Colony Flow Level 964 gives you a fun pixel art puzzle shaped like a cat carrying a large green flag. You face a massive background of dark red tiles that completely surrounds the main image. Your main challenge is carving a path through that outer shell to reach the detailed colors inside. I will show you exactly how to break down the barriers and keep your tray from jamming.
Colony Flow Level 964 Overview
What You Are Working With
The board presents a pixel art cat right in the center. The cat has an orange body, a yellow face, white paws, and a dark blue outline. It carries a massive green square flag on its back. This entire image is locked inside a huge background of solid dark red tiles. The red tiles block almost all access to the cat from the sides and the top. There is a Hungry Door sitting right in the middle of the green flag. You must clear all the required green colors to open this door. Your block tray at the bottom of the screen is packed with heavy numbers. The top layer displays five heavy dark red blocks including two 50 blocks, a 56 block, another 50 block, and a 52 block. Below them you have light blue, pink, dark blue, yellow, and green blocks waiting.
What It Takes to Clear Level 964 Board
To beat this level you must dismantle the puzzle from the outside in. The massive dark red background is your very first target. Clearing it gives your ants room to move around the main image. You lose the level if you fill all five waiting slots and no ants can clean the board. This means you must never trap your ants by pulling a block that has no open path. You will clear the outer red shell, then the white paws, and then the dark blue outline. Once the outline falls you will tackle the green flag and feed the Hungry Door. Finally you will sweep up the orange body and the yellow face to clear the board completely.
Colony Flow Level 964 Step by Step Solution
Step 1: Clear the heavy dark red background to open outside pathways.
Begin your game by focusing entirely on the massive dark red background. This background forms a solid wall around the whole cat shape and touches three edges of the screen. You need to break this wall down immediately to give your ants space to move. Look at your tray at the bottom of the screen. You will find a solid row of dark red blocks sitting right on top. Pull the first dark red 50 block into your first waiting slot. The ants stream out of the nested hole and immediately begin eating the bottom edge of the red background. Next pull the second dark red 50 block and the dark red 56 block right after it. You have hundreds of dark red tiles available on the board so these blocks will never jam your tray. The ants split up and march up both the left and right sides of the puzzle. This action opens a wide empty channel along the outer edge of the screen. Keeping these outer channels open is how you prevent a board jam later. The ants will smoothly march up these sides without bumping into each other. Wait patiently until the numbers on these first three blocks drop extremely low before you pull anything else into your tray.
Step 2: Remove the white paws to create an opening under the cat.
With the lower section of the red background totally gone the white tiles making up the cat paws are finally exposed. You have a white block waiting just under the top layer in your tray. Tap this white block to bring it into your fourth open waiting slot. The ants easily find a direct path straight up from the hole to the bottom of the cat legs. They quickly eat through the white tiles. This action creates a large gap between the front and back legs of the cat. You must always look for these small entry points to break into the main shape. Clearing the white tiles early prevents the white block from getting stuck in your tray later when you need room for green and orange blocks. You still have your initial dark red blocks working on the upper background at this same time. This overlap is perfectly fine because the bottom half of the board is wide open and the ants have plenty of space to travel.
Step 3: Strip away the remaining upper dark red border completely.
The top half of the dark red background still covers the upper corners of the board and blocks the top of the green flag. You have another dark red 52 block and a dark red 50 block sitting in your tray. Pull both of them into your remaining waiting slots right now. The ants travel all the way up the cleared left and right channels to reach these top corners. Watching them clear the thick top corners is very satisfying and this action entirely removes the dark red color from the board. Your waiting slots will free up completely as these heavy blocks hit zero and disappear from the tray. You now have full open access to every side of the central cat and flag image. Never pull a different color block while the dark red blocks are finishing the top corners or you risk clogging your tray with blocks that have no valid path.
Step 4: Erase the dark blue outlines surrounding the central cat shape.
The pixel art cat features a thick dark blue outline defining its shape and separating the body colors. You can now reach every part of this outline from the outside empty space. Pull the dark blue 12 block into your empty waiting slot. The ants march up the open board and start chewing away the dark blue lines around the feet and tail. They work their way around the back legs and up the spine. Pulling the dark blue block at this exact moment is safe because the entire outer edge is clear of the red tiles. The ants can easily wrap around the top of the cat head to reach the outline tiles hiding up there. This strips the image down to its core colors and makes the next steps much easier to manage. You will not have to worry about the dark blue border blocking your access to the orange or green sections inside.
Step 5: Begin feeding the Hungry Door located in the massive green square.
The large green square on the back of the cat features a Hungry Door sitting near the top edge. This door requires a massive amount of green food tiles to open and clear. You must clear the required green colors to satisfy the door mechanism. Start this process by pulling the green 20 block and the green 38 block from your tray. The ants rush to the right side of the board and quickly attack the solid green square. Every single green tile they eat lowers the requirement number on the Hungry Door. You must feed this door steadily to keep the level moving. Pull another green block into your tray to keep the stream of ants working on the large green area. The green shape shrinks steadily from the bottom right corner moving inwards toward the center. This clears a massive space on the right side of the screen and gives you incredible flexibility for your next moves.
Step 6: Clear the bright orange body sections of the pixel art cat.
While the green blocks are actively working on the green flag you can start clearing the cat itself. The main body and the head consist of many bright orange tiles. Pull an orange block into an open waiting slot to get started on the body. The ants move straight into the center of the board and eat the orange body tiles located above the legs. They carve out the back and begin working on the top of the head. Ensure you only pull one orange block at a time during this phase. The orange tiles are somewhat scattered among the yellow face tiles and the white chest pieces. If you pull too many blocks you might fill your five waiting slots and lose the level instantly. The ants easily navigate the empty spaces left by the missing dark blue outline to reach every orange tile on the board.
Step 7: Finish the Hungry Door requirement to clear the entire green flag.
The Hungry Door still needs more green tiles to fully open and clear its section. Look down in your tray for the remaining high numbered green blocks. Pull the green 51 block and the green 33 block into your waiting slots to finish the job. The ants swarm the remaining top half of the green square covering the back of the cat. They eat the final green tiles wrapped right around the door itself. The countdown number on the Hungry Door hits zero and the door opens completely. This final action clears the entire green section from the board permanently. Your waiting slots clear out quickly as the large green blocks finish their count and vanish. You now have a mostly empty board with just a few scattered facial details and tail pieces left to handle.
Step 8: Clean up the final yellow face and dark purple tail details.
Only the yellow cat face and a few dark purple tail details remain on the board at this point. Pull the yellow 31 block and the yellow 21 block into your tray to clear the face and ears. The ants have a completely straight open path to these yellow tiles so they finish the job in seconds. Finally pull the remaining dark purple and black blocks to finish the very last pieces of the tail and the eye. Pull the final light blue block if any pieces remain on the chin. The ants grab these last few scattered tiles and the level is won. Keeping your paths wide open from the very beginning made this final cleanup fast and simple. You never let your waiting slots fill up and you fed the Hungry Door exactly when you needed to.
Final Thought
Colony Flow Level 964 teaches you the absolute value of clearing the outside borders before tackling the center details. By removing the massive dark red shell first you guarantee your ants always have an open path to their target. The Hungry Door might look intimidating but steady feeding clears it without any trouble at all. Keep your waiting slots managed carefully and you will master this board easily.
