Colony Flow Level 303 Overview

What You Are Working With

The board features a large pink character resembling a popular creature with huge eyes and pointed ears. This character is made of pink tiles and black outline tiles. The whole picture sits on a large white canvas background. Right in the middle of the character sits a Hungry Door covering the mouth area. This door has a blue lock with the number 20 on it. Your tray at the bottom holds several colored blocks including white, black, pink, and light blue. You will also see blocks with question marks on them. These are Hidden Boxes that hide their color until they have a valid path to move. The white canvas surrounds the entire picture and creates a massive border that your ants must eat away.

What It Takes to Clear Level 303 Board

To clear the board you must send your ants to eat every single colored tile on the screen. You need to pull numbered blocks from the tray and place them into your five waiting slots. The ants match the color of the block and travel along open paths to eat the matching tiles. You must feed the Hungry Door with blue ants to unlock the tiles hidden underneath it. You win the level when the picture is completely gone and the ants finish their routes. The biggest danger is filling all five waiting slots in your tray. If you pull too many blocks and the ants cannot find a clear path to their matching tiles, the slots will jam. When all five slots fill up and no ants can move, you lose the level. Every move you make must keep at least one path open.

Colony Flow Level 303 Step by Step Solution

Step 1: Clear the bottom corners of the white canvas and the lower pink body.

You want to start by opening up the bottom area of the board to create walking paths for your ants. Tap a white 30 block from your tray to send white ants to the bottom corners of the canvas. Tap a pink 32 block right after to send pink ants to the lower edges of the character body. The ants will stream out of the nest hole and begin eating the lowest tiles they can reach. This immediate action creates a wide open space at the bottom of the board. Keep a close eye on your five waiting slots. The white block and the pink block will sit in those slots until all their numbers count down to zero. You now have three slots open for your next moves.

Step 2: Attack the lower black outlines.

With the bottom corners cleared you expose the black tiles that form the outline of the character. Tap a black 32 block from your tray. The black ants will march out and target the thick black line tracing the bottom of the pink body. This move is crucial because the black outline blocks the inner pink tiles from being reached. By eating the outer black border you open up new direct routes into the center of the picture. The black block will take up a third slot in your waiting area. You must wait for the white and pink blocks to finish their countdowns and leave the slots before you pull too many new colors.

Step 3: Feed the blue ants to the Hungry Door.

The center of the board features a Hungry Door that requires 20 blue ants to open. You will find a light blue 22 block in your tray. Tap this blue block to send the ants toward the door. The blue ants do not eat food tiles. They march directly into the door to satisfy the lock. The number on the door will count down from 20 as each ant enters. This process takes time and the blue block will occupy one of your waiting slots while the ants travel. You must be patient and let the blue ants do their work. Do not pull unnecessary blocks while the door is counting down because you need to keep your waiting slots from jamming.

Step 4: Reveal the Hidden Boxes in the lower tray.

screenshot

As you clear the front blocks out of your tray you will expose the blocks covered with question marks. These are your Hidden Boxes. They hide their actual color until the game calculates they have a valid path to move on the board. Once you pull the blocks in front of them the question marks vanish and reveal new white and pink blocks. You will need these newly revealed blocks to clear the upper sections of the white canvas and the top pink half of the character. Wait for your current active blocks to finish completely so your waiting slots empty out before you tap these new blocks.

Step 5: Clear the red mouth tiles hidden under the door.

screenshot

When the Hungry Door countdown reaches zero the door completely vanishes from the board. This reveals a small cluster of red tiles underneath which form the mouth of the character. Tap the red 2 block from your tray. The red ants will rush straight up the middle of the board and eat those two red tiles. This is a very fast move and the red block will leave your waiting slot almost immediately. Clearing the mouth opens up the very center of the board. This gives your other ants a much shorter and more direct route to the massive eyes and the top half of the head.

Step 6: Clear the massive eyes with black and blue blocks.

screenshot

The character has gigantic eyes made primarily of black outline tiles and dark blue inner tiles. Tap a black 30 block and a light blue 11 block to target these eye sections. The ants will march up through the newly opened center path and begin eating the eyes. These eye clusters are quite large and take a significant number of ants to clear. Your waiting slots will hold these blocks for a while as the ants make the long trip up the board. Monitor your tray carefully. Make sure you leave at least one or two slots empty so you never hit a dead end if a path temporarily blocks another group of ants.

Step 7: Finish the upper pink head and the top ears.

screenshot

Now you need to clear the top half of the character. Tap a pink 25 block and a light pink 36 block. The ants will travel all the way up the sides and through the center to reach the ears and the top of the head. The travel distance is getting very long at this point in the level. Long travel times mean your blocks stay in the waiting slots much longer. You must balance your pulls. Tap one pink block and watch the ants establish their route. Once they start clearing a solid chunk of the head you can tap the next pink block. This prevents your ants from clustering too tightly and blocking each other along the narrow top paths.

Step 8: Clear the final top white border.

The last remaining tiles on the board will be the white canvas along the very top edge. Tap your remaining white 28 block and white 24 block. The white ants have to walk from the nest hole all the way to the top corners of the screen. This is the longest path in the entire level. Because the picture is mostly empty the ants have a wide open space to walk across without getting blocked. Watch the white blocks count down as the ants consume the final border tiles. The last block will vanish from your tray and the board will be completely empty. You have successfully managed your waiting slots and cleared the level.

Final Thought

Beating this board requires careful management of your five waiting slots and a steady approach to the Hungry Door. You have to balance clearing the outer canvas with feeding the center lock so your paths never close up. If you find any step confusing or if you want to see exactly how I timed my blocks please watch the video above this article. Seeing the ants move in real time makes the strategy perfectly clear.
