welcome to Colony Flow Level 146. You face a giant pixel art duck wearing bright blue sunglasses and holding a tiny green sprout in its beak. This level requires you to dismantle a solid block of bright colors wrapped tightly in a thick brown outline. The background adds extra obstacles with light pink blocks and pale orange stripes that block your early moves. I play every single puzzle myself to find the safest routes. I will walk you through exactly how to feed your colony and keep your tray completely clear from start to finish.

Colony Flow Level 146 Overview

What You Are Working With

The central image on your screen is a very large yellow duck. Bright orange shading gives the feathers texture and depth around the bottom and sides. Bright blue and light blue tiles make up the large sunglasses right in the middle of the face. A dark brown border entirely encloses the bird and acts like a protective wall. Background shapes complicate the outer edges significantly. You have a chunk of solid pink and light pink tiles sitting right on the bottom left side. The top right corner holds a tall stack of light orange vertical bars. Your tray at the bottom starts with some very heavy numbers. You see a 70 orange block and a 35 brown block right away. Deeper rows hide more blocks that you cannot touch until you clear the top layers. The five waiting slots sit completely empty and ready for your very first moves.

What It Takes to Clear Level 146 Board

Winning this level means erasing every single colored tile from the screen until nothing is left. You do this by moving numbered blocks from the bottom tray into your five active waiting slots. Matching the color of the block to the exact color on the board sends your ants out to eat those tiles. You lose the level immediately if you fill all five slots with blocks that have no open paths to travel. The thick brown outline of the duck is your absolute biggest hurdle early on in this puzzle. It blocks direct access to the massive yellow interior section. You must chew through the outer edges and the scattered background shapes first. Peeling away the outer layers uncovers the deeper tray rows and gives you the exact colors you need to finish the center.

Colony Flow Level 146 Step by Step Solution

Step 1: Start with the heavy orange shading and the light yellow background areas

Your first moves need to establish paths around the bottom edge of the duck. Pull the 70 orange block from the tray into your first waiting slot. Grab the 17 light yellow block and place it in the second slot. The orange ants stream out of the nest hole and attack the heavy shading near the bottom feathers. The light yellow ants head toward the background bars on the right side of the screen. These two colors have completely open paths right from the very start of the level. Letting these large blocks count down frees up room on the board and keeps your slots from jamming early on. Do not touch the brown blocks just yet. You want the orange ants to completely clear the outer shading so the thick brown outline becomes fully exposed for your next wave of attacks.

Step 2: Bring in the pink and brown blocks to open the lower left corner

With the initial orange tiles clearing out you can shift your focus to the bottom left side of the picture. Move the 38 pink block and the 35 brown block into your empty waiting slots. The pink ants immediately target the geometric background shapes sitting outside the duck. The brown ants begin chipping away at the thick bottom outline that protects the core of the bird. Breaking this bottom border is a critical move for your overall success. It creates a massive opening into the center of the picture that you will need later. The pink background blocks dissolve quickly and reveal even more of the duck shape underneath. Keep a very close eye on your remaining empty slots as these colors work. You always want at least one slot open to catch any unexpected color needs.

Step 3: Attack the light pink shapes on the right side of the board

You will notice new colors becoming available in the tray as the top rows disappear into the waiting slots. Pull the light pink blocks up into your active slots next. These ants march all the way up the right side of the screen. They target the background sections and the light orange vertical stripes hiding in the top corner. Clearing this top right area is absolutely vital for your board control. It removes the very last of the outer background clutter that distracts from the main objective. Keeping these perimeter colors moving ensures your tray does not fill up with useless blocks that stall your progress. The ants finish off the pink geometric shapes and leave the main duck entirely isolated in the center of the empty screen.

Step 4: Send the blue ants to dismantle the bright sunglasses

The center of the board is now exposed enough for you to target the face of the bird. You have access to the 46 blue block and the 43 light blue block in your lower tray rows. Pull both of these bright blocks into the waiting slots. The blue ants flow right into the middle of the duck and start eating the thick lenses and frames of the sunglasses. The light blue ants handle the inner reflections on the glass. This action completely hollows out the middle of the picture. The sunglasses take up a huge amount of space on the face and removing them splits the solid yellow body into much smaller sections. Your waiting slots should clear out nicely as the blue numbers drop all the way down to zero.

Step 5: Deploy the magenta block to wipe out the inner details

A 28 magenta block sits in the tray waiting for a clear path to open. Pull it up into an empty slot right now. These dark pink ants target the bottom border strip and a few inner detail lines scattered inside the duck. You absolutely need these specific tiles gone before you can unleash the heavy yellow blocks sitting in the tray. The magenta ants slide into the fresh gaps left by the sunglasses and the lower outline. They eat away the interior boundaries piece by piece. Check your five slots to make sure you still have plenty of room for the next phase. The board is now perfectly prepped for the biggest color clear of the entire level. The yellow core of the bird is completely vulnerable to a massive attack.

Step 6: Unleash the heavy yellow blocks on the main duck body

screenshot

The inner core of the bird consists entirely of solid yellow tiles packed tightly together. You have a massive 50 yellow block and a 39 yellow block ready in the active tray. Move them both up to the waiting slots without hesitation. A huge swarm of yellow ants floods the center of the board. They devour the main body tiles rapidly from the inside out. The picture shrinks drastically as the bright yellow center vanishes into nothing. The numbers on your yellow blocks will drop extremely fast because the paths are wide open in every single direction. This massive feeding frenzy clears the way to the final tray layers. The blocks at the bottom of the tray finally become accessible for your finishing moves.

Step 7: Clear the remaining orange shading sections

screenshot

With the yellow core mostly gone you can focus your attention on the stubborn orange tiles still clinging to the edges. Bring up the 45 orange block and any remaining smaller orange numbers from the deep bottom tray. The orange ants rush out and clean up the neck area and the top feathers of the duck. The board looks very bare at this exact point in the puzzle. Only a few scattered fragments of the outline remain untouched. You must be extremely careful here. Do not pull blocks you cannot use right away. Verify that the orange paths connect all the way to the top of the head before you fill your precious slots. Keeping that discipline prevents a tragic late level loss.

Step 8: Finish off the dark brown outline and the tiny sprout

You are finally on the last stretch of the puzzle. A 25 brown block and a 45 dark brown block sit deep in the remaining tray rows waiting for their turn. Pull them into your final open slots to trigger the end game. The brown ants scurry around the extreme edges of the picture to eat the very last border tiles. They trace the entire outside edge of where the giant duck used to be. A few stray light yellow and orange ants will mop up the final single squares left behind in the corners. You will also see a tiny burst of green ants take out the small green sprout hiding in the beak area. The last block hits zero and the board clears completely. You win the level and can move on.

Final Thought

Level 146 tests your patience with thick borders and heavily guarded interior colors. Always prioritize the outer background shapes before you try to force your way into the center of the duck. Keeping your five waiting slots flowing smoothly is the absolute only way to survive the massive yellow blocks waiting in the middle.
