Welcome to my walkthrough for Colony Flow Level 1247. This stage drops you into a massive and colorful pixel art village scene featuring bright houses and tall green trees. The level looks intimidating at first glance because the food tiles are packed tight and the numbers on your tray blocks are very high. I play every single stage myself and I know exactly how fast things can go wrong if you pull the wrong colors too early. You have to manage your tray space perfectly to avoid a sudden loss. Let me teach you how to break this picture down piece by piece and lead your ant colony to a perfect clear.

Colony Flow Level 1247 Overview

What You Are Working With

The pixel art picture dominates the top half of your screen. The scene features two dark red houses with glowing yellow windows. Thick layers of dark green and light green tree leaves surround the buildings and fill the middle of the board. The very top of the picture holds a wide sky made of white and light blue cloud tiles along with some orange border details. Down below you have your tray filled with rows of colored blocks. You start with massive single blocks like Green 30 and White 35. These blocks carry large numbers meaning the ants have a lot of eating to do before the block clears. Later in the stage you face connected boxes. These are two blocks linked by a solid line. They pull into the waiting slots as a complete pair. They take up two of your five precious slots instantly and you must feed both colors to free up that space.

What It Takes to Clear Level 1247 Board

You complete the board when every colored food tile is gone and the ants return to the nest. The core rule of the game dictates how you lose. You have exactly five empty slots above your tray. Every time you tap a block it moves into a slot and waits for the ants. If you fill all five slots and the ants cannot reach the right colored food tiles the entire board freezes. A frozen board means game over. You must always leave an open physical path for the ants to reach the tiles that match the blocks in your slots. Your entire strategy revolves around pacing your pulls and never creating a dead end.

Colony Flow Level 1247 Step by Step Solution

Step 1: Focus on the bottom grass and the house foundations to open the map.

Start by pulling the Green 30 block and the Black 25 block from the front row of your tray. The ants stream out of the nest hole at the bottom of the screen and rush straight for the lowest green grass tiles. They also start chewing away the black borders outlining the bottom of the houses. The numbers on your blocks drop rapidly as each ant grabs a tiny square of food and carries it away. You want to let the ants clear these lower sections almost entirely before you do anything else. Clearing the bottom layers removes the physical barrier blocking the rest of the picture. Your waiting slots stay perfectly clear because the ants have instant direct access to the green and black food tiles right above their nest.

Step 2: Open up the main red house structures and clear the windows.

With the bottom border completely out of the way your ants can finally reach the thick red walls of the houses. Pull the Red 34 block into a waiting slot. You can also pull the Yellow 10 block right alongside it. The ants will swarm the red structure and quickly consume the yellow window tiles. You will see the Red block count down slowly from the thirties all the way to single digits before it finally vanishes from the slot. Keep a close eye on the red roof sections. The red tiles clump together heavily up there and provide plenty of food to empty the block. Feeding the red block clears a huge portion of the lower half of the screen. This action creates a wide empty space right in the middle of the board for the ants to travel through.

Step 3: Hollow out the dense green tree canopy in the center.

The exact middle of the board is completely packed with dark green and light green leaves. Pull the Light Green 9 block and the Purple 8 block next. The purple tiles act like small fruits or deep shadows mixed right into the tree branches. Getting the purple blocks out of the tray is very important because they block your access to the larger numbers waiting underneath them. The ants will march up through the empty space left by the houses and chew right through the center of the trees. The board begins to look completely hollowed out at this point. You still have plenty of room in your waiting slots so you can afford to pull another Blue 15 block to start working on the sky right behind the branches.

Step 4: Attack the open sky and the bright cloud tiles.

The top section of the picture features massive patches of light blue and white cloud tiles. Pull the White 35 block and the Blue 34 block into your slots. The ants have a very long walk from the nest to the top of the board now. This distance changes the pace of the game entirely. It takes much longer for the numbers on the blocks to count down because the round trip for each ant takes several seconds. You must be incredibly patient right here. If you pull extra blocks while the ants are making that long trek you risk clogging up your five slots. Just sit back and watch the white tiles slowly vanish one by one as the ants clear the thickest parts of the sky.

Step 5: Handle the tricky connected boxes without jamming the slots.

Now the tray reveals the connected boxes mechanic. You will see a Black 5 block permanently linked to a Green 19 block. When you tap them they slide into the waiting slots together and occupy two spaces at once. You must have both black and green tiles exposed on the board for the ants to clear these blocks. Luckily you saved the upper green leaves and the final black roof lines just for this exact moment. The ants will divide their forces automatically. Half the colony eats the green tiles while the rest finish off the black tiles. Both numbers count down safely. The connected blocks disappear together without causing a slot jam.

Step 6: Clear the final clouds and finish the top border details.

Only a few scattered patches of sky and top border details remain on the board. Pull the Yellow 15 block and the Light Green 10 block to clear out the remaining clouds in the top left corner. Let the ants finish those completely. Then pull the Orange 3 block into a slot. Orange tiles usually sit right at the very top edge of the board serving as small details in the sky. Another set of connected boxes will appear in your tray featuring a White 11 block linked to an Orange block. Pull them into the slots. The ants will march all the way up the right side of the screen and eat the absolute last food tiles. The picture is now totally empty. The ants will gather around the outer edges of the screen and you win the round.

Final Thought

Level 1247 requires serious patience with those long travel times and careful planning for the connected boxes. Take it slow and let the ants do their heavy lifting. Watch the video above this article if you want to see the exact timing of these block pulls in action.
