Welcome to Colony Flow Level 1070. You face a colorful pixel art portrait of an anime character holding a magical staff. The board is densely packed with tiles and your tray is loaded with high number blocks. You must carve a path from the nest hole at the bottom and carefully manage your available moves to avoid a total jam.
Colony Flow Level 1070 Overview
What You Are Working With
The pixel art picture features a girl with bright yellow hair wearing a wide brown and orange hat. She holds a large glowing staff made of bright pink and deep purple tiles. The background has four distinct corners made of light blue cyan tiles. A dark outline separates the different elements of the portrait. Down in your tray you will find standard single color blocks alongside connected boxes. These connected boxes link two colors together. You have to pull them into your waiting slots as one solid piece. The ants will only clear these connected boxes completely if they have an open path to both colors on the board.
What It Takes to Clear Level 1070 Board
Your main goal is keeping your five waiting slots from filling up with unusable blocks. You lose the level instantly if you fill all five slots and no ants can reach their matching colors. You must start at the bottom edge near the nest hole and carve a path upward. Always check the board to ensure a color is exposed before you pull its matching block into a slot. Pay special attention to the connected boxes to guarantee both colors are ready to clear. If you pull a connected box and only one color is open the block will stay stuck in your slot and ruin your chances of winning.
Colony Flow Level 1070 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Open the bottom edge with purple and orange blocks
The nest hole sits at the very bottom center of the board. The ants are trapped behind a wall of orange purple and brown tiles that form the base of the portrait. Begin by pulling an orange 30 block and a purple 35 block into your empty slots. The ants will stream out of the nest hole and eat away the bottom edge of the picture. The numbers on your blocks will count down as the ants consume the matching tiles. You will see the numbers drop rapidly as the ants carry the food back. This action creates a wide open space near the nest hole and exposes the inner layers of the portrait so you have room to target the yellow hair and the pink staff.
Step 2: Bring your first connected box into play safely
With the bottom edge broken you can safely pull your first connected box into the waiting slots. Locate the connected block featuring a pink eight and a yellow seven. Pull this connected piece up from the tray. Because you opened the bottom edge in the previous step the ants have a clear path to both the pink staff and the yellow hair. A wave of pink ants will rush to the left side to eat the staff base while yellow ants tackle the right side of the hair. This clears the connected box quickly and keeps your waiting slots open for the next moves.
Step 3: Hollow out the large yellow hair section
The yellow hair takes up a massive portion of the center board. You have several large yellow blocks in your tray including a yellow 33 and a yellow 30. Pull the yellow 33 block into an open slot. A huge swarm of yellow ants will march up the middle of the board and hollow out the main body of the hair. As the yellow 33 counts down to zero it exposes the deeper purple tiles that make up the glowing center of the magical staff. Always make sure the ants have an unbroken path to the new tiles you want to clear before pulling the next block.
Step 4: Dismantle the bright pink and deep purple staff
Now you need to clear the dark purple and bright pink sections of the staff. The staff sits right in the lower middle area and acts as a barrier blocking access to the upper hat. Pull a purple 34 block and a pink 27 block into your slots. The ants will swarm the staff and clear out a massive chunk of the center board. Watching the numbers tick down on these large blocks frees up immense space. As the pink and purple tiles disappear the board splits slightly and reveals the inner brown tiles of the character hat.
Step 5: Send cyan ants to the upper background corners
You will notice the light blue background corners are finally exposed on the left side. These cyan tiles form a border around the upper sections of the picture. Pull a cyan 25 block into a waiting slot. The cyan ants will travel up the open left side of the board and consume the entire top left corner. This journey takes a few seconds because the ants have to walk a long distance from the nest hole. The number on the block only drops when they actually eat the tile. This means the cyan block stays in your slot longer than blocks clearing nearby tiles so you must keep your other slots busy with closer targets.
Step 6: Clear the dark outlines to open the top hat
The board is looking much thinner but you still have tiles separating the different zones. Pull the black 14 block to send black ants running across the board. They will eat the dark pixel outlines separating the hat from the face and the background. With the black lines gone the different color zones merge into open space. Follow this up by pulling an orange 30 block and a brown 32 block to start working on the bright orange highlights and dark brown shading on the wide hat. Your waiting slots should be cycling rapidly now because the board is mostly empty space and the ants move fast.
Step 7: Activate the largest connected boxes
You have a few tricky connected boxes left in your tray. Find the connected box linking a yellow seven and a large pink 35. Pull it up only after you verify that the top right yellow hair and the remaining pink staff fragments are fully open. The pink 35 will completely finish off the magical staff while the yellow seven eats into the top right hair. Keeping your eyes on the board ensures you never pull a connected box too early. Then pull the connected pink five and purple nine block to handle the last few scattered staff pixels in the center.
Step 8: Clean up the final scattered tiles to win the level
Only a scattered handful of tiles remain along the very top edge and the right side. You have a few small blocks left in your tray. Pull the connected box containing a yellow one and a yellow nine. Then pull your final cyan seven block. The last wave of cyan ants will sweep across the very top border and eat the final light blue pixels. The yellow ants will clean up the last tiny fragments of the hair on the right side. The board clears completely and you win the level.
Final Thought
Level 1070 tests your patience with connected boxes and long travel times for the ants. Always prioritize opening the bottom pathways first so your ants can reach the higher sections without delay. Keep a close watch on your five waiting slots and never pull a block unless you are absolutely sure the ants have a clear road to that color.
