Welcome to Colony Flow Level 804. This level features a relaxing pixel art canvas of a sleeping puppy but the gameplay is anything but sleepy. You need to manage a massive stack of colored blocks and a very busy board to win. I played this puzzle myself and found the perfect rhythm to keep the colony moving without failing.
Colony Flow Level 804 Overview
What You Are Working With
The pixel art displays a cute brown and white dog taking a nap on a large yellow bed. A solid cyan background fills the empty space around the dog. At the top left corner you will find dark blue letters spelling out snoring sounds. The tray at the bottom of your screen holds a tall stack of numbered colored blocks. Many of these blocks are connected boxes. The connected boxes are linked together vertically in the tray. When you tap a connected box both linked blocks will fly up into your waiting slots at the exact same time. The numbers on the blocks are quite high in this level. You will see many blocks requiring twenty five ants to completely clear.
What It Takes to Clear Level 804 Board
You clear the board when every single pixel is eaten by an ant and the entire colony returns to the nest hole. The main obstacle is the row of five waiting slots just above the tray. You lose the level instantly if you fill all five slots and the ants cannot find a path to their matching colors. Your primary goal is to keep at least one slot open at all times. You do this by only pulling blocks that match colors currently exposed on the board. You must carefully balance the massive yellow and cyan areas with the smaller details of the dog to keep the ants flowing without causing a traffic jam in your waiting slots.
Colony Flow Level 804 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Start with the white belly and outer brown fur.
Begin by pulling the large white block and the large brown block from the top of the tray. The white block targets the belly and face of the dog. The brown block targets the outer outline of the sleeping pup. Both of these blocks hold a high number of ants. Once you tap them the ants will pour out of the bottom hole and march directly toward the dog. The white ants will easily access the belly area because it sits right in the middle of the board. The brown ants will split up and walk around the edges of the dog to eat the dark brown fur outline. Since these blocks have high numbers they will sit in your waiting slots for a while. Do not pull any other colors until you see the numbers on the white and brown blocks start to drop significantly.
Step 2: Deploy the yellow ants to shrink the massive cushion.
The yellow bed takes up the entire bottom half of the pixel art canvas. Tap a yellow block from the tray once you have a free slot. The yellow ants will stream out and begin eating the bottom edge of the cushion. The yellow section acts like a huge wall that blocks the lower part of the board. You need to clear it steadily so your other ants have shorter walking distances later on. The tray contains several high number yellow blocks. Pull them one by one as space allows. Give the yellow ants plenty of time to chew through the bed pixels. If you pull too many yellow blocks at once you run the risk of filling your waiting slots completely. Keep a close watch on the ants as they work their way up the cushion.
Step 3: Handle the connected cyan boxes to clear the background.
You will notice several cyan blocks linked to other colors inside the tray. These are the connected boxes. When you tap a connected box pair you instantly fill two waiting slots. You must ensure you have at least two empty slots before touching these pairs. Pull the first connected cyan pair to send ants to the background. The cyan background wraps around the entire dog and the bed. The ants will naturally path to the lowest available cyan pixels first. The background is huge so the cyan blocks will take a long time to empty out. Let the cyan ants do their work while you focus on managing the remaining single blocks in your tray. A steady flow of cyan ants is required to prevent the background from blocking the top sections of the board.
Step 4: Target the orange and light brown shading inside the dog.
Once the dark brown outer fur is mostly gone you will uncover the inner details of the dog. The pixel art uses orange and light brown colors to create shading on the fur. Tap the orange block from the tray to send out the next wave of ants. The numbers on these shading blocks are slightly lower than the main body blocks. Your orange ants will march straight into the center of the puzzle to eat the exposed shading pixels. You must make sure a clear path exists through the yellow bed so the orange ants do not get stuck. If the yellow bed is completely solid the orange ants will simply walk around the outside edges to reach their target. Wait for the orange block to completely disappear from your waiting slots before moving to the next color.
Step 5: Send out magenta ants for the pink nose and ears.
The dog features a cute pink nose and pink inside the ears. These details use the magenta blocks located deeper in your tray. The magenta blocks carry very small numbers. Tap a magenta block only when the face of the dog is completely exposed. The ants will rush up the board and quickly consume the pink pixels. Because the required number of ants is so low the magenta block will vanish from your waiting slots almost immediately. This fast clear time is a great tool for managing your slot space. You can use the magenta blocks to quickly cycle through the tray without cluttering up your waiting area. Just be absolutely sure the nose and ears are not blocked by white or brown pixels before you tap the block.
Step 6: Release the dark blue ants for the snoring letters.
The dark blue pixels form the snoring sounds at the top left corner of the canvas. The block for this color is trapped deep inside the tray and is attached to a connected box pair. You must wait until the late stages of the puzzle to pull it. Make sure the entire left side of the dog and the background are completely clear. Tap the connected dark blue pair to send the ants on their long journey. The dark blue ants must walk from the bottom hole all the way to the top left corner. The long walk means the dark blue block will occupy a waiting slot for quite a while. Be patient and let the ants travel. Do not panic and pull extra blocks while you wait for the dark blue letters to vanish.
Step 7: Clean up the final scattered pixels to secure the win.
The board is now almost entirely empty. You will see just a few random yellow white and cyan pixels scattered across the canvas. Your tray will hold only the very last few blocks. Tap the remaining blocks to deploy the final cleaning crew. The paths are completely wide open now so the ants will walk straight to their targets. The danger of filling your waiting slots is practically gone at this stage. Watch the final ants hunt down the last remaining pixels. Once every single pixel is eaten the ants will turn around and march back into the nest hole. The level ends in a satisfying victory as the final ant disappears.
Final Thought
Level 804 requires extreme patience with the high number blocks and the large connected box pairs. You must constantly monitor your five waiting slots to ensure the ants always have an open path to their food.
